Beautiful. Would have liked to have heard a little more of it's sound. Interesting history. Guitars like this make me feel like going on a grand hunt through little obscure music and pawn shops to find that special gem!

You’d be shocked at what you would find. I love pawn shop hunting. For every guitar player that Jeep’s on pkaying beyond their teeny years, there are many who gave up, whose parents bought them pro gear they lost interest in.
Gruhn is such a gentleman. I had him appraise a couple guitars over the years. After dealing with so many guitars it was fun to see him excited over a rare find!

Loved how Gruhn commented on D'angelico getting all the profit from his guitars he made, whilst the dealers profited from the Gibsons they sold to musicians.
Nice ! do all 36-38 excels with straight f-hole have the X brace then? and i guess he must have gone back to parallele in 38-39 as gibson did

He is donating the money for causes . I know you know that. He said many years ago that he likes new guitars now. He just wants to touch as many he can before he passes off this earth.

and flat top a little too.... there ain't a guitar he hasn't seen and heard and prob sold at some point......that is unfair what he said
just put a tc tuner on it and see how far out of tune it is. at least 5 cents all up and down the neck. ec is deaf. tone deaf. this instrument is not musical because it won't play in tune. for a small fraction of effort this could play in tune. just compensate the bridge and compensate the nut and be in tune within one cent. unheard of in the old days, easy peasy now with a tuner. get hep, get in tune.

eric clapton has jazz guitars ? but he doent know how to play jazz lol ! sorry ! he never played jazz ever ? ok you can see him with arch top but he is not a jazz player !
nobody seems to notice that the lack of compensation in the bridge and nut equals out of tune? it plays out of tune. it is not a musical instrument if it won't play in tune.
