Tekki Shodan

Tekki Shodan is an important kata in the style of Shotokan karate. Here is a demo of the kata done at the usual speed. Please refer also to the slow version and the commentary videos also found on this channel.

Mizu no nagare posture is in Heian Godan not in Tekki Shodan. The move that looks similar in Tekki Shodan is kagi-zuki with an "i" not an "e" (see your other comment). "Kage" means shadow. A general lack of kime throughout the performance of this kata. Heisoku dachi is too high; there should be a bigger stomping action after each fumikomi and more power on haishu uke; there isn't enough hip rotation in both nami ashi and morote yoko zuki (by the way: the shorter arm in both morote yoko zuki should remain at the edge of the body frame, not go beyond it).
