    I've been watching your videos since I started learning how to play a year and a half ago.. I used this lesson to do my cover. My dad is a musical genius who shows me a lot, but I can watch your videos all hours of the day, and that's pretty awesome. Anyway, thanks teacher.

    D chords are played with just the highest 4 strings, the open D, and then the 3 that your fingers are touching. Leave the lower 2 strings (E and A) unplayed. A chords are similar as well, where you play from the A string down and leave the E unplayed

    The guitar is like the piano cut into pieces and hung on strings. A booklet or chord guide won't tell you every possible way to play a chord, but most likely the most basic or common way. He played exactly like Zac Farro, hands down. Love this vid! "I knew you could do it" :D

    heehee, that rymed....

  • @SomedaySam
    @SomedaySam 12 лет назад +1

    Actually, you need to tune the little E string to E flat. When you play the Bmaj barre chord, dont barre the B and little E string, let all strings ring through. With the remaining 2 chords you will just leave the little E string (which is now an E flat) to ring open. Hope that helps.

    Thank you so much! I tried to play this song with B F#m and E but I guess I'm just such a beginner and did terrible... Thank you for teaching beginners like me with capo!!

  • @irishcorndog18
    @irishcorndog18 14 лет назад

    @xnikkiblondiex it depends on the chord, but on a d minor, no, you don't play all the strings. leave out the low E and you should be good. technically, the A string should be left out because that changes the base note, but it still sounds fine.
