Yes, Nico running out on the last play last week was HORRIBLE, but despite that play he’s done good for only starting 6 games total. It’s not really play calling that’s the problem He is calling the plays that he thinks we have a chance of executing The problem is we were not able to run our plays because of penalties and not being able to pass protect .
Dylan Sampson had 140 yds. Running wasnt the issue. Its that we did not play call the pass enough and Nico could not throw with accuracy. Also where is the tempo? Has Josh forgotten who he is?
Honestly I think they (including coaches) messed around on the bye week thinking they are all that. Hopefully they were humbled in Fayetteville and will get back to playing hi caliber football!
You call what the defense gives you. Y’all think too much of Nico, he’s young and not even in the heisman convo. Leaving the pocket too early, holding the ball too long and not trusting the receivers.

I believe Heupel's offense is complex and may take year 2 to fully execute as Hendon Hooker did in 2022.... Hooker didn't star in Heupel offense til year 2..

All of this is fixed with Nico's legs. If we add that wrinkle to the offense it'll open up a ton of opportunities.
