I still have ptsd from that... my bridge... my poor bridge
also, this FRICKEN ship, survived getting CORED. As in, heavy armor core breached, 1/2 large reactors killed AND it's CIC killed, and still had it's fricken bridge intact to escape. We gutted it enough to kill it's CIC, and it STILL SURVIVED.
You killed my ass when you blew up the CIC though XD
Let me also add, that ship survived without a crew. It flew itself out of battle. The pilot on the bridge got killed just as the countdown ended. The seat was still there, so rules alive XD

What's a cic?
The fact Garry was fully willing to Charge Eternity is a sign that this ship and it's crew are fearless (if not a great idea) and are ready to die to make as much of a difference as possible.
If there are any stray Garry's under my bed they're going right back to the Khans. Watching Garry in season 2 inspired me to join the Khans. I cheered and mourned in equal measure when he went down. Garry lived and died by the Creed, may we all be so lucky.
The fact that this was a fracking LIGHT CRUISER doing this is bringing me an immense amount of amusement. This is right up there with the real world Taffy 3 at Savo Island, but in this case Taffy 3 doesn't lose any ships but comes back again and again.

The stories that all of you created together on the server are simply fascinating. Also, the footage of the Gary charging in, circling around the other ships like a lightfooted dancer and showering them with rapid fire were breathtaking. May she find peace in the silence of the void.

gary the woe was a formidable opponent and one hell of a god dam ship, sure a lot of us hated it, but, it earned its respect as a light cruiser, it even gave most of us cdf pilots a run for our money with her captains/commanders.

@@K3rmit94 i must ask even though this video is about Garry... What was Eternity like to deal with? a lone Super Battleship is not something you expect to deal with during a large scale war.
@@The-Omega-Blade it was interesting to work with during season 1 then fighting it, the eternity is a good long range gun platform but can struggle when swarmed by a few smaller ships, the cdf found out the hard way after their first real battle against her that they need different tactics to use against the eternity, battle of the Titans was one of our plans to try and stop the eternity .. though that wasnt the case
Being on the bridge and being witness to the battle between Gary and the Warspite... that thing was crazy. I still get goosebumps when I hear about her. May the Warspite rest in pieces. I am sorry I failed you.

Well that long name is clearly from someone who is Dutch. It's the standard word used by kids if you need a long word. Surprisingly easy to pronounce
I laughed so loud after seeing a word that I use on a daily basis in the most random spot possible.

I haven't reached that part of the series yet, but just hearing the talks, it almost sounds like the Khan's equal to the EFN Eternity. And it was just a light cruiser.

I am little new to this, but there something real smart about that design, It remind me of sloping amour on on tanks. The only real flat part is the top and the long kneel in the bottom.
However next time you do a spotlight please do a run down on the weapons, shields, Main engine or drive, the bow thruster engines (sorry I am try use real world things to describe this tech, i mean the engine that let s you move left or right and "do a barrel row".) Also crew numbers and resources pool for repair.

Non EFN faction cannot repair during battle.
It had 2 large reactors. Went through multiple refits. Main armament was a handful of 400mm turrets.
Outlands is more D&D esque than 24/7 dedicated server.
If you want lore on Garry though, there's now a wiki for Outlands.

So in preface- I've never played Space Engineers. Rather, I do play a lot of a game called 'From the Depths', which -would- allow for the building of space-faring warships that can blow chunks out of each other. And in light of that, upon seeing this video, I ask myself 'Could this be replicated in From the Depths?' Along with an 'OoOOh, I wonder if I could replicate the faction campaign for FTD over discord?' And an added 'Would the same principals apply, and how many would be different?' Seeing as FTD is more geared towards AI vessel control than player input, it still very much makes me want to muck around with the possibilities. Seeing as, after all, the Megalodon is literally a faction ship in FTD, so I wonder if the Battleship in your series by that name was inspired by the FTD version or not... Depthians do love a good meme, and seeing a Gary transcend its game would make me happy, having heard this awesome stuff about it here.
Megalodon was inspired by the shark species. Khan's are shark bois, and Megalodon was beeg shark.

Ok so… what I’m hearing is Garry prettymuch hard carried the khans, the moment she died they just packed up and surrendered.
a few questions 1 has anyone tried to make an auto drone factory ya know on goes the switch out comes many bees from the box i could see something like that being employed on a mining ship with a few schematics, rocket drone for blast mining, a swarm of grinders with a gat or two for defense, or even a "hacked schematic" thats a moving warhead mine basicly a case of something easy to churn out but has all the staying power of a gnat. 2 in the event of downtime like a dead heat have you thought of focusing on "civilan endevors" for filler or maybe even a bit of fluff?
We dont do laggy things like drones. Ship printers and laggy scripts. Though there ideas are great they would nuke our poor little server XD

Question, how would you rule a Patrol Torpedo Boat? I mean from the factory they have to be pretty standard, but they should be encouraged for customization. For example PT boat 109 under the command of Lieutenant John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) “acquired“ an antitank gun from the army.

The number of infantry respawns and tanks for the match is determined by the carrying capacity of the facility and landing ships in orbit. you need a facility or landed prefab to garrison forces. If you outnumber someone 3 to 1 you can autoresolve.
Remindes me of the corvette class ship from the independence war games! Awesome! Loved season 2 also!
What a legend
You know what would happen if you had a nothing single ship faction group only the main ship they have isn't for direct combat at all not even a super battle ship like the eternity but fuctioned more like a Carrior/ factory. Like it's a robing refinery construction ship that can deploy ships but a minimal amount of weapons on it. thus needs to build up it's own ships or even drones to protect itself.
Might be an interesting faction where your primary and best asset needs to be kept away from the fighting at all costs. While it would be a useful thing having a mobile factory and such with no real defenses this faction might have to rely on making an alliance with another to survive or manage to just on the move start building it's own fleet as it's moving which in space engineers does seem a bit difficult.
Although it would be interesting to see a fighter swarm with bombers engage larger ships at times.

I dont know if this is something the community or what you would like to do but I had a idea that is based off a game called homeworld 1 or 2 I forgot which one took place on the desert planet where there is like 1 or more (it doesn't matter) aircraft carrier that moves on land i have no idea what to call it but that is basically that and maybe some big cities that are walled because of a faction that is very aggressive and love to attack people and they would have to go around all over for resources and some are more hard to find than normal and end game where they find out about a core that is just a core that can support a entire world or something and all the factions rush to it and they can either decide to work together and get it and make sure the hostile faction does not get it or kill each other for it and like it would decide the fate of the planet either it recovers and becomes a paradise or becomes worse and eventually being destroyed. (Forgot to add this but it is only land and plane vehicles no space ships that would normally be built it would be interesting how it would turn out)

I noticed in one of your past videos you were complaining about your throat, your voice still sounds scratchy, just in case you're not just sick please look into vocal staining, it has happened to a lot of my favorite content creators using stage voice.
I'll keep that in mind. If I recall my voice was fine here. But I do a lot of talking between two channels, podcasts and more.
Not to mention all the screaming I do when I play video games.

unlikely, because SE itself is not cross platform.

Ship combat in this game now is literally "how many gyros can i fit in my ship and how fast can i turn it while still being able to deal damage"

If the server still up he should do an army of mindless drones that seek simulation and if any ships are abandoned it will take in a simulate that technology and can turn ships against one another that or have a small Squadron of very very very futuristic spaceships that are absurdly ahead of their time with technology such as lasers and super powerful Shield in other words an Unstoppable Squad
I can hardly see that being fun, especially if people are just wantonly going around and litterly copy pasting a ship you poured your heart and soul into making, and then have it get up kitted to kill you. It litterly punishes you for making good ship designs
