I don’t know if it’s helpful. But you can also adjust the brush stroke properties in brush settings to make the line smooth. Just set the StreamLine setting to around 90%.
Hey man just discovered you - wow your channel is amazing everything I need in one place and your work style, voice and presentation is just all perfect! I bought my iPad pro today after years of putting it off thanks to you. Please keep the content coming!
it's hard to see without having your explanations in mind... I just realized these tiny details which make the difference and I'm sure they are even more obvious when you color the drawings. Thanks for this video and looking forward to your upcoming content for procreate !
Super thank you, but this was much straight to the point, well explained...i thought the brush you use was free , seems all the links goes to your links...which are not free...can you please let us know the link for that single brush pleeease....
Does anyone know if it's possible to change line weight AFTER the line is drawn? can you edit the layer somehow or do you just have to re-draw with a thicker weight chosen?
The video content is great but that opening music nearly killed my headphones. The volume difference between the speaking and those high whistle pitches in the jingle was extreme.
What do you mean with "the taper at the end"? I'm Dutch and can't seem to find a correct translation for 'taper'. It seems important to know, in order to understand when to end a line with a thick or thin line. atm i'm a bit lost
I use MediBang Paint Pro but this Procreate is far better to create a better smooth curvature than MediBang. Unfortunately I use a PC for my Gaomon tablet and I hate Apple products which Procreate only works on. They need to make a PC version of Procreate.
This was a brush that someone posted in the Procreate forums that got removed (not one that comes with the app.) I ended up making a brush that I like even more than that one which is part of my brush pack and linked in the description.
Hey that line breakage happens because of the weathered tip because of friction between tip and the surface of ipad.... try changing tips every six months..... that issue will be solved
I must be trippin'...the one on the right looks better to me, especially around the eyes. The lines look sharper and more defined. Maybe the thickness...
Merch Guy The links are for the forum post where I originally found it....you can download it from the original thread there. Didn’t want to link actual brush itself since I wasn’t sure if that broke any Procreate forum rules, lol! You can also find the post by searching “Procreate Penny Arcade brush.” Let me know if this helps!
If you don't have an Apple Pencil, I would hold off on getting any brushes...the Pencil is the key to make them work like they do in the videos. You won't see the benefits from using your finger.
DoraeArtDreams-Aspy If you’re aiming to pursue a Procreate hobby, I would opt for the 2019 iPad, it’s $329 for 32GB, and $429 for 128GB, with a 10.5” screen. It supports the first generation Apple Pencil. Just something to look for!
I'm seeing this late, I'm sure someone has already mentioned it... The gap in the stroke has typically occurred for me when the tip on the apple pencil is a bit loose. Simply re-tightening it has proven helpful.
@@BeeJayDeL Any chance I could send you a character drawing or two for you to critique the shading? I feel my stuff is somewhat generic when it comes to depth.
If you are interested in the procreate file of the below link, let me know. I'd be honored to get your take on some better shading: www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/6637641-gremlin-tricycle-rad-edition?store_id=23755
I almost had a hearth attack with that intro sound
Sorry about that!!! Hope your fireplace is ok!
Way loud haha
LOL. I turn the sound down each time I watch his videos, now!

Yeah, I discuss this in some of my videos. I only tend to use that when it's a large, sweeping line that curves multiple times.

Thanks so much for the feedback-much appreciated! Enjoy the new iPad...make sure you show off some of your work over in the FB group!

VeganDuelist Thanks! Glad you are getting something from the videos!!!
thanks! those lines you said i don't know what's happening, its maybe the battery, NOOO you hand was also touching the screen, that's why?
Awesome, hadn't realized how important line weight was until I saw the two side by side. Thanks from a noob :)
AMAZING work dude! what's the brush settings?
I have a link in the description for my brushes...all settings are ready to go!

I know many people have said this but, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I really needed this tutorial this is quite helpful!

Love your videos. Exactly what I'm looking for.
Kyle Davidson Right on! Thanks Kyle!
The finger/line-weight circle tip is a game changer. Thank you for this!

Which one in the link has the natural inker brush?

In the intro you look like Eminem...

Hello! Awesome video. Do you go over your pen settings for inking on any of your videos?
I almost had a hearth attack with that intro sound
bought the brush from you for line work just now. Thank you. Great information. Now time to go use it.
Where's the Link to the Natural Inker Brush?
Great videos! I was just needing this.
Thanks so much! Appreciate you watching!!!!
Under what category do I find the natural inker? I can’t find it no where in resources.
This was a brush that someone posted in the Procreate forums that got removed (not one that comes with the app.) I ended up making a brush that I like even more than that one which is part of my brush pack and linked in the description.
@@BeeJayDeL i supposed that too. What's the name of the brush in your pack? Thanks in advance!
You’re a real jewel mate. I hope we get to talk soon
I have such a shaky hand that I can never get my lines smooth
The best inking tutorial ever! I love the detailed explanations! Thank you!
Very helpful video. I don't use apple but found this still helpful for my tab s7. Thanks!!!
*sad because I have a regular ipad and no apple pencil *
Brilliant. Thank you! On another note, seriously therapeutic to watch and listen to this, never mind the learning aspect!
Thanks so much!
That’s amazing
Very helpful!
where can i get the brush you used

Ahh, I was looking for that edit shape thing, it was right at the top all along :P
Hey im new to this thanks also what case do you have for your ipad ? I have the ipad pro 11 2021 editon
Niceeee thanks for this video, now I’m buying these brushes 🤩🤩
Hey man you always say that you put a link to the natural inker brush but I can never seem to find other than your brush packs.
Love your style. I need the Natural Inker brush. None of the links provided take me directly to it. Any suggestions? Keep up the great content.

@@BeeJayDeL Got it! Thanks
Damn this was really soothing and reassuring. I was just gonna scrub through but I found myself watching the whole video lol
Any tips for lefties that use procreate?
Wait so is the brush you’re using in procreate when you buy it? Or it’s like a separate thing? I can’t find any with the name you said
AMAZING work dude! what's the brush settings?
Hey buddy where can I download the natural inker ??
Just need to keep training. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for these tutorials, I am learning a lot with these. (Your FB group rocks)
Linda Archinal Thanks Linda...I appreciate the feedback! Love that you joined the group!!!
I literally paused the video to buy a brush pack lol
What brush from the pack did you use on this
@11:50 used to me a lot until i changed my apple pencil tip
👍👍👍
Hey man love the work! What document size do you usually use?
Thanks! I usually use 4500x5400 at 300DPI
Great video, thank you
Also, do you have any drawing worksheets like these for people to practice on?
You're really good. I hope I can get this good one day. Thanks for the brush also. I really like it.
Thx bro
Nice!
Thanks!
Love your videos! How did you erase the lines and try again by just tapping your finger?
Thanks so much! The double finger tap is just a shortcut for erasing in Procreate.
GREAT INFO AS USUAL!😄⭐
Damn your lines are gangster sir. Relaxing to watch a master!!
I use my fingers to draw

Yeah..
People do like my art without an apple pencil
I heard it doesn’t work for an ipad Air 2

I can draw just well with my fingers for now :)
& the break in the line sometimes comes from the tip being loose on the apple pencil.

When I download the brush it’s not there..what do I do?
Never mind..I got it!
@@sherrieeichelberger Sweet!!!

Yup...that is the culprit sometimes...other times it seems random when that's not the case.
