Good lookin dog , nice gun and a pretty young bird keep it up man I've subscribed. I hunt grouse and mountain quail here on the northern coast of Oregon , very different than what your woods look like so not sure if any tips from me would be helpful.
Thanks, I hope your season goes great. Im not the greatest grouse hunter for sure. Im in Utah today but heading east to chase some sharpies and pheasant tomorrow then to hunt grouse and woodcock in the north woods. Ive never hunted mountain quail or valley quail but need to one day. Good luck
I love the the forest .. and trust me I’m no expert . Took me a long time to circle my dog on point .. I always love seeing dogs work .. my only suggestion is less walking video and more points and walking to the point . Hope you have great season .. watch some of mine and tell me what you the Arizona Quail Adventures
Thanks... Ive watch some of your stuff and enjoy it. Im not great at video editing and on this video I showed a lot of walking because I was hoping for some grouse tactics advice. Plus, the videos will serve as memories to watch when I'm even older. This video was about returning back to the area and finding the bird. The whole walking around the dog deal is debatable because running birds will just leak out the sides in my experience. Maybe not great to come up the side of a young dog but Gunner is an old pro but his first action of the year. He knew they were on the move. But I get your point. Good luck to you, maybe we'll meet one day out on the road.
@@uplandwild4136 Ah perfect then .. still like on the scenery . I’m not going to judge a guy and his dog your a team and you guys know how to work with each other . If I had any tactics in grouse I would give them to you .. I keep trying g to find a blue grouse over here and have yet to find one 😂 Hope to meet you someday good luck
