Thanks for another great episode. I never realized to you pointed out but the gfo I use is a very small grain like sand. I am going to be ordering some Rowa Phos.so far all the other polyplab products you recommended have been wonderful. I noticed a big difference in the carbon I purchased from polyplab and the other product I was using. I appreciate the example on how to tune the reactor for the gfo as I will be looking to set one up shortly and had understood it should tumble but wasn't clear to the terms as I am now witnessing it first hand. 👏👏👍
I ran rowaphos in my 28 gallon cube. This stuff rips p04 fast and for while. I think they were one of the first suppliers of gfo back in the day. I have been running an algae reactor but have made the decision to pull it offline and replace it with a rowa reactor again. Its much easier and consistent.
Hey I just purchased a phosban reactor 150. I've also purchased rowaphos but I was just wondering using rowaphos in reactor will it not rub up against each other and grind further? And release into ur tank and if it does what are the longterm effects from that happening
I put one teaspoon ROWA in a bag and I rinsed it in less than one gallon of water, it turned my water in the container BRICK red, I had to wash out that brute trash can 3 times to get it to clear, so I want to see him do that much in that bag,. 8:39
hello farm boy reef. I just set up my rowa and reactor. I ran the flow to high and got a little bit in my display tank. Is that bad? I'm going to syphon it out the best I can. thanks and great vids.
do you keep the reactor on even when your tank is recycling? I'm still doing research on starting up a tank myself. My understanding was during the nitrogen cycling process, we dont turn on skimmer, reactor etc. Can you advice on this, please? Great vid btw. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this video. I would never have thought to rinse it
why do people rinse the rowaphos is it says do not rinse on the instructions?
great vid FBR. Awesome step by step instruction with info.

Hi, how much do I use rowaphos for 50 gallon tank? Thanks
So I have a dumb question. I bought a reef octopus bio pellet reactor. Would this still work? Or any reactor will work?
can i hit my reactor to return pump as in fit between return pump and tank

Which reactor are you using? Can you post a link?
is there a alternative you could use as its very expensive when you dont have much money to spend, thanks.
There are always cheper alternatives to any product, you will end up using more to do the same job so the offset will be lost.
Does running the RowaPhos eliminate the need for a cheto refugium or algae-scrubber??
Nooo
Omg guys, looks good!
Love this stuff. Been using it and no more red algae.

Great informative video. Does Rowa Phos replace what we use to use back in the day, called Poly filter? Are you familiar with it?

I'm gonna try some of Rowa gfo.And give that one a try. I have to much algae. ..Oh And PS.. Watch your Alk.. The GFO tends to suck up the Alk.........
Definitely love the Rowa Phos! Highly recommended! Loved the reactor by the way!
do not rinse the rowaphos it says on the instructions
Always do less you want all that dust in your tank. Been doing it for 5 years.
If you read the instructions, it says to flush if you’re planning on fluidizing so, he’s doing it correctly
nice demo
