Thanks for putting your feelings out into a video. It helps me to hear how you are coping. I got so used to having a spouse who kept our life working like a well oiled machine that, when she was gone, it became scary not knowing if I can keep the machine moving along. I have muddled through it so far, but it is a whole new rhythm of life to learn. Best wishes for you to continue to adjust to life without your partner.

We love you Alvin. Your channel has become a favorite of mine and you have always been a shining example of how a human being should be, and to watch you grieve is a humbling reminder to all of us that tragedies in life come along as surely as comedies. The world does go on, as unfair as it seems, but thank you for continuing to be a great role model even through this incredibly tough time in your life.

Time, patience and grace. Time will make those moments of feeling alone in your grief get better further between. Patience will give you stillness in your mind and heart as you recognise that it's going to take time. Grace allows you to be ok with not being ok, to make mistakes, to have good days and bad days.

Thank you Alvin. You will live through her, and she will live through you, Always. Let the tears flow when needed, that’s Gods way of temporarily removing grief and the poisons from our soul. When you mentioned Lenee had passed I had to cry, it was something that just came up within, whether it was for you or something in me that needed out I had to let it go. Praying for you and your families. I wish you all the very best. God bless my friend. ❤️🙏

It’s a crushing blow when someone you love dies , all your emotions become fragile your thoughts keep you awake trying to come to terms with the situation at hand . I have no advice other than don’t forget what your children are going through also and try to understand their feelings and help them and together with any luck you will all get through this . Be very careful with everything your doing , your at a vulnerable stage in your life so stay focused. Love you man

Your wife sounds like an amazing person. She will never be forgotten. Take time to grieve. I lost a friend years ago in an accident. It never makes sense. But my memory of who he was lives on.
We likely will never meet ( I’d love to fish within you but live far away) but always feel free to share on these videos. Many of us are listening and care

Don't feel alone. Just know that it takes more than most of us probably have, on some days, well for most days. The problem is that loss makes that so apparent. Baby-steps, focus on gratitude, and don't worry about breaking-down. Feeling loss is healthy, and it is good that you reached out to us. I pray that God blesses you with whatever it is that you are going thru.

Alvin, I’ve been watching your channel for a long time. For the entertainment as well as educational content.
I lost my wife of 54 years in July. We had her Celebration of Life this past weekend. When I say I know what you’re going through, I do! I only wish you could feel some comfort from me as I do listening to you.
They tell us things will get better/easier. I’m not sure I’m ready for that. I loved her as much after 54 years as I did the day we were married. I don’t want to loose that.
I really wish we weren’t in this same damn club!

Thanks for sharing, your truth. We are all thinking of you and the girls. Praying for yall. I cannot imagine, although we had a scary July with my wife. She had a stroke, was otherwise health. We (4 adults and 1 teenager) can't do what she did. So it is okay brother., grief comes when it wants to, so don't feel bad. Take care of you and the girls and do what you can, you will receive grace.
Just hug those amazing girls and remember your wife knows you can do this. And being busy can be good! Keeps you moving forward. It is tough, very few know how this feels, but you have tons of support. But you need to let yourself grieve, there is no timeline. And your going to have grief come and go, embrace it.

Thank you so much, you are so right about my wife knowing I can do this. She used to tell me all the time that it was no big deal, she said she just made it all up. I'm trying to remind myself of that and lean on the strength she showed every day.

Everyone grieves differently, realize that, there's no right or wrong way. Also realize that grief is a lifelong journey-not a process with a beginning and an end. Allow yourself pity, cry when you need to and try to remember that, while there will be daily ups and downs, the long term trend will be brighter. One day the happy moments will outnumber the sad moments. Prayers for you and your family brother. peace.

Alvin, thank you for sharing in your loss. This is a monumentally difficult thing to do and it shows great courage and strength in your character. We all care very much for you, especially now when you are grieving so. I think I can speak for everyone when I say we are very proud of you. You are right. The world will keep going. And to reflect positively in the manner you are doing will bring you peace. You are doing this rightly. We must not add feeling sorry for ourselves on top of our grief. This will only serve to ensnare us into a painful circle. Instead, replace that with praise and thanks and you will be lifted. Give thanks and praise that you were given the gift of Lenai in your life. Peace be with you brother.

Hang in there Alvin. We all go through it at some point. I've been lucky in using life itself to temper grief. Whether it is through work, exercise or travel, we've just gotta keep moving. I'm sure that your young ones will help with motivation. Stay busy and keep the brain working. This fly fishing stuff is helping and I recently bought a kayak that I'm planning to use to catch something big! Keep the videos coming when you can. Thank you for what you do.

I know your girls need you more than ever now. I will be praying for you during this time. I know it must seem like there is no end right now. But you will come through this. This has not happened to me yet. But you will be able to help folks, that will be going through this later. There are lot of people here that love you. I read through their comments. I hope you have a close community that is supportive to your family at this time. Again love ya brother, keep us posted when you are able ❤️

There is a time for everything…when my father passed away, I was already a single parent working and going to college full time while raising 2 kids. I inherited his daughter who was younger than my two daughters. It took me time to grieve my father because I was in fight or flight…I had no time. I found ways to grieve my father through making videos, crying and writing and talking about him. There are all forms of purging deep emotions. It sounds like you are finding your ways to grieve the loss of your wife. Grieving is a process. ❤🙏🏽

Alvin, your grief will pass it just takes time! Soon your heart will be full and the memories of your best friend, wife and mother of your children will turn to joy! Here is a passage that may help you.
    John 16:20
Jesus said : Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
God Love all of you and you will get past this! 😇
