This is a really awesome trip to San Antonio and to the Alamo it is really very awesome there especially along the river walk. I've been to a lot of
places in Texas but I haven't been to San Antonio however.

I have been to the San Antiono Riverwalk and the Alamo! It is such a historic place! That is a beautiful and meaningful monument. Also, it is wicked cool that Davy Crockett is your 9th Great Grandfather! I love all of your Texas videos!

Guess what, I live in the town of Gonzales! Our town was the first battle of the Texas Revolution. You and Cris should come visit. Love your videos!!

Man, iove San Antonio, my hometown, and where i live. It is one of the most beautiful places. Super historical and one of the oldest cities. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. You definitely need a couple of days to explore here. Im not the biggest fan of what they are doing to the Alamo, but it's still beautiful. The hospital feels real heavy because it was the most gruesome part of the battle. God bless all affected by the hurricanes and stay safe out there. On to the next Haunt!!!!

Glad you are all safe. My son is stationed near NAS Pensacola. He is on detail to monitor the storm. I loved visiting the Alamo! I recommend watching the movie Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. It features the Alamo and is hilarious.

Great video! Talk about scary, I was on my way to boot camp at Lackland Air Force Base in 1986 and at the airport I saw a clown. Six weeks later we get our one and only day in San Antonio and as I approached the front of the Alamo there stood the very same clown! Spooky!!!!! Never liked clowns after that. 😂

Glad they are finally allowing video recordings of the grounds and church building(Alamo). They used to jump on someone for doing that. Miss the days when the artifacts were out for all to see…no paying. Across the street they are making the buildings into a museum/visitor center.
Welcome to my home city Jay, I don't go downtown much because of the construction, but if you want a really good Riverwalk experience, come back during the holidays, it's all lit up. Lights in the trees, beautiful things to see and do, maybe you n Cris and come back together. Also the Pearl district is nice as well. Safe travels for you and Bella,hope you are all ok!

Hey Tampa Jay. I’m from Houston, but I love going to San Antonio and the rest of the hill country. Davy Crockett is buried in the church near the court house downtown. You may want to go check that out next time too

Can you give an update on you house in Tampa is it ok Milton was such a bad hurricane
Just got back home. Looks like we are on the same grid as MacDill AF base. So it is super protected. Our hurricane proof building did not lose it's hat like Tropicana field. Step on our balcony and there it is across the bay flapping debris on it's roofless top. Makes me sad!!

Davy Crockett was my step grandfather. He married my 2nd great grandmother Elizabeth Patton Crockett after the death of her husband.
Too bad you missed the San Fernando Cathedral a few blocks away from the Alamo. There you will find the remains of Bowie, Crockett, and Travis entombed at the entrance of the cathedral. Also there’s a plaque (it’s kind of obscure) across from the Shops at Rivercenter (the mall next to the Alamo) that shows where the remains of several Texas defenders were burned.

The Alamo's real name is San Antonio de Valero. There's four other missions in the area that are equally old. Mission San Juan, Mission San Jose, Mission Concepcion and Mission Espada. I'm surprised they didn't immediately shut down your filming. It's against the rules to record video in a shrine.
