I'm thinking of running this tomorrow for my friends but with some mods for Halloween. I might turn the Crab into a Jack o Laughter just cause it's funny, the harpies into zombies and add more around the place, and make the half- orc into a Wight who's been using shipwrecks to build a zombie army from survivors.
You should really look into the three expansion adventures for this module! There's an undead cult that you could pull a lot of inspiration from! They're the latest three videos in the playlist
@@BobWorldBuilder I started reading into those expansions a little. I'm already stealing the Myrkul cult idea and placing that in this adventure in place of Talos for the anchorites. I'm giving them a little necromancy magic for flavor. I might pick up the second module to use the info on Lelion.
My plan is to eventually, after this adventure, link the Myrkul cult with the Red Wizards of Thay, and the larger story arc will have Szass Tam as the big bad guy. Everyone likes saving the world from liches, right? Lol
Totally! Plus, Szass has a little mention in Icewind Dale! Lonelywood has a shopkeeper that's one of his spies. That could make for a nice tie in if you ever use parts of that module too!
