I’d love to see a review of the upcoming Gentle Giant Padme Amidala statue. I’m relatively new to collecting and I’m starting with the midrange figures ($150-200). Some of the older GG statues had underwhelming face sculpts and painting as someone else here mentioned. But others have mentioned their quality getting better recently. So I’d love to see an honest review and IRL pics and videos of an actual retail unit once it ships. I know a $200 figure can’t have the face sculpt quality of a $600 figure. I just hope it’s better than a $20 action figure.
Gentle Giant makes a 1:7 scale Farmboy Luke in the pose when he is staring at the twin suns on tatooine. It’s called Luke Dreamer. It’s about $125 on Amazon and it’s quite nice as well. Really considering picking up this Bo Katan. Just to hold me over until the Hot Toys one finally releases. 😬
There are Premier Collection statues for Rex and Ahsoka too that go well with this. Gentle Giant’s problem is that they can’t decide where to lean animated vs. lifelike sometimes and stuff can look off because of that. They are finally starting to make some really faithful animated busts for Clone Wars and Rebels now though, which is where most of my money has been going.
As beautiful as Katee Sackhoff is, I wish Hot Toys would start doing animated inspired head sculptures like this. At least for the characters that were animated when introduced. Myself gonna stick with the HT version. Looks good tho🤟🤟🤟
I ignored it thus far, but after this review I might pick one up. So far Gentle Giant only impressed with promo pics, but the final painted figures always looked meh for me.
I can’t wait for the Hot Toys 1/6 figure version to come out……..soon hopefully 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Ordered mine yesterday. Doesn’t look bad compared to 1/6. guess I won’t get the 1/6 hot toys version now.

There are some Gentle Giant pieces that are really nice, I have a big mini bust collection, I know that’s not your thing but it’s pretty cool too.
I was interested in the gentle giant mecha leg maul for a while, that looks awesome.
