I had one of these in the 80's, great little unit. I used it to record my bands as it has a great built in condenser mic with some sort of compression or level setting circuit. Does the recording function work on this one?
@@CircuitQuest2023sir actually when my father was young he used it one day it’s adapter was not working so he gives it direct current by two wires with direct connection with electricity after that it didn’t worked but it’s red indicater still blinks

Yes it does work. I didn't show it in the video but I tested it. Not sure about the leveling circuit though.

I have this model but with the LCD clock and alarm and sleep functions. Was my Grandmothers.
do not use switching power supply on am radio it will mess up the tuner frequency. try tuning with batteries see if it will tune better

theres an idler wheel with tire that needs replacing its sliping probably now its underneath the capstan

Yes I think that he joined both wires and he didn’t used the adapter he directly gave current to the tape recorder with wires
