despite the circumstances, Nick is really professional here. it takes balls (or coke) to act this passionate with hired non-musicians in front of apathic kids and you know it's probably your final performance
According to article "Solo pop artist ready for dynamic comeback" from 1987 about Stuart Neale, which clipping you can find on community tab, dissolving of Kaja happened in October 1985, so yes that was the end. Probably they had a valid contract for this TV appearance and someone HAD to show up, so Nick came.
@@Limahl_Kajagoogoo_archives I always though that ISLANDS was a masterpiece and Crazy people a good album too. So I will never understand why they didn't try again and again... Alot of bands had no luck with some record, but then they found the key and they made good albums. When many years ago (for example) they prepared GONE TO THE MOON... I touched the sky again! It was a fantastic record to me.
@@GiorgioAmakusaShirouBerzerker unfortunately i think Parlophone/EMI America chose not to continue their contract with Kaja after the commercial failure of Crazy People was a nail-in-the-coffin for the band. i also think they realized they'll never be able to grow beyond the teen pop image that they were initially painted in and they all wanted to grow as musicians
@@afarewelltokings yes, probably. That's why (after) Nick was involved in the amazing project ELLIS BEGGS & HOWARD. Not so lucky but it was a very good band.

Without Steve and Stuart... what a sad moment.

Nick with some random dudes :D (not even trying to press keyboard keys properly).
I guess Nick Beggs was more Groovy voice than Limahl.
Please, please, can someone from that era tell me what is the name of this haircut that Nick has in the CPRTS era, please, please 🙏
ouch, they ELP'd him. this is the saddest Kaja/googoo TV performance i've ever seen
Out of interest what do you mean by 'ELP-ed him'? Thanks!
