It is so awesome to see you again Ken! Haven't seen you in a while. Your videos had also inspired me to run last year and complete the Marine Corps Marathon. This year I've been kinda laying low but I need to get back into running again. Seeing your video is giving me energy again. Thanks!
Ken!!! I was hoping to run into you (no pun intended) at the 44th Running of the Marine Corps Marathon to tell you this in person. Your Back of the Pack MCM video was one of the motivations that helped me to train and complete my 1st Full Marathon. When I got to The Crystal City Gauntlet, I thought of "Pace? Who Cares" I smiled and laughed out loud. Your videos are inspirational to more people than you may think. Congratulations on your 5th Marine Corps Marathon. Well Done!
Irish Kevin hahaha I told the same thing to my husband!! I actually did run into Ken!! Our Uber past drove us and then cancelled on us so we decided to take the metro instead. On the way to the metro we ran into Ken and he was so awesome and of course we had to get a pic with him! I was looking forward to you posting this video! Thank you
Hi Ken, you look like you had a great time on your run - 5 MCM is pretty special. I loved your video last year with Teri. Did you guys not run together this year? You're a lovely couple.
Great job, great video Ken! That was my first MCM, totally miserable, i've never had to work so hard for a participation medal in my life. In retrospect, I think i was severely dehydrated after the race because the nonstop rain distracted me from hydrating enough. I normally pee 3 -4 times during a marathon, I don't recall peeing once.
What is your marathon training like? Do you follow any plans? I noticed last year you did the MCM and NYC marathons and those are nearly back-to-back! As someone who is signing up for numerous late fall lotteries for next year (and running the MCM definitely in 2020), what type of training do you do?
You actually did an ultra with the walking. I've run MCM 10 times. I got my fastest time (3:03) in rainy conditions. Congratulations to you!
Great job!! Congrats on the 5th!

Thanks for making these videos! Helped to get an understanding of what to expect when I do my first MCM this year. Will we see you at the MCM in 2022?
Congrats on joining the MCM runners club.
I just entered the lottery for the MCM for 2020! Hopefully will make it.
