A great song covered from a great band
When Big Country do a cover, they own it
Cute. Not with BOC.
Cute. Not with BOC. And they know that.
In an interview Buck Dharma said this was his favorite cover which is what brought me here. Missing the solo. But other than that yes it's very good.
I also checked this out cuz buck dharma said it’s his favourite cover of this song.
Same!! :)
I saw that same interview, I had no idea Big Country had done a cover of it. Very cool.
Same 😂
Same!
Excellent cover. I see why Buck likes it.
Stuart and the boys made everything better.
Oh my god, I only found out about this band last autumn, and this is my first time hearing this cover too ! through a film that I caught on TV one night, " Restless natives " ... I only put it on because I read that Bernard Hill was in, but not starring role etc .. .
Anyways as any " Big country " fans will know the band sings the film's theme song, of its own namesake ... 🎸🎼 🎵 🎧 " Restless natives " and from there I was introduced, and RUclips searched the band a bit and I'm enjoying a handful of there own songs now, and a couple of covers that they have done real justice to, Neil Young's " Rockin in the free world " is great, some of the recordings of them singing live on stage are belting, like proper boss job, made it 100% there's, right in the moment.
Quality band, they are/were so talented, Rest in peace to lead singer, William '' Stuart '' Anderson. 🎸 🎵 🎶 🎻
I figured if Buck thinks this is his favorite cover of this song than I had to check it out. I'm not disappointed. Pretty cool.
Who knew these guys could rock so hard?!
I did .Big Country rocked with the best of them 👍☺.ask mick Jagger n Co
@@brianbigcountry Correction. Big Country is the best of em.
🙋🏻♀️🎸🔥
I saw them live sixteen times from The Crossing to the final tour with Stuart and three or four times since - the original four: Stuart, Mark, Tony and Bruce were amazing - the studio recordings never really showed how good they were, but if you were in a venue a couple of thousand - oh lord they could rock with the very best of them.
WHAT!? Why have I never heard this before!!! Just when you thought you heard it all...
First time I have heard this song, love this :)
Is that Will Ferrell on the cow bell?
This is a great cover, it stays true to the original with a little Big Country flavor.
You know, there's only one thing this song needs....
Louder speakers? Lol!🐄🔔😂
I love the drawl on the vocals

I’ve seen The Oyster Boys over a dozen times. I think they are the best ever! I have a couple of good stories of a couple shows and friends I went with to the shows. Best times ever man!
@@markroberts1838 great band, seen them about 6 times from 1977, favourite band 👌
@@davidcartledge6620 right on man! They still tour. I forgot about the concert they just played at The Golder Nugget, or I would have purchased tickets and flew there. BALLS!!
@@markroberts1838 i was gonna try and get over for one of the anniversary gigs in NYC, but being in Scotland it would have been a bit hectic, missed the bouchard brothers in Scotland last month, would have loved to have seen them
@@davidcartledge6620 BOC will be in Glasgow on the 22nd. You gotta see them and report back. Cheers!
BC never made a bad song .
