- Mitsuwa Marketplace is a Japanese supermarket located in Edgewater New Jersey, right across the Hudson River from New York City. It was called Yaohan when it opened in 1988, but changed its' name to Mitsuwa in the late 1990's. It has both a Japanese food court and a Japanese grocery store. There are also shops located in the strip mall outside selling Japanese goods. Mituswa's food court has really great tempura, ramen, katsu curry, gyudon beef and rice, as well as several snacks and desserts. The grocery store sells fresh produce, real wasabi, as well as other vegetables and fruits imported from Japan. There is great fresh sushi grade fish, as well as thin sliced beef and pork for shabu. Staples like the bulldog vegetable sauce and kewpie mayonnaise, and soup base can also be found here. Finally, there is a great Japanese beer and sake section. Please Support💕🙏
