One dish I really love to make and serve to my friends is a tagine..it's so wonderfully delicious and I am delighted this classic North African dish has won some new fans.
When I lived in Spain, we used to go to Tangier, Morocco often. I suppose couscous isn't easy to come by in your area, as this is what accompanies all tajines. I really love the mutton and goat tajine. Yours looked very tasty.
couscous never goes with tajine. it’s a dish by itself. Only foreigners think tajine gets mixed with couscous and I would call it mixing semoulina with tajine wich nobody ever does in morocco as it is eaten with bread and nothing else EVER.. 😁 so yep that was it, I was surprised reading your comment
How wonderful! I knew the moment that I saw the title of this video that they'd be thrilled - not only by the taste of the food, but about how it's prepared and served. It's fun watching the team learn about the culture and customs of other countries through their cuisine! I think it was a happy surprise for Abdul to learn about how Moroccans use such similar cooking vessels to those used in Pakistani or Indian dishes! In Morocco, the word "tajine" is not only the name for the style of food that's being cooked, but it's also the name of the earthenware pot that it's cooked in! Chicken Tajine is delicious and that lovely plate of Naan made me very hungry just looking at it! Naan is one of my very favorite types of bread in the world and I was imagining how delicious it would be with the Tajine! The chef did an awesome job! Peace and love to all of The Tribal Act team from The Adirondack Mountains of NY State, USA
That looks delicious! This is their kind of stuff! Looks so good I'll have to look up the recipe! They loved it! I was thinking, how about some good old country food for them to try? You could start with Fried Green Tomatoes with Ranch dressing to dip in, then move on to maybe some Chicken Fried Steak, then finish it off with some Sugar Cream Pie. That would be fun! Or how about typical American cookout food? Throw down on some BBQ Beef Short Ribs, Potatoe Salad, some Grilled Green Beans, Cole Slaw, and some grilled Pineapple slices coated in brown sugar so they caramelize and then throw a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top! Good stuff!

With all due respect ,this isn't a Tajine by any mean , you simply can't call it like that if you don't serve it in its appropriate earthenware pot in which it has been cooked ,the pot itself is called tajine , a chicken tajine dish is cooked with vegetables mainly potatoes zucchini carrots and olives we don't use spoons to eat it , ever what you served to these men is an aberration ,even worse than putting pineapple on pizza , the funny thing is they still liked it , now imagine their reaction to an authentic tajine with full ingredients cheers
