My goal is to comment on every amazing Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers video on RUclips. My favorite artist of all time. My youth and high school was in the 70’s golden era. Blessed to have seen him twice-1981 at Red Rocks and then on his final tour in 2017. Best songwriter of all classic rockers. Surround by the hardest working amazing band of musicians. Gone too soon!
I went to the one at the Forum and it was no joke the best concert of my life! Tom has been my childhood sound track to to finally see him after all these years was pure ecstasy! When he played "I Wont Back Down" I broke out into tears!
Thank you for showing this concert. The audio is better than most private downloads. I know I can always listen to his CDs but it is a treat to actually TP&HB live.
I haven’t been able to listen to Tom’s music for awhile without turning into a blathering teenager. Thank you for posting the last concert I saw my hero live. I was the one singing, not talking lol
It is amazing that he can still belt out Refugee. the sound of his voice has changed somewhat over the years, but he can still sing in the same key with a lot of power when he needs to.
Wow! A woman in love (live). I live 20 minutes from that venue and have seen him from Camden to Hershey a few times and never heard him play that song !! However I really dislike the ballroom version of Rebels. It's so much better like it was from the live album. ..Great Post, not sure how I missed this show! Thank you for giving it to us!
...thar must have been magical all these years bsck in time...I never got to see him in the Netherlands..but talked to a guy in my beershop just the other day...he had seen Tom and his Heartbreakers once in our little country..so nice to talk to this man..I was buying some stuff and a girl bying something for her dad said to me..." my dad is the best guitarplayer in the world.." So cute..so I said... " wow..thát must be great fun with your daddy into music too like I am.." He's downstairs she said, so you can meet him...I felt truely blessed having a talk with a man who had seen Tom and his Heartbreakers LIVE in our tiny Netherlands 😎😍🤗😇😊
Hey mate, just happened to be watching.69 yr. old musician from Camden and my niece lives in Allentown.Have been a great fan of TP+HBs from Gainsville to to Tom"s journey to heaven. Peace, Rocky
TP has now been recognized with his band, which he has and does work very hard as its manager to keep together or even change members, but the latter rarely, as totally awesome. I must add he and his Breakers give some of the best live stuff of anyone. My fav is "The Waiting", but I love 99.9% of his work. How many more songs does this genius man have in him? Truly he is a genius at putting together not-too-unusual chords, riffs and moves into a bottomless well of high-quality songs (rock, pop, blues, pretty songs, on and on) thru four decades. I LOVE "The Waiting" personally, but I love almost all of the rest of his work. HE is, indeed, my BEATLES OF NOW. I am lucky, as his song "You Got Lucky" says ...why? I'm lucky because his boyhood home is 10 minutes away! And I was with him for a while back in '82. I'm a musician (keyboard, not Benmont keyboard, but keyboard!). So I go to his boyhood house .....you know the town...."Gatorville" ......., park, dig the vibes, and Thank Tom, Thank Tom, Thank Tom, for him moving my emotions in wonderful, joyful healing ways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TP AND BREAKERS ARE AMONG A SELECT FEW of the top bands ever!!! WE SALUTE THEM!!!!
sadly we won't get any new Tom songs ever again. But we always have his entire catalog to go back to. especially with rarer hits Like woman in love and southern accents and something good coming, which are some of my favorites
the1truebeliever Go fuck yourself you piece of shit, you are the exact type that ruins shows for others that is if your mommy lets you even go to shows. I saw TP and the HBs 16 times and once with Dylan . 🖕
❤very cool show at the time and good video of the band clear and the sound is good just wish the people would stop talking to each other and listen to the show
Tom Petty is one of my favorite artists of all time and the music recorded here is great. But his movements seem a bit slow, even compared to his bandmates - I wonder if he ever got off the junk once he was on it. In any case, he gave joy with his music and lived a full life - RIP the great Tom Petty.
He was addicted to Fentnyl because of fractures in both hips. He refused to have surgery because it would have disrupted tour dates. Old school work ethic. So.... he suffered quite a few years.... this was four years ago and it was getting worse. When he came back here to Gville in 2006 (? 2005) the difference in his stage presence was obvious, slower, and his dialogue wirh the audience seemed affected by drugs. I knew Tommy since high school, and it would have taken a lot for him to surrender to the type of addiction that killed him. He was no slouch, and his pain was that serious.
Tom petty better than the beatles. They broke up over ego,s. Not TOM PETTY AND THE HEART BREAKERS? they gave 40 years of true American rock n roll. The best band ever. And the music is better than the beatles too.
It's got to be a wig. Nobody of that age has a full head of hair. Ten years ago he was going bald! He'd look better without that awful hobo beard too. Makes him look like an archeological professor not a rock star.

So much talent on that stage. We saw him in March and it was nothing less than amazing.
He was fantastic
He is definitely missed throughout the musical industry and all his fans and family
He gave his life to please his fans
Thanks for posting! These guys are incredible, they just keep getting better with a little age!

I like his voice later.

Here comes my girl 💓is my favorite song out of all his great hits 👍
I shot the entire Chicago show from the front row using Sony. Great sound...minus 2 women charting all night long.

At this show front row for my home town. Seen him many times never thought he would have come to shitty Allentown
Thanks for filming this. Too bad the women next to you talked through nearly the whole concert. I'll never understand this
She would of got a full beer or large drink over her head if I was there.
@@thelastrebelshow1627 Just shut up would do surely. A bit harsh.

Typical ignorant snatch depicating at mouth.
Mentally complicated is the best way to understand what you do sometimes.
Géniale version de "so we want be a rock'n'roll star " des Byrds
Great song, RIP Tom Petty
Fabulous.
Tom es perfecto..!
❤
Okay this is nice
Good job😂🤣😆😅

Try again. This was uploaded in 2016...so how is it the 2017 tour? Yeah...thought so....
Es el mejor, su media es insuperable
Its funny how some people go to a fuckin rock concert to chat.
I kept hoping the "We love you Tom!" guy would punch the woman who wouldn't shut up, but no such luck.
Best rock band of all time

He is talking fine and considering his pain, moving just fine.
@@backupsinger8277 Really? Not obvious to me.
@@the1truebeliever Really? It seems pretty obvious Tom's in pain and not moving comfortably. He went down swingin'.

Yes...............No one at all understand what Result In Peace means? But that's the kind & RIGHT gesture
I thought the lyrics on one song said,: running down a drain, I was so wrong.
Hey this says 6 year's ago...............Well OBVIOUSLY it's 8 year's ago
Called them TP.&the HBs
Welcome Too Pennsylvania Tom Petty.
Did the truck not show up with the stage? That’s a hell-of-a-sheet for the back drop-
Why switch from the great video to the horrible video? Stop pulling back! Thanks!
Wow..........he died 3 years later!!!!!!!!! You can see that he probably was in pain here....................
He's dead, Kaystarkey02

You're worried about his hair?? WTF?
If you don't have nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all fool!
Nope, that's his real hair, but also with real hair dye.....
Leave Tom alone! He was a sweetheart.
