If you ask me Graybeard is better than Gnarlhorn for a few reasons. 1) He is farm-able thru campaign, so you can fully book him. 2) He does a aoe attack which can freeze and can place a counter attack on himself as well which can make him tank well if you put him with a large amount of defense and low hp. 3) He he has a 30% increase in defense in dungeons. 4) His shields and counter attack on his A3 can't be removed which means that nullifiers won't do much against him in other areas.
I pair Scyl and MM in Spider...pretty much anywhere actually. Scyl in a stun set, stack accuracy on both, and the constant cc on the spiderlings makes it a cakewalk.
If you have the gear i recommend throwing you frost set on Gnarlhorn - basically first they get provoked and after attacking him they face the risk of freezing.

My first Spider 20 team was Lyssandra, Tyrant Ixlimor, Aina, 2x Coldhearts for 1 minute runs. Now I have a double Septimus, Prince Kymar team for 30 second runs.
I'm running Venus, Coldheart, Septimus, Miscreated, and Royal Guard for 30-40 sec runs. I replace Miscreated with a Coldheart and manual it at 22 seconds. Better gear or if the Coldhearts would use heart seeker first round it would be even better on auto. I have a dupe Septimus I might finish to try out. Maybe 2x Septimus for a 3 shot?
I was surprised by the current spider tournament where you can only use uncommon champs. I had never seen a tournament done like this before (been playing about 280 days) so never kept uncommon champs, used them and commons for food only. So when this tournament began I had to act quickly to put together an uncommon team. I knew none had HP burn which to me is a great way to kill the spider, so I went for aoe hitters, especially aoe on the A1. there's basically 2 out there: Zephyr Sniper and Saurus. There's also a few with an aoe on their A2 so I kept a lookout for those too. I pulled around 200 mystery shards to try and get my champs & ended up with 2 Saurus, an Archer, a Warchanter, and an Outlander. then I went about leveling, ascending, and gearing them. got them all to about 4 star level 35 then started running the highest Spider I could and live which sadly was only about stage 5. It's tough to beat that thing with champs that just can't do much.
Semi-related question. What determines if a "Decreases turn meter" skill is based on the entire bar or based on the current filled portion, because Armiger is based on the entire bar and can drop them to zero, and you said Elfguard is based on the filled bit, which means it couldn't drop the meter to zero. Another example I know of is turn meter stealing champs like Tuhak, who will steal 50% of the current turn meter, and 100% when his hp is low enough. But at least he states that he steals the turn meter so you'd expect it to be based on whats filled
As a potential resolution for the book issue, what if they removed the random aspect and just let you place the book in the skill you desire? Books are still hard to come by but the randomness is another factor that could be eliminated. It’s not perfect but thoughts?
soulbond is so good. I use her for a lot of areas including the scarab king with destroy gear (since I don't have coldheart after 8 months into the game lol).
I know content creators say certain abilities don't need books, but you literally can't pick which skills you want to spend your books on. It's a roll of the dice when booking champions. Unless you know of some secret way to book a particular skill 100% everytime.
Soulbond on auto in spider will basically never use her a2 and a3. I suppose she can still take care of the spiderlings if she's in a stun set, but if you want to use her for tm control, you'll have to manual. Which makes her much worse at spider than she should be.
Shout out to Kantra the Cyclone as (one of) the best Spiderling tanks in the game. I know she's legendary but since she was a Fusion, that makes her noteworthy.
I'm FTP on day 24. I tried to participate in the last Fire Knight's Castle tournament a few days ago, but I did horribly, taking several minutes for each of the first couple stages, so I gave up and went back to farming Spider's Den and Dragon's Lair. Obviously, I don't have a clue on what strategies to use for Fire Knight's Castle, so a video on it would be timely considering a new Fire Knight's Castle tournament is starting now (with extra odds to get stun gear -- something I don't have yet).
I don't have any of those 5 epics. To auto 20 for Arbiter I had to use Tayrel, Lightsworn, Scyl, Kaiden, and Drexthar. The idea of the team was to keep Drexthar up and getting burns off as much as possible. Having an MM, Psylar, UG, Stag Knight, or Achak would have been nice though

I've just pulled Stag Knight and after putting him instead of Tayrel - it's now 100% success rate without clicking on the spider. The math is simple - Tayrel does 50% TM decrease every 4 turns, equals 12.5% per turn. Stag knight's debuff equals 30% TM decrease per turn.
@@diaboliquedia4300 I know it doesn't work as a direct TM decrease. It's a dumbed down comparison, but generally 30% decrease speed means Spider's TM fills 30% slower for the rest of the fight. Which is a 43% increase in amount of ticks it'll take Spider to take a turn. And that gives your team enough room to do their job. Much better than 50% TM decrease every 4th turn.
I pulled an Ultimate Galek last week and was really excited. As a f2p/lowspender I try to maximize how much each of my champs can do, but there were some big holes in my lineup. UG filled that hp burn sized hole in my lineup exceptionall well. Now I need a better shield champ and I'm pretty set. I have a Zelotah, but he's a bit underwhelming. Currently, for the nether spider, using Vergumkaar in a shield set since he is a hard counter to the provokes put out when non shield champs hit him. I struggled until I pulled vergumkaar and slotted him into the lineup. I've been debating a vergis too. All that to say that there are so many champ options that it is almost overwhelming. I'd love to see you make a list of the most versatile champs that offer great value for our hard fought upgrade order. Consider how long it takes to get 5xrank 5 chickens for someone who isn't buying them when you do that. Someone that you're going to spend those resources on had better give you max benefit in many places. I'd love to see a vergumkaar review from you. He seems pretty ignored for a situationally useful champ.

Having 2 Armiger is actualy not a bad idea. If the turn meter is low enough he will use is Lay to Rest on auto and put out some ridiculous damage numbers!

My spider 20 team with literally 20% win rate at auto: Black Knight(w/ 300 resist), Apothecary lead, Scyl of the drakes, Ultimate Galek(lvl 50) and Spirithost (lvl 50) in terms of speed its A>BK>SH>SotD>UG
Budget spider 20 team: Bloodfeather (lead), Paragon, Arimger x3 or some combination of Armiger/Coldheart. Run Bloodfeather at 151 spd in the lead. Paragon in second spot at 151 spd. You can run all 3 Armigers at 50 but they need to be very fast and full crit chance, obviously. Bloodfeather should have as few HPs as possible. Keep her around lvl 40. Paragon can be any level but needs a lot more HPs than Bloodfeather so that she will tank. Make sure she has 200'ish ACC and she will reduce spd and def on the spider. It will take between 3-6 min to kill spider 20 with a set up like this, depending on your champs' level and gear quality.
Maxed Soulbond needing a spirit for spider auto. She doesn't use her a3 she only uses her a1. Arminger will only use a2 when the spider has very low turn meter. Plan was to get Soulbond a little faster than arminger but she won't a3. Will Palarium fix this?

MM took me through all of spiders I've had him long time ..then I got tyrant with spider , 2 coldhearts and frozen banshee my spider team is 24 seconds ...and everyone but tyrant dies haha but its 100% never failed
I got my arbiter thanks to achak the wendarin and the crazy part is that he was only at lv 40 and not booked 😎 got pretty lucky to pass lv 19 spider and lv 20 was easily.

they're both great epics, but for my team, Tayrel is better than Stag Knight in spider. he's positive affinity, has a defense aura, decrease attack and turn meter for the main spider. I have Psylar placing decrease speed, don't need another champion with the same debuff. on my account, stag knight is better for Fire Knight's and doom tower, Tayrel is better for the rest.
Is there a reason that Dhukk isn't considered top tier for this? I know he has reduce ATK/DEF down AOE. I have been running Armiger, Dhukk & Armina as the first 3 names on the team sheet but am getting stuck now. I usually throw Tayrel and Elhain in as they're levelled up but I can't stop the Spiderlings eating Armiger for breakfast as he's weak affinity. Should I replace someone with Zephyr Sniper in Res/Def gear to tank?

When you talk about accuracy for these dungeons being x10 the dungeon level, is this assuming the support/accuracy mastery tree is in use or no? Let’s assume I can easily have 200-220 accuracy, is it more beneficial for me to just take the defence/CA tree?
I am still stuck on spider 19, I do at least one manual run every day, and got close a few times however all of my best spider champions are magic, Scyl, mistreated, U. Galek, apothecary and tyrel. It hurts when You to have to build a champion just for one level because of the affinity and then not use it again, however I got 2 cold heat built and pulled a Psyler over Xmas maybe she is the answer
Just build your Scyl with low hp, high defense, 250 resistance and 220 accuracy. You have all you need to complete the dungeon there. Scyl, Apothecary, Coldheart, Tayrel and MM can finish the job in under 5 minutes. You'll need to swap Scyl for a red tank in stage 20, though.
@@stefanoconrotto9998Yeah, Scyl or Tayrel. Tayrel probably better, though, don't know, who has higher DEF. He'll be tanking, while Scyl will be reviving, and can be build to be faster.
I was waiting on her for months, then during this weekend's void shard x 2, I was going to save all my shards for the new dwarf fusion, but decided to use 15 out of the 40 I had saved and got 4 Coldhearts, 2 skullcrowns, Oboro and Fanatic, plus 3 more epics that should be legendary's.
I am so tired of not pulling a variety of champs. It seems like as soon as I pull 1 good one (for instance Stag Knight) my next 3 Epics will be the same guy. And I have only pulled rare Champs in my last 12 blue shard openings. And if I'm counting Void Shards, I have only pulled rare Champs in my last 22 Shard openings. What the hell is that about???
Pulled a bunch of CH's with my void shards, could I use 4 coldhearts with rhazin? Also HH mentions having accuracy and hp but if I'm using 4 CH's could I just build them with offense rather than hp, accuracy etc. to nuke the spider manually?
I use a Fayne at 50 a royal guard and 3 coldhearts. Have to do it manually but it's only 16 seconds. So yes, it will work but Rhazin can weak hit and not land the debuff.

@@johnsolis7425 probably not, it sounds like you have the debuff bar pretty full already and her poisons would be fighting for room to land. Rhazin is a pretty good raw damage dealer.

@@johnsolis7425 I'm pretty sure i already know the answer, but figured i should ask. Do you by any chance have a Painkeeper and perhaps a Seeker? If so, with 2 Maneaters they form the best UK team in the game right now. Also my suggestion is to not use more than 2 poisoners, even two is probably a tight fit. Buffers, debuffers, buff extenders etc would probably work better for you
The only problem I have with recommending uncommons is that I can't decide whether I have other champions that would be better, or if I still need to build the uncommons because they are better suited for that specific role. Do I ever outgrow the need for these champions as a F2P player? Should I invest in them? I just never know.
There are a couple of those - armiger, provided you have the gear for him, can be used all the way to late late game. Bellower is another one that can be used all the way. But it all depends on what you get on your account
Can someone please tell me why the paragon cheese would suddenly stop working? I finally got it to work two days ago but it only worked for about 20 runs then spiders started attacking my other champs

Consider also that Dhukk requires to have 100% crit rate to be as good as Stag Knight in its aoe skill. Also, the Decrease speed from stag is just a huge debuff on spider fights that you cannot just drop out. But of course it depends on what other champions you have and the moment your account is at.
So let me ask you this.. I put 2 Ch, Venus for burns royal guard, and paragon and after a few times they hit him then they switch to my CH why’s that ?

HH miscreated monster don't need accuracy for the fear on his passive to work accuracy on mine is really low and it always activates
Budget spider 20 team: Bloodfeather (lead), Paragon, Arimger x3 or some combination of Armiger/Coldheart.
Run Bloodfeather at 151 spd in the lead. Paragon in second spot at 151 spd. You can run all 3 Armigers at 50 but they need to be very fast and full crit chance, obviously. Bloodfeather should have as few HPs as possible. Keep her around lvl 40. Paragon can be any level but needs a lot more HPs than Bloodfeather so that she will tank. Make sure she has 200'ish ACC and she will reduce spd and def on the spider. It will take between 3-6 min to kill spider 20 with a set up like this, depending on your champs' level and gear quality.
Maxed Soulbond needing a spirit for spider auto. She doesn't use her a3 she only uses her a1. Arminger will only use a2 when the spider has very low turn meter. Plan was to get Soulbond a little faster than arminger but she won't a3. Will Palarium fix this?

Its crit RATE that seems to boost the heals.
MM took me through all of spiders I've had him long time ..then I got tyrant with spider , 2 coldhearts and frozen banshee my spider team is 24 seconds ...and everyone but tyrant dies haha but its 100% never failed

I got my arbiter thanks to achak the wendarin and the crazy part is that he was only at lv 40 and not booked 😎 got pretty lucky to pass lv 19 spider and lv 20 was easily.

Hey HH, I will pretty much leave the same comment for the other content creators since you guys are our voice. Since Plarium doesn't seem to be responsive about fixing the silver issue, then why not suggest they add a silver booster just like we have that one that doubles XP gain?

they're both great epics, but for my team, Tayrel is better than Stag Knight in spider.
he's positive affinity, has a defense aura, decrease attack and turn meter for the main spider.
I have Psylar placing decrease speed, don't need another champion with the same debuff.
on my account, stag knight is better for Fire Knight's and doom tower, Tayrel is better for the rest.

Is there a reason that Dhukk isn't considered top tier for this? I know he has reduce ATK/DEF down AOE. I have been running Armiger, Dhukk & Armina as the first 3 names on the team sheet but am getting stuck now. I usually throw Tayrel and Elhain in as they're levelled up but I can't stop the Spiderlings eating Armiger for breakfast as he's weak affinity. Should I replace someone with Zephyr Sniper in Res/Def gear to tank?
Zephyr Sniper is she an option for lvl20 only or does it work on earlier stage? (considering affinity)

When you talk about accuracy for these dungeons being x10 the dungeon level, is this assuming the support/accuracy mastery tree is in use or no? Let’s assume I can easily have 200-220 accuracy, is it more beneficial for me to just take the defence/CA tree?

I am still stuck on spider 19, I do at least one manual run every day, and got close a few times however all of my best spider champions are magic, Scyl, mistreated, U. Galek, apothecary and tyrel. It hurts when You to have to build a champion just for one level because of the affinity and then not use it again, however I got 2 cold heat built and pulled a Psyler over Xmas maybe she is the answer
Just build your Scyl with low hp, high defense, 250 resistance and 220 accuracy. You have all you need to complete the dungeon there. Scyl, Apothecary, Coldheart, Tayrel and MM can finish the job in under 5 minutes. You'll need to swap Scyl for a red tank in stage 20, though.
@@stefanoconrotto9998Yeah, Scyl or Tayrel. Tayrel probably better, though, don't know, who has higher DEF. He'll be tanking, while Scyl will be reviving, and can be build to be faster.

I was waiting on her for months, then during this weekend's void shard x 2, I was going to save all my shards for the new dwarf fusion, but decided to use 15 out of the 40 I had saved and got 4 Coldhearts, 2 skullcrowns, Oboro and Fanatic, plus 3 more epics that should be legendary's.

I am so tired of not pulling a variety of champs. It seems like as soon as I pull 1 good one (for instance Stag Knight) my next 3 Epics will be the same guy. And I have only pulled rare Champs in my last 12 blue shard openings. And if I'm counting Void Shards, I have only pulled rare Champs in my last 22 Shard openings. What the hell is that about???

Pulled a bunch of CH's with my void shards, could I use 4 coldhearts with rhazin? Also HH mentions having accuracy and hp but if I'm using 4 CH's could I just build them with offense rather than hp, accuracy etc. to nuke the spider manually?
I use a Fayne at 50 a royal guard and 3 coldhearts. Have to do it manually but it's only 16 seconds. So yes, it will work but Rhazin can weak hit and not land the debuff.

@@johnsolis7425 probably not, it sounds like you have the debuff bar pretty full already and her poisons would be fighting for room to land. Rhazin is a pretty good raw damage dealer.

@@johnsolis7425 I'm pretty sure i already know the answer, but figured i should ask. Do you by any chance have a Painkeeper and perhaps a Seeker? If so, with 2 Maneaters they form the best UK team in the game right now. Also my suggestion is to not use more than 2 poisoners, even two is probably a tight fit. Buffers, debuffers, buff extenders etc would probably work better for you

The only problem I have with recommending uncommons is that I can't decide whether I have other champions that would be better, or if I still need to build the uncommons because they are better suited for that specific role. Do I ever outgrow the need for these champions as a F2P player? Should I invest in them? I just never know.
There are a couple of those - armiger, provided you have the gear for him, can be used all the way to late late game. Bellower is another one that can be used all the way. But it all depends on what you get on your account

Can someone please tell me why the paragon cheese would suddenly stop working? I finally got it to work two days ago but it only worked for about 20 runs then spiders started attacking my other champs

Slowing the spider down is one of the most important parts of getting it done reliably, stag knight does that nicely, Dhukk doesnt.

I've never been overly impressed with Stag
Consider also that Dhukk requires to have 100% crit rate to be as good as Stag Knight in its aoe skill. Also, the Decrease speed from stag is just a huge debuff on spider fights that you cannot just drop out. But of course it depends on what other champions you have and the moment your account is at.
