I love Jimi Jamison's voice. I just picked up the Cobra CD First Strike. I thought they were a great band and I love listening to their songs. Great guitars on the CD. Jimi had such a recognizable and unforgettable voice. Jimi is so missed and was magical. 😊
I do have the three Target CDs and love his singing with that band also. I am thrilled they are going to release a new "country" CD on his birthday, August 23. He can really sing any type of music.@@Stucifer
I am surprised he worked out with Survivor. Jimi came from harder rocking bands than Survivor. Turned out he had a sweet voice, but he was a growler @ heart.
Absolutely killer band but even Jimi had some challenges in maintaining that incredible voice. Steve Perry with a similar voice couldn't maintain his as well as Don Dokken whose voice is completely gone . The wicked rock and roll industry is unforgiving to singers having them on the road 24/7/365 to turn maximum profit while the singers' voice boxes are permanently scarred from overuse ruclips.net/video/h25qr4ZROPI/видео.html

I guess they got lost and they disbanded very soon also. I think that Jimi re-joined the band in the early 90s in order to sing in some concerts

Jimi and Jack have both passed away - there can never be a Cobra reunion.
I like Van Zant's version much better. Trying to imagine how it would've sounded if Uncle Ted would've gotten his hands on this one though!
