Hey, that’s awesome to hear! Money is definitely a big factor and the experience is something to remember. Thank you so much for the support 😄, I appreciate it! I hope all is well with you!
my dad works at college of dupage Illinois, as the dean of enrollment. I’m not sure if there is multiple COD’s but my dad works at one or the only one. Nice vlog btw!
That is awesome! So great to hear! Yes, I am pretty sure that College of DuPage (COD) is the only one. Thanks for commenting and watching!! I really appreciate it!
I'm a senior at metea and I'm applying for cod and I'm a little nervous because I've always struggled with mental health and keeping up with all the work so I hope going into cod helps me a little😭
Hi Tatiana! Thank you for you comment! I do apologize for the late response. But I hope you are doing okay. Do you have any questions leading up of going to COD that may help? You would be going this coming fall correct?
I am about to go to college of dupage and honestly I don't know what to expect What are some things that you learned to cope with or some new students need to know before they go to this college
Hey Parzival, thanks for commenting and the questions! Overall, the experience at College of DuPage will be different for everyone. Depending on how many friends you already know or how many you'll meet. The hardest thing for me was going into a new environment and away from friends. But that didn't stop me from continuing to try out things. My first semester was rough going to school, completing classes, then coming home. It felt repetitious and isolating. I realized within my second semester, I needed to change, which is why I did a Field Study (which is essentially like study abroad but more domestic. It is "The Bike Trip" video on my channel). That opened me up to new people. Then I joined another club for the Honors Program. This summer, I was a leader in New Student Orientation. Did you happen to go to that? I was heavily involved in extracurricular activities in high school so finding something in college was important. It didn't seem important at first, but once I realized how hard it was without doing them, I joined things at COD. And yeah, just reaching out to your counselor with any questions about your degree or classes. It is also good to walk the campus and get a feel for it :) But I do hope this helps and once again, thanks for asking! If you have any other questions, just let me know. I am wishing you the best of luck this semester! And hey, if you see me around at school, don't be afraid to say hi! - Chris
@@ChrisKovich I am willing to be part of other activities, like how you mentioned the bike trip you took. I even watched your vid on that yesterday and I had that in my mind from long before of doing as it seemed really fun. Thanks alot for your response as this truly helped me I will try my best to keep in touch with my counselor and do extra Circular activities like you recommended
@@ChrisKovich I had another question Do you think a student would be affected if they start their courses a few weeks after the starting date for college
Not too much, there would definitely be a good amount of make up work depending on your classes. And you can even ask your counselor or professor if you can work on assignments on your own before you come to class. Yeah, I think the best thing to do would be to ask your counselor or professor about that, they will know best. But depending on your situation, it should be okay.
College of DuPage is tough but im glad I did it, saved a crazy amount of money and made me a stronger person overall. You got this king

And of course, I'm happy I could help even a little bit!
Yes, sounds good, that is awesome.
