Very encouraging to see soccer develop and getting popular in India and that too in States like Jharkhand. India can make a very good team. I am originally from Fiji and the Indians back there have soccer in their heart. Cricket is hardly played but soccer and rugby are two major sports. This reminds me of my village where we used to have soccer tournaments (Bazaar) almost every Sunday. That time most players played with bare feet or bandages wrapped around the foot.
Football is a great sport for young boys to play. Teaches a lot of good values and sportsmanship. I was very impressed by how civil and decent all these young men are. When I was a boy (50 years ago!) we played at every opportunity, jumpers or coats for goalposts. Great days. It would be good to have the world cup in more African nations or the far east.
