I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the USMLE exam last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mr Richard
This was really helpful. Thank you for looking out for future test takers. I sure would've been too overwhelmed by it all had this video not been there!
THANK YOU for this channel! Video suggestion: how to solve questions efficiently. Uworld questions are LONG so do you approach a question and what's your mentality.
Thanks a lot !! This is the first time I have total clarity about what is going to happen it was very helpful may god bless u ❤keep doing what u r doing ❤❤
You have explained so beautifully. But i have one question.when we say 5min break.. the whole break is wasted in the process of finger printing.getting yourself checked and i guess it takes more than 5min.. 5min is so less time for going out
You produce excellent videos and I’m not even in medical school. This video was meaningful to me since I have taken many exams at Prometric testing centers. By the way they gave me laminated scratch pads too.
Wow, thank you SO much! I would’ve had a panic attack if I saw that 8 hour timer unannounced 🥲 Appreciate you taking the time to explain so thoroughly! Cheers! 🍻
hey nice, u made a video on exam day. thanks for that. it cleared many doubts. I have one specific question to ask - is a water bottle allowed in the test room?
you said we can bring in coffee to drink and put outside of the locker. could you describe the layout of the locker room? do they have open and flat surfaces on the superior side of the locker in order to place coffee, etc? are the locker locks combination or key?
The Prometric center I was at had number coded key that matched the locker. The lockers are in the reception area and are just big enough for personal belongings like phone, wallet, etc.
Quick q - if you finish a section early does that time go into your break? For example, if I finish block 1 in 45 min instead of 60 and then go into block 2, have I now gained 15 more min of break time?
Yeah, you would have gained that time as you would not have used the last 15 mins of that block from the 8 hour timer and would get 1 hour to start the next block.
The answer is NO! No personal belongings except glasses in the exam room. They will examine your glasses. You must pull your pocket lining out and they scan you with a metal detector. Finally, I had to lift my pant legs up to show them nothing was stuck to my legs.
Do we need to raise our hands or something to ask for a break? Or do we just stand and leave? Thank you . And the fingerprint part scares me as I believe many of us would have our hands sweating.
The USMLE exam is very difficult to pass, I can't believe i failed step 1after studying with so many materials😞
Sometimes doesn't matter how hard you study you also need to pray to God for success
@ very correct

Hi Dr
Please the last tip is it free and is it at the exam center. Prior to exam day?
you said we can bring in coffee to drink and put outside of the locker. could you describe the layout of the locker room? do they have open and flat surfaces on the superior side of the locker in order to place coffee, etc? are the locker locks combination or key?
The Prometric center I was at had number coded key that matched the locker. The lockers are in the reception area and are just big enough for personal belongings like phone, wallet, etc.
Great vid, one question. Do i have to take the whole 60minutes to take a block? In practice exams I do then faster than 60 minutes thanks
What is the new update? What are prometric questions exactly? If anyone can explain!
Prometric is the secure and proctored exam testing site.
Are you allowed to where a watch during the exam? (not a smartwatch obviously)
The answer is NO! No personal belongings except glasses in the exam room. They will examine your glasses. You must pull your pocket lining out and they scan you with a metal detector. Finally, I had to lift my pant legs up to show them nothing was stuck to my legs.
So there is no way to track your time outside the test room? :c
@@rudyluna857 You are allowed to use your phone during breaks so you could check the time there
🎉
Do we need to raise our hands or something to ask for a break? Or do we just stand and leave? Thank you . And the fingerprint part scares me as I believe many of us would have our hands sweating.
Just have to click on your computer
are we allowed to have calculator with us for biostatistic questions or a paper to use as note?
There is a calculator on the computer, so you cannot bring in your own.
Hey , thanks for the great advise . Just wanted to ask about the difficulty level(like was it more like the uworld or the nbmes)
how much did you get on step1 tho?
Is this part one of the 8 hour walkthrough
Click bait with the word 8 hr ?)
