How to replace Ford Ranger door handle 2005

How to replace the Ford Ranger door handle. I think it is the same for 2000-2011.
I ordered one on Amazon for under $10
Need a metal drill bit and replacement nut and bolt

Man, you guys skipped the hardest steps by not showing how to detach and reattach "the bar on the right" piece with the hook to the new handle and/or to the device inside the door that it hooks to. What a joke video. The steps everyone wants to see, you leave out. Come on man.

If you use a punch to pop out what’s left of the rivet shank thru first, before drilling the rivet, AND, use the correct size bit, it makes drilling the rivet a 30 second job. The way you were drilling the rivets was incorrect.

angielover100 exactly and they skipped the bar removal from the handle the only actual hard part of the job

I just used a punch witch sheared the rivet and the later half fell in the door it was better than easy.

You left out how to install the door rod which was the whole reason of why I'm looking on here. Other than that good show

Both of my door handles broke. The doors are unlocked. Can I jimmy the rod from the outside to open the doors / door?

That sucks. I am not sure i have only unlocked it not sure if you can get to the latch to open it.

Do you have the link of the handle you bought? I have those exact same door handles on my ranger but passenger side is broken, i bought some on ebay but i received some cheap plastic looking ones.

1-A auto has all metal , looks same as OEM for same price as Doorman brand from auto zone.

Buy the one from the Ford dealer. It costs $38.00 but you know it fits perfectly--every time.
