As someone who loves to fish 🎣, I don’t know how anyone can watch these videos and NOT subscribe to this channel! 🤔
Thank you!
Same
Im 70 now, you remind me of me when I was younger. I fished, shrimped, crabbed, all my life at the edge of the gulf and inside bays. great videos, I loved small drum and croaker to eat. Keep them coming, they are great content.
I live in Naples,FL and just recently found your site. I have thoroughly enjoyed your upbeat channel and your very savvy fishing abilities. I am a Florida native, lived in Naples since I was 6 whenMy parents moved to Naples. I have fished all my life (I’m 74) and like you, I love my snapper. I always look forward to your sign off of thanking the Lord for everything he’s done for us. That’s what drew me to your channel
I was just down in Naples not to long ago and got a 40 pound snook and a 100 pound tarpon
Thanks for serving the community and risking your life for us in the army
Thanks you for your service. Thank-you for talking me on an amazing fishing journey hopefully some day I'll have a boat and go fishing. Love fishing but no good luck. Really appreciate your channel
Us poor tourists go down there and pay for a dolphin cruise, and there you are have a blast catching a fish at every cast and dolphin watching for free! What a life! May the lord give you a lot of years and health to keep doing it!
Just go to the piers dolphins and sea turtles around all the time
Check out Caribe Marina.... captain Seth on the Outcast. Very very reasonable prices on charters.
@@nicksmith2194 are you talking fishing charter? if so that's good info, I said something about the dolphin charters but I myself never used them and have no interest in it, but a fishing charter at a good price is most certainly interesting!!
@@R0NE100 yes, fishing charter. They're the cheapest I've found on the Gulf coast..... until I retire and move to Foley, anyway. Lol
I have been subbed to you for a couple weeks and I can't stop watching your videos. Your the reason I got into fishing, and I love it thanks so much
Love to eat triggerfish... my vietnamese buddies Dad used to wrap them in foil whole. Guts n all! Throw em on a bbq pit. Then pull the foil off and skin off the fish. It cooks in its own juices.. pick the meat out and put it in a bowl. Then we grabbed those spring roll wrap things and dipped em in fish sauce to get em wet. Then fill it up with the smoked trigger fish and the veggies! Words fail to describe how fresh and good that was.
Hardtail cut bait has always been my favorite for bottom fishing. Easy to catch and very bloody. Catching the bait is half the fun.
I'm older as a boy I deck hand on a snapper boat out of Cameron LA. I liked salted mackerel cut bait. Salted Bonito cut bait was a close second choice.
Good Mornings Bama Saltwater, Here in Puerto Rico I use Squid, Sardine or Minnow or Frozen Shrimp with the shell on or ask in Deli section in Walmart for Fresh Shrimp or Catch Fresh Sardine with a net n start using them all n wait until get a bite
Respect for you for being in the army respect
Thank you for your service in the army
Tried your recipe with king mackerel tonight wrapped in bacon. It was amazing thank you for sharing it
“But you still go when you can”. Richard Gene says attaboy!
My favorite bait is live shrimp.
Great fishing! Would love to have been with you!!! Keep it up, Capt.
My target species is usually Rainbow Trout and my preferred baits are whatever the fish are biting. They’ll go after garlic scented powerbait, earthworms and bright red salmon eggs.
Best saltwater channel on RUclips keep it up 👍
thank you for your service
4/7 air defense artillery patriot Missile Unit 35 brigade 3rd Army div. Glad to hear a fellow vet.
Really appreciate how u give overview of your gear/rig and set up.
I remember the say I subscribed to you and you had like 24k subs and every day I see how much you have progressed I am so proud of you. God has blessed you in many way’s and He has many good plans for you. I love you so much
Much love from Fairhope!!
Thank you for your service sir. 14 year Navy vet here. 1986-2000.
Love when bama posts
Bud you have up’d your offshore game!!! Impressive.
Hey I’ve been watching u for prob almost a week, and I can’t stop watching u, keep up the good work😀👌
Appreciate ya! Glad I can share my experiences with you.
Great video. If you're looking for a hard fight on that big rod, put a small fish like a pinfish or a grunt on the hook for a Goliath Grouper. You know this.
Fun to watch your videos and see a type of fishing we don't have where I live (Ontario, Canada). We do have terrific freshwater fishing though, and I'll be happy when winter is over and we can get back out on the water.
1 Crawlers - catch all size fish, sometimes I use a huge piece tipped w a small piece of shrimp
2 frozen shrimp - Channel Catfish & Bowfin
3 live Bluegills for Flathead catfish
4 cut bait for bigger Channels & maybe a Flathead. Caught a Carp on a small piece of cut bait.
It's hard to beat some lively Night Crawlers
I hope that God uses your channel to spread His love
HOOAH!! I was a 13B, great videos my dude.
Such a great day when bama saltwater uploads thanks for being you we all love an respect you and your videos
I liked what you caught. To bad those trigger fish were out of season.
At least you got two manageable snapper. Enjoy the fish. Looking forward to your next video packed full of information!
Thank the good lord up above! I was over there the last couple days but didn't get to go fishing, we just went boat riding to pirates cove a couple times
I love using shrimp for drum croaker it pretty much catches anything in my creek love the vids
Favorite bait - live pin fish ALL DAY! Strawberry grouper buddy!
i didnt relize you served thank you for your service! also Awsome Video love watching them!
I love your videos and I also fish some of the same piers as you love it thanks for all you do
6:55 I like minnows in the summer because the hardheads and small croakers are out in full force that time of year and they normally won’t mess with the minnows…live shrimp in the colder months
Thanks for your service.
Did you miss the dolphin at 9:34, I think he was checking out the snapper you caught.
Thanks for your service!!
Dolphin tryna say hi @9:33
Awesome video great job captain love your vids
I’ve only ever surf fished, but shrimp and orange fishbites always works.
Let’s gooo so happy you uploaded , also I didn’t know you were in the army, respect
Wooo!
HUA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cigar minnows. 2nd choice great big (16 oz) Bucktail tipped with a squid strip.
My fishing in mid northern Alabama is still on the table all u need to bring is u LoL if not keep up the great content brother and I will always support ya
Texas gulf coast we use live bait mostly just because it’s readily available and we catch our own. Steven I have a bad hand and I only use left hand reel’s (spin cast mainly) to keep the weight on my right hand not left.
Hooah...from one Army Vet to another!
I'd suggest getting a neoprene wrist brace, it'll probably help you out a lot.
At 9:30 a casual dolphin breaking water
Favorite live bait is a croaker. Artificial is a butterfly jig on a Shimano Trevala rod, and Shimano Trinidad reel.
Great selections
Can never go wrong with a live shrimp
Favorite bait is a live worm for freshwater but for saltwater its a popper all the way
That dolphin at 9:34😂 thought it was a massive shark at first.
Fishbites are my favorite bait, just for pure convenience. Allows me to go fishing on a whim and have the bait to catch some nice fish
Video was worth the wait
For red snapper we use cut cigar minnows with a little skirt on it and it works like a charm.
Another enjoyable video son!!!!!!
Here we go again 🤣 ..... Music to my ears again hahaha well done 👍 that snapper looks delicious 😋 unfortunately there wasn't any bite with the BIG gears but another great video nevertheless.... Seriously good video's..... Keep up the great work 👍
Trigger is my absolutely favorite fish. They make the best fish tacos hands down.
Another great video. I still can't believe that you go out by yourself!! You defiantly got it down on a beautiful boat ,so keep doing you!!
I mostly fish at the ceader pier before you get on the dolphin island bridge and mostly catch grocers sometimes I catch other fish but I use for bait is squid, shimp
I love your videos! I have almost watched them all! Thank you for your service to our country and keep up the great videos!
Amazing, thank you for the support!
Looks like a fun day!
Fish on Hubbard's 39hour trips. Love my slow pitch jigging, as well as large dead baits for Gags.
I like soft plastics, specifically curly tail grubs and worms, live bait is nightcrawler and any cutbait, fresh or saltwater
New here and enjoying the show. Gey snappers are tasty indeed. Big fan of 20-24ft center consoles. You can get a bar and clamp that protects the rod from the rail. Tuna fishermen on the west coast use them to reduce fatigue on big fish in deep water.
I have had the most success with threadfin herring and Spanish sardines. Lovely water for a solo run bro.
Great video out in open water my favorite live bait is either sardines or mullet hooked over the dorsal with no weight, my favorite dead bait is squid and for cast spinning my favorite is rapala shallow 5 1/2" also I keep a fairly lg, spoon and white buck tail and with these always a fast retrieve
I got my first marlin Friday trolling. I’m so pumped to get back out there.
Sweet dude! Got that *blue water * fishing fever now haha
Being a landlocked fisherman, I mainly use artificial on the beach and inlet. Great video as always.
I wear a wrist brance on my left wrist. I was in the US Army also but not injured. Here in the Pacific NW, my wrist is tired from chopping firewood!
Hey man big fan of the videos. I’m moving to gulf shores in a few weeks and I’ve been watching your videos to get ready to fish the area. Hope to run into you on the pier or beach one day!
As a freshwater fisherman gizzard shad or minnows are the cut bait of choice for me
I like using frozen dead shrimp and then whiting.I surf fish in Daytona and have caught baby sharks with the cut bait for the whitings
My fav bait is Worms its easy to find and most of the fishes in freshwater rivers or lakes likes them:3
I do most of my fishing up North. My favorite thing to throw is Big D20 rattling cranks! I wont deny live bait works but gosh dang I love working artificial!!
Those hooks look brutal! Jeeeez 😂
Thank you for your service.🇺🇸🇺🇸 And thanks for your fishin skills. Thanks for lettin us live vicariously through you! Have a great night.
It was an Honor. I really appreciate your kind words!
❤️ your boat.
Dream boat
Those are some awesome mangrove snappers!
I use a Mueller wrist brace when I sleep at night to help my wrists. This really helps me get through the day and give me much better longevity for both of my wrists give it a try
Man I love your videos your living my dream. I check everyday to look for your videos
He’s back. Right on. Have a good weekend buddy
I love using ruby red lips. We caught 2 30in red snapper off of them.
my favorite is live bait, especially live pilchards , and throwing them out by the scoopfull alive for tuna or sailfish, a close second would be live hardtails for amberjack, great channel, im another content creator from alabama!
Man, you're killing me! My 28' Mako is down with a bad engine waiting on 2 new ones to come in. Can't wait to get out and wear it out! Keep it up, I love the channel!
I've the same outboards on both my gulf boats, two on one, one on the other, with a spare in the shed. Found it at the dealer as a trade in and had it gone through and stashed. Friend led me to do that. He's into the old 90 Yamaha 2 cycle for his 20' Key Largo, afraid they'll all disappear so he has two extras in his garage. The type that says it's the only motor he'll own, hang everything up when he can't be using one.
Hope you're back out there soon!
You should change to crank handles, it’ll change the angles and torque on your wrist joint
Great videos. I use slot of shrimp, pin ect... Same as you. Stay safe
You do a nice job with your presentation (to us, and the fish!) . Best regards from MI
Crazy how he doesn’t even flinch with orcas swimming right new to him
I use some shrimp but Sometimes I will use blue gill for lake fishing
You had a nice couple of days! Awesome triggers! Good eating there.
I loved watching, keep it up!
trigger sooo good!BUT THOSE SNAPPER WILL WORK..GOOD JOB BAMA GOOD VID. STAY SAFE AN GODBLESS..
Freshwater local live bait. I fish a lowered head damn. Gizzard shad and spot tail minnows make their breeding runs in May, June , and July . Cast net catches them by the dozens. Catch Most types of catfish, stripped bass, white bass, whippers, long-short-spotted gar. Large mouth bass also.
Great video as usual. I thought I saw you wearing a 1st Cav hat in one of your other videos; too bad about your wrist - those armored hatches can be a bear. I also did some time at Ft. Hood with 2/7 Cav.
Anyone see the shark at 9:35? Not sure if he noticed haha. Great video I love your channel!
