Happy New Year yall! It’s always scary starting something new… but I’ve just felt ready for a big change and a new challenge, that will help me reach my goals this year! Thanks for coming along and supporting this new step ❤ *this channel documents my personal journey. Please see linked information for details on this diet, and always consult your physician before starting a new health plan ❤
Nothing wrong with focusing on whole foods, but be careful with elimination dieting. The phrases like “processed junk” or “hard reset” set off alarm bells in my head for what I consider crash diets. It has been proven over and over that those don’t work long term.
My sister and her husband have been doing animal based for about 2 months and they're feeling amazing! They've both dropped like 25 pounds each, inflammation is down, brain fog is gone, more energy, etc. Some people will follow it long term and others use it short term to help heal their bodies. I'm excited for you!!!!
we have been making a lot of our own of just about everything. you would be surprise how much better you can feel. We stopped the bottled stuff too. Making our own marina is the best. I even make my own kale salad poppy dressing. the basic stuff will make a difference. thanks for the video, always love seeing what you are up to
with leftover sourdough, we make croutons and then what it left we grind into our bread crumbs (just make sure they are toasted dry as you can get them)
If you have a natural grocer in your area- they have “raw” milk that’s not homogenized but still slightly pasteurized so you still get that cream on top without having to to buy it straight from a dairy
i remember this one time i felt completely stuck, like no matter what i did, life just wasn’t moving forward. i tried everything-manifestation journals, vision boards, all that stuff-but it felt like i was missing something. then i stumbled across this book, Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and it hit different. it wasn’t just about manifesting; it was about understanding the energy i was putting out into the world. honestly, it changed everything. if you’re feeling stuck too, you might want to check out this book.
Yes I’d love to see you do a sour dough starter video! My husband got me a Dutch oven for Christmas because I want to start making bread but have no idea what yo do!!! 😁
We all do well with shaking things up sometimes. It will interesting to see how you like your 30 day animal based plan. I was always in awe of people that went carnivore. That one seems so hard. I really don't know anything about the animal based diet but it seems so much better than carnivore. I feel the same way as you do about raw cheese and dairy, seems like not worth the chance. You said your meat should be grass fed. Don't know if your plan states if it should also be grass finished. Sometimes meat will label it as grass fed, but then they finish fattening up the cow on grain before slaughter. So you're getting grains that way. But I don't want to eat the corn that isn't organic because of the chemicals in the corn. So I like to get grass fed, grass finished beef or I'll also get organic beef that's grass fed, grain finished since they have to feed organic grains that way. I would love to have you do a sour dough series. I have made some sour dough breads before, but I had bought my starter from King Arthur's website.... and after awhile got behind in maintaining the starter and just tossing it. I've never tried to make a starter from scratch so I would love for you to teach us that.
I’m trying out WW again especially now that the plan has updated! I’m excited for the changes. Good luck with animal based, I know it’s trending right now.
so glad u found something comfortable to u nice contents u choose I wish u nothing but prosperity in ur journey happy new year to u all that bread looks good keep up the great work lauren hello to u and all the family don't forget the little doggie In God we trust God blesses us all!!!!
Happy New Year, just coming to say… please don’t switch to raw dairy. It’s been on the news that the fda is advising people esp. in the south east to not eat raw dairy due to the bird flu spreading in cows. Bird flu is present in cow’s milk. There has been little human transmission so far, but raw dairy could spread it in humans. That gives me the ick on that topic.😮
I’m on Whole30 right now (I’ve done it 3-4 other times in the past) and I love using Thrive Market! Depending on where you live it can just be hard to find products with clean ingredients and when you do find them they can be really expensive while Thrive often has sales and promotions.
I’ve been doing carnivore since middle of December and so far i love it. I came from a mostly plant based diet so it was a pretty big adjustment. I am adding back fruits and veggies in a couple weeks. I needed a reset too! I was noticing insulin drops when eating too many veggies. Electrolytes are a huge deal, I don’t love most of the ones on the market because they all have fake sugars so I just mix salt in water with a squeeze of lemon. I need to find a flavorless electrolytes that don’t cost a million dollars.
I hear you! I think I stood looking at the options in store like 10min not really happy with any… but they have made me feel better to keep going, so I guess that’s a win!
One of those drink mixes in ice water, with a splash of heavy cream, and just a few freeze dried strawberries is a decemt copycat of the pink drink at Starbucks.
Good morning Lauren how are you happy Tuesday morning to you and I hope you having amazing day and you are amazing supporter happy new year and I hope that 2025 brings you a love and happiness
I’ve been following you since you were on WW and I am so glad to see you eating less processed foods now. Whole, organic foods that are free of glyphosate and preservatives will help your cells do the job they were intended to do instead of battling all the garbage in our food supply. Wishing you great success and great health 🙏
Been doing carnivore for 2 weeks, sick of it lol! I’ve committed to a whole month just to see if it actually helps me with weight loss and feeling better. I feel good body wise, but feel yucky when I think of eating more meat 😩 I’m craving a sweet kale salad lol
Is your husband following this as well? I always feel for people who have to cook different meals for different family members. Must make it a lot harder.
Egg prices in NYC swing wildly from week to week. For a few weeks in November 2 doz jumbo eggs were $10, then $7 / 1 doz!? They’re expensive again so I eat less of them. Best of luck with your WLJ-❤❤❤

Started following you when you were on WW. Good luck. As a nurse I saw people with liver damage so stick to lean meats
I started watching you when you were following WW. I feel like it's not just a diet but a way of life. Good luck on your new journey.

Yes please post a starter recipe I would love to try to make it myself
Yes I’d love to see you do a sour dough starter video! My husband got me a Dutch oven for Christmas because I want to start making bread but have no idea what yo do!!! 😁
Yes to starting a sourdough starter!!! Thanks for posting this. I haven't heard of this ❤
I'm very interested in learning more about the sourdough process so a sourdough starter video would be great!

Hi Lauren!- This seen like a great step for your WLJ👍 . Thanks for the great introduction to the ‘Animal Based Diet’. HAPPY NEW YEAR! ❤❤❤
I’m trying out WW again especially now that the plan has updated! I’m excited for the changes. Good luck with animal based, I know it’s trending right now.

I’d be interested in starting sourdough, have been wanting to for a couple years. It just scares me having good bread in the house all the time.

yes to sour dough starter
I hear ya on the processed foods! I am trying as well to minimize processed foods. Thrive Market is on my radar for some items as well! Thanks!! ✨
I’ve heard great things about Thrive! Let me know if you try it out!

@@LaurenMJansenI use Thrive, but even there you need to research the ingredients!
Trim healthy mama plan is great.
I do carnivore and best decision ever! Prayers for you!!!

Please try saltt electrolyte by keto chow. Cleanest ones on the market and ooohhh so tasty! They do have a unflavored one also.
Great to see you trying new things. You should check out Dr. Ken Berry and his wife Neisha he is more carnivore she is more ketovore.
One of those drink mixes in ice water, with a splash of heavy cream, and just a few freeze dried strawberries is a decemt copycat of the pink drink at Starbucks.
Been carnivore for 3 months! It will be my lifestyle! ❤

Happy. New Year
Don’t do raw dairy. Listen to your instincts there 👀
Your bread is beautiful. Are you incorporating this way of eating into your calorie deficit plan, just curious.
Thank you! Yes I’m still following/tracking a calorie deficit. Just working to eliminate some unhealthy foods and reset after the holidays!
@@LaurenMJansen It will be fun to follow
you on this new plan.
That 24 pack was only $7.00? One dozen non organic eggs at my Michigan Aldi are $3.96.
It was $7 and change… but yes, eggs I feel are a great deal at Costco!
one dozen eggs at our store is $6, non-organic.
Egg prices in NYC swing wildly from week to week. For a few weeks in November 2 doz jumbo eggs were $10, then $7 / 1 doz!? They’re expensive again so I eat less of them. Best of luck with your WLJ-❤❤❤
put a teaspoon coconut oil, 1/8-1/4 tsp cinnamon, 2tbsp cream (or coconut milk), 1/2 tsp honey in your coffee. you can thank me later
