    Overfeeding is definitely the largest issue to high phosphates. Great content!

    Brilliant video that’s what I have low nitrate and high phosphate so I think I’m going to go down the reactor route with gfo

    Phosphate is high straight from the tap here, what should i do? the diatom/algae from it is making me lose my will to carry on.
    Also do the Phosphate pads work that you place in the filter?

      Do you run gfo? You may want to look into that, also get yourself a good RODI unit.

    Hi great video so have phosphate reading hanner at 0.03ppm and zero nitrates.
    Now question is how to raise nitrates to at least over 1ppm. Have 6 fish feed twice a day eith mainly frozen food. Dose by hand coral vitamins 20ml per month and redsea ab plus 8ml per every 2 weeks.

      So the ab+ I'm pretty sure is supposed to be dosed daily, also to answer your question, dirty up your water. It's as simple as turning off a skimmer, feeding more, adding more fish and so on. You can also dose nitrate and phosphate

      Yep maybe will add another fish and feed more. Not sure about dosing nitrates could be dangerous if I get it wrong.

      @@reeferexplained8846 yaaaa I've never done it so not something I could give any advise on

    I have 0 phosphate and 25ppm nitrate. what now?

    • @CandyCoralAquatics
      @CandyCoralAquatics  2 года назад

      Assess your feeding, cut back if you can, up water changes, make sure you're not overstocked with fish. Also add some all for reef or some other dosing for your corals, they will eat up that nitrate as they grow
