I see Kripp never lost his habit of gloating by analyzing how strong the enemy he just beat is. I remember him doing that ~10 years ago in a heartstone video
Can't wait for the next patch. Maybe this build variety thing is actually gonna happen and not just the same 3 basic builds. It's insane how consistenly you can get the turtle shell astrolabe pearl combo, or some enchanted bs pyg
It feels like there’s no internal QA and we’re the play testers. They would have known charge loops would happen if they played like 1 game before patch day
For this too stop they need to remove Charge keyword. Or limit it to very few things and don’t make them universal. No adjacent items or aquatic items. TBH charge should be limited to ONLY utility items. And each character should have no more than one. Scaling triggers shouldn’t be based off a passive effect like the lizard is now. And ancillary activation triggers like old lizard shouldn’t exist. If you want build diversity you need too remove the things that can go infinite. Not make EVERYTHING go infinite because then the builds will become the ones that have the most consistent damage profile. Games trash right now.
@@LeviTheLandShark When It first launched close beta, I think It was the most fun and u could play with almost any item, but u are 100% correct now, the game didn't even launch and the power creep is insane. They should just reset everything and work on the different characters. I think they are making these changes just to retain current player base.
@ oh I know patch 1 though puffer was strong the game was good. In its current state we went from 3 charge non core items to what we now have of 20 items or more. Which are all items used in the 3 builds you can play past day 6 and no get stomped on. The game is in a solved format. It’s what happens in tcgs like yugioh and magic when something drastic doesn’t change such as a banlist or in the bazaars case, a drastic change in mechanics. I honestly believe the game would be much better with no items that charge more than 1 second like in the first two patches. And your build strength was chasing cooldown and levels. Levels are now easier but cds of any item without charge means nothing because charge exists.
I love the fight recap screen. 1 crit with 10 uses of 7% crit items is at around 52% probability. @15:20 @17:25 There was no 400 damage hit from a dog, there was a 100 damage hit from a yo-yo Kripp out here seeing ghosts
I wonder if their crazy meta imbalances are tests for season themes. Imagine season 1, “all items effects replaced with charge X” or “all items proc on haste” or something.
Yeah, charge loops are kind of out of hand. First Vanessa game I had today was double pearl, turtle shell. Was gonna just scale a crane from Dooley shop, but then got the Eye of Collosus destroy and item charge with adjacent usage. It was cool to be able to actually use it, but the loops being able to start instantly are just insane.
Selling Wanted Poster over the cove for space felt like a bad decision. Especially because that 200+ gold basically went to nothing super helpful in the long term and the 5(or more if upgraded) xp would have gotten you another level by the final day. I think an easy mistake to make in this game is worrying too much about economy, and ending the match with more money than you were able to spend, which should be considered a failure in opportunity cost.
56:10 that is not true. sniper was 3550 damage before spices and 39050 after. so its "only" x11 and not x20. 3550 * 11^4 =~ 52 MILLION would be the max on that build after all 4 spice uses
53:17 How do people even get these types of builds without knowing what they'll get like 3 days in advance? Absolutely every part synergizes, every enchant is perfect, what the hell.
Kripp's strenght is that he's never limiting his options and kinda keeps looking for whatever that might fit. I for example tend to get focused on one idea and probably scroll over at least 3-4 items that I could pivot into. What he got here is honestly one of a kind run, but it looked very fun. Not like it's going to become a standard like slapping some Bellevista with Companion Core and calling it a day.
Yesterday I bumped into a guy with an Iceberg build. Only reason I beat him is because I had a Diamond Radiant Boulder, with the skill that doubles damage of my Large weapons, and I managed to proc Boulder in about 3-4 seconds. (got a Diamond Star Chart, Haste Potion and a Diamond Black Pepper, and enough insect wings to lower Boulder's CD to about 8 seconds with the Star Chart, sooo yeah)
Disguise with enchants combines really well with Proboscis. I found an icy Disguise from pearls dig shop and was essentially able to give a diamond (already enchanted) heavy Proboscis an additional icy enchant. Got 9 wins easily, however lost to a golden thaw skill with looping bushel.
I tried the iceberg build with an extra 1s slow as pyg 4 days before this video came out and I got absolutely destroyed. for some reason all my opponents had thaw.
Just wanted to comment that the sniper rifle/spices combo isn't a times 20 thing, first spices use would be (with baseSniperDmg = 355): firstSpice = baseSniperDmg*10 + (baseSniperDmg*10)*10 = baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10) = 39050 and the 2nd spice use just repeats the pattern: secondSpice = baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10) + baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10)*10 = baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10)*(1+10) = baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10)^2 = 429550 so you're scaling it with a factor of 11 n times for n spice uses.
Haven’t felt motivation to play Bazaar for a little while now, don’t think I’ll log back on until we get more cards and heroes, making it harder to face the same forced builds. This is no hate on the game, just find the game to be very similar every run.
@@Hateful_Bug Cool setup, just a little too slow for this meta. This would only counter barrel or other shield builds, which fall off late game anyway.
Insane decision not to take righty tighty here. Just sell the damn switchblade. You already have giga scaling through crit and +damage when crit. Take the free infinite.
@zacharygrinner6528 It has been. But in a game like Bazaar, part of its gameplay loop has always been pushing the boundaries of builds. You'll inevitably see an infinite freeze build so long as the mechanic exists. And to be fair, it's more supposed to be a counter to things like iceberg or the Dooley freeze friend. Things that spam freeze at a short duration. But a lot of freeze skills and items got their duration cut down a bit this patch, so it seems more effective than it was before against longer freeze durations. It should probably be a gold/diamond only skill, shaving 1 or 2 seconds off of a freeze, respectively.
most of your early game builds are not very good, but you always get some random huge boost item towards the end. Tells me you only post the vids where you in fact get something like that. People should not be taking your advice at face value.
33:28 iceberg
36:27 online + slow enchant
43:30 gold chocolate
46:52 again

Items like brick buddy and barrel have two to three times the amount of scaling that they should. Same with lizard and a bunch of other items.
Brick buddy is great early but it falls off hard by around day 8
Bellelista is ridiculous too

Remember when Globe used to buff Freeze items each day? That plus this would be nuts lmao.
So much gold choco... Are you being held hostage? Blink twice if you are.

Should have used the wing on the neural toxin, to get closer to a loop with proboscis.

Hahaha is this still a thing? I remember there was an account with the name and it just posted timestamps.
i had just iceberg + bees the other day - demolished everyone

He really missed having Heavy Proboscis 😮
Yeah why on earth would you put that on iceberg

Imagine losing to a literally mosquito 😊
Just wanted to comment that the sniper rifle/spices combo isn't a times 20 thing, first spices use would be (with baseSniperDmg = 355):
firstSpice = baseSniperDmg*10 + (baseSniperDmg*10)*10
= baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10)
= 39050
and the 2nd spice use just repeats the pattern:
secondSpice = baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10) + baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10)*10
= baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10)*(1+10)
= baseSniperDmg*10*(1+10)^2
= 429550
so you're scaling it with a factor of 11 n times for n spice uses.
So it exponential
should that not happen just go off base
46:00 if you enchant lemonade stand with burn you can scale burn items insanely
Nevermind he covered it
More like “mosquito bite thingy” meta
Does Kripp just hate the holster for small items or what?
If he just took the haste on freeze skill his build was pretty strong even before the iceberg
Question: Does Diamond Heavy Proboscis become infinite on its own?
Yes but you're vulnerable to freeze. Radiant one + heavy silencer though...
Did he ever say why does he get the free chocolate bars when he's got 250 gold?

The 4th use of the spices would have put the sniper at 51,975,550.
Jesus. Good that it was a slow build with clamera for insta slow, otherwise it would get really bad real fast
@@Hateful_Bug Cool setup, just a little too slow for this meta. This would only counter barrel or other shield builds, which fall off late game anyway.
I need the bazaar to go to for free asap!
I don’t think iceberg is good this patch, I run into people with anti-freeze skills at least twice per run
Vanilla iceberg isn't, but an enchanted one is very very good
Talking shit about the Lemonade stand build while having something even more oppressive. Kripp hasn't heard about not throwing stones in glass houses.
Insane decision not to take righty tighty here. Just sell the damn switchblade. You already have giga scaling through crit and +damage when crit. Take the free infinite.
Huh. So... Always place iceberg I guess.
Ya really gotta change the way you do first fight. Its painful watching how slow it is and how you just do not talk during it.
how does sniper go from 3.5 k to 10x that?
edit: nvm he said it
The thaw skill should just be removed. A single skill wholly invalidates the primary counter to the most oppressive builds out there.
The most oppressive builds currently. But removing counters to certain mechanics can easily make those mechanics the new oppressive builds.
@I2dios8 If the mechanic is overpowered then it should still be tuned downed seperately. Having a skill that exists only as a counter is poor design.
@zacharygrinner6528 It has been. But in a game like Bazaar, part of its gameplay loop has always been pushing the boundaries of builds. You'll inevitably see an infinite freeze build so long as the mechanic exists.

Hearthstone when?
Considering the sad state hearthstone has been in starting a few years back, hopefully never.
I hope he never goes back. Unless its arena, like good olden times😂
