Not going to lie, this guy makes me suuuper uncomfortable. As someone who dealt with manipulation as a kid I can sense this stuff a million miles a way, and the way he just ... Suggests things that go against the MCs boundaries as a grown adult. Like going to a coffee shop far away without telling them and just expecting them to accept it after the fact, belittling her job(she doesn't like it, but earning money is important to people so he should respect her need to work), asking her to just skip work(again, belittling her efforts to live on her own and support herself). He acts first, then asks for consent later and the fact that the MC is just so desensitized to it breaks my heart lol
ah you know what, I think you're right. I didn't see Friend as manipulative aside from a bit too clingy but he does go over things that are important to the MC, but with the things you pointed out it does seem that way.
Especially when he convinces them to just skip work, THAT would be a huge no no for me personally. I figured it's because they have been good friends for a long time that the MC lets it slide but also, I'm sure there's a camera in those gifts he's given. That's really good that you can identify those types of things, stay safe!
@@EspoirDuVide manipulators always go for the little boundaries first. "it's just five minutes late, I will make you breakfast!" Because the more boundaries you let them cross the less likely you are to notice when five minutes turns into " you said you hated that job anyway, so just quit and stay with me! I will take care of both of us!" And finally: " I did everything to help you leave your crappy job. So you owe me."
You can kinda see that behavior here, with how he doesn't disrespect her boss or her job but instead belittles her need to work, to follow rules she herself is fine with, ect.

Yay part 2! Altho after watching your gameplay of part 1, I decided I couldn't wait any longer and played the game immediately, totally the best Saturday night I had. The game had so much to do it was so fun to just keep repeating and get flustered over Friend's smooooth lines.
As always, your video made it a thousand times better 😁 now I'm curious if there would be more of this game? Because as scared as I am, I wanna see the route where you end up in that dark alley at the beginning.
Also, a fun thing I discovered, if you don't input a name at the start, the default name of player becomes "Sweetheart" which is just super adorbs.
