Buy a boat lanes card for your graph and never go more than a boat width away from markers while on plane. I would say definitely idle around more than anything.
Man lucky you guys get to catch nice size bass... where I am in texas I can only catch catfish and on the rare occasions white bass too... I can't catch largemouth bass where I am

So when you snagged that bass. I think what happened was when you made a cast with that weightless bait, your buddy could've made a cast over you. He got the bite and set the hook. You felt like you had a bite because she ran with your buddys bait with yalls lines crossed, so it felt like you had a bite ( alot of the times you feel weight instead of a bite on a jerkbait/weightless jerkbait.) you leaned into the fish and there wasnt much wieght because it was his line and not the fish taking it. so when you tried to "catch up" with the fish after the hookset, and your bait ran into the fish and snagged it. all while your buddys bait is still in the fishes mouth. During the fight while shes got both of yalls hooks, his bait comes off ( possibly due to the two of yall pulling the fish in opposite ways and the hook tore out of her mouth ( theres a tear on the roof of her mouth in the back of her throat)). I really think thats what happened, because he did set the hook before you. Pretty insane!
