As Stewart called it near the end, a great video and a great wiring job. I particularly liked the custom shield placed over the fuse block and wiring terminations beneath the passenger bench.
Old video but just an F.Y.I. Airbag switches are also use as an item that helps reduce the cost of repair if the vehicle is in an accident. Airbags are EXTREMELY expensive to replace and are often times the deciding factor in weather or not the vehicle is deemed a total loss. Love the video. Stay safe. God Bless.
Awesome video, very informative... Could you do one with a 'complete' lightbar install ? In that regard, is there any alternative to making a hole in the roof ? maybe a plug that connects to a plug on the outside wire, and the inside wire, so you have like a 'quick (dis)connect' .
love this setup only thing im not fond of is the lights in the dash was the grill, mirror and Whelan bar not enough or was it particular to this agency ?
Brandon Carroll It was a request by the Agency. The angled Dash Lights are something you don't see often. For a short amount of time, Whelen offered a product called the Inner-Beam. It was a set of linear light-heads in special side angled shrouds that affixed in the dash corners. We had used them in several special builds prior to this Truck and with the Inner-Beam's no longer offered, we came up with the idea to use the Spit Fire ION's to make a similar set-up.
You guys have been great at replying thus far, and it is greatly appreciated. I will definitely be buying my parts from Sirennet. That being said, random question for you guys. I'm putting together a vehicle soon and I want a complete setup in dual color. I want a switch on my controller that changes from amber to red, and vice versa. I want a 6 element rear bar, hide aways, front grille lights, and an interior front visor bar. Which brand do you guys recommend for these lights?
Good Afternoon :) Chris can offer you some great suggestions. Please feel free to email him at- chrisa@sirennet.com. Please note the Vehicle make and model if you don't mind. Thank You.
+Grenadieros This Silverado was done up a bit simpler (warning wise) then a normal Patrol Vehicle where commonly we'd add Hide-Away's and a Head-light Flasher. The Grill, Mirror, Dash and overhead Liberty Bar are really all that's needed for effectively Lighting up this great Truck.
My apologies for commenting on a two year old video, but how do they manage to mount those lights so close to the windshield? Are they glued? it's extremely difficult to reach there with a powerdrill
+Garpenlov For the Dash-corner Lights, special bases were made to raise them about 1/2" off the dashboard to give them better output. They are affixed to the base with very strong 3M double-sided adhesive and the base itself is mated to the Dash using them same adhesive. Drilling the dash was out of the question.
If I might ask, Why do agencies seem to prefer the Intersector mirror mount lights over the ION V-Series 3-in-1? Is it just cost? or is there some other reason?
In this build, they ION V series was not yet available. We do have agencies that use the V series in place of the Intersector. Depending on the Vehicle and it's use, appropriate lights are used. If warning and white alleys are needed for the build, the ION V's would be used to satisfy the requirement.
The main black 'long' extension is custom as well as the 'L' mounts on the ends that extend it off the floor. The Butt-plate and Lock are Orderable parts. On Sirennet.com, we offer a wide array of mounting options and kits from Tufloc. Please take a look at the following link- We're sure you'll find a solution for mounting up your MMR. sirennet.com/store/cat/category/gun-locks
You guys don't happen to have a way to apply for a job do you? I do light installs on my own personal vehicles as well as am starting my own business and would be interested in finding a way to get in with you guys instead.
Hi Ben, If you wouldn't mind emailing us or giving us a call, we'd be glad to chat with you. We can be reached at: info@sirennet.com, or call us at (503) 670-4700.
We will most certainly work on doing a video with a complete lightbar install. The quick disconnect is an actual part and in fact is called a "quick disconnect" made by Code 3. Please contact our office at (888) 959-0911 and we would be happy to give you more information on that product.

Thanks for watching :)
Ive found Silverados are one of the easiest trucks to work on and disassemble, I loved mine for that reason.
Such an awesome rig. Perfect.
Thank you for watching :)
Fascinating stuff! You're guys do great work

Wonderful job. Amazing skills. Nice build.
+Harvey Ibarra Thank You. We really liked this build up. The rear Soundoff Flood Lights have been a huge benefit to the Truck.

thank you very much for the response i love your guys builds and product range
When will you show a simple wiring of the federal signal sirens system.
Just depends on when a vehicle that's going to us one comes through.
@@SIRENNET not specifically that type of sirens. I just want to know how to wire one to my own car
The airbag thing... idk about anyone else, but every, i mean every vehicle in my family had one stock.
They would have put a headache rack on it then put the lightbar and work lights on that
The length of lightbar on this truck is 55" which is the typical length for a vehicle of this width.
Always thought it was strange how they have the interior door handles
Amazing.. love these videos
Good job stu.

how do you remove the grill? I have a 2015.... trying to do a similar setup in the grill
Wonderful job by the team here too !
May i ask why no strobe bulbs at the front lights?

Great Video!
It is for a different Oregon based Agency.
How come trim never comes off that easy when doing an extraction? LOL!
By chance, have you guys completed an installation on a 2018 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab?
None come to mind building out a 2018. The 2500/3500 are pretty abundant and what we see the most.
How many man hours did it take to build and install all the lights and equipment in that truck
We don't recall exactly, but likely it took around 40 hours to complete. Thanks for watching!
Was that a .22 in the back? Noticed the magazine. Sweet truck.
A little bigger... .308.
SIRENNET Holy moley that did not look like a .308 lol! I saw what seemed to be a slit in the magazine like they do on those AR15 .22s for round count.
what typical length lightbar is it for a truck, 48 or 55?
and what length was that one?

Is that mount for the AR custom? I'm looking for one for my Mossberg MMR.

Is this for oregon police?
How long does an average build take the company?
With a Crew of 2 on a Vehicle, typically 20-30 hours. More for bigger builds.
@2:12 What antenna's are being used?
The antenna's are made by Laird Technologies. They have a wide, wide selection for all kind's of communications equipment.
