£ 55 million is ridiculous... They should have been compensated nothing less than a billion...
+Talib Jalloh What i was thinking... Thats the reason they won, they probably settled the case for that amount
Shell has made countless billions and so have lots of Generals.
Not them
The environment
shell has done all illegal things
Anyone seen Shell's green advertising?

La naturaleza volverá a su cauce y quizás un día se vuela a pescar en Bodo!
im Nigerian, but i didn't even know that this is going on
what happen to the $77 million they receive from the shell company? who squandered it.
they built houses the video just explained
Lol, $77 million is nothing for the damages.
Ask yourself who gets the profit? It's not the ordinary people.
Behaviour of the villagers is very revealing.
Meaning,
They're one of the worst groups of people in Southern Nigeria
Am very sure the people of the community only got $5million or less. And sharing the money was a very stupid idea.
they got 77 million dollars
dude, do you think they have a choice? ...
Hello
So y’all didn’t censor the baby ?
stop deforestation
Only 50k views nobody talking abt this... :/
55 mils? I bet they want shell back asap so they can sue again in a few years
no they dont because 55 million only translates to around 20 million pounds and the pollution that wont go away till over 30 years later has killed all their food sources and will cause all types of cancer, so in fact it wasnt enough and if you were in that situation im sure you would want much more, so please, stfu you uneducated idiot
The area made money from Shell for decades, made more money from the court victory and then proceeded to waste it and now have the audacity to complain?
When they had money their first response wasn't to improve their own environment, it was to build excessively large houses. That attitude is so pervasive in Africa.
77 million is nothing to fix the damages.
الله اكبر
I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS GUY SAID, BUT I AGREE. TO FOREIGN EYES, THIS MAKES MORE SENSE THAN U.K. DRILLING LAWS.
