It has some cool Giallo tones throughout & overall I just loved how beautiful the movie was. It definitely has its own vibe for sure. I think that’s why the trilogy is so cool how different each film in tone & time periods. They are all standalone films but connected. How genius 🔥

The movie alone is pretty good. As a horror fan and 80s fan (especially when these two things go together) i personally enjoyed it. Its aesthetically pleasing and has the traditional slasher elements (it wasn't really scary). I would rewatch it again someday. However, I do recognize why people are upset with this movie as the ending of the trilogy. In comparison with Pearl and X , there were high expectations. Overall if u dont take things too seriously I would recommend to go watch. Its still a fun, summer movie
I agree, after Pearl the expectations SKY ROCKETED. I personally still enjoyed what we got and love Maxine's character she's not the typical horror movie trope. She literally made a name for herself. @@iDK_99672 What?
Maxxxine is horrible...
Please, make sure this is released simultaneously in Brazil ! Mia Goth is a legend here.
Você quis dizer a neta da atriz brasileira maria gladys?
Pelo amor de Deus, vey. Hahahah. X saiu nos cinemas daqui quase um ano depois, não colonizem nossa princesinha do grito.
Noo! Don’t realize this immediately in Brazil!! Mia Goth is an American icon!!
Come to Brazil
@@delcarm Noo!
Mia Goth is straight up incredible and deserved an Oscar nomination for her role in Pearl. This looks to be just as amazing!
Her monologues in each of the movies have been spectacular, and I hope we get another one here
Amen to that
Totally agree. Her performance, especially that monologue, was ICONIC. The Oscars is so fake
Night Stalker, Bates Motel, AND X!? This is gonna be crazy!
MaXXXine reminds me of the actress from "monster"
She's at the universal lot. Psycho exists in the world of X cause Lorraine mentioned psycho in X
Wish this came out sooner ALIEN, Deadpool, and Furiosa dont come out for months too shit!
I don’t think it’s going to get a Dolby Cinema release, but it definitely needs one 🤞🏾
Think she has James Bonds gun too
2:02 This is so badass cause she's literally flexing on Pearl that she's a movie star
Me as editor:MOM IM FAMOUS
RIGHT
how?
This movie was the corniest movie I’ve ever seen
So in the movie pearl when shes auditioning for something She keeps yelling at the judges NO PLEASE IM A STAR IM A STARRR
Anything with a 70's/80's look i'm here for it!! those were the best days
I completely agree. I love the 70s and 80s aesthetic in movies.
What are some pf your favourite?
@@bluesquirrel2472 There is no many.. but Boogie Nights is one of my favorite movie of all time.
This has gotta be the single biggest blow up of an indie movie I’ve seen in my lifetime. How do you go from X to having a cast and marketing like this in 2024? Blown away
I love how logo A24 is styled to Hollywood sign, it’s just fabulous
Wow!! Just seen MaXXXine and wow! First of all the film is just beautifully 80s! Just pure 80s NOSTALGIA! The soundtrack , the cinematography & aesthetics ALONE! It has some cool Giallo tones throughout & overall I just loved how beautiful the movie was. It definitely has its own vibe for sure. I think that’s why the trilogy is so cool how different each film in tone & time periods. They are all standalone films but connected. How genius 🔥
I'm heading to see it this afternoon and I'm soooo excited. Your comment just made me squeal a little. In my eyes, if it's even half as good as Pearl it will be perfect.
@@amandaball552 it’s so different like all 3 films are all different with their tones & mood. I LOVED it for so many reasons. I really did feel I was in the 80s so much detail. I also avoided the trailer as well to have fresh eyes & it was such a blast for these particular reasons.
@@amandaball552 I was singing the whole time because of the bomb 80s soundtrack

Same!!
That shot reminds me of the face that Angela made in the ending of Sleepaway Camp
Okay I won't lie, I somehow mixed up Lily Collins with Billy Piper lol. I have no idea who Lily is but her screaming bloody face was the most memorable part of this crazy trailer.

Shes still got that X factor! Who else instantly noticed jenna/lorraine’s scream from X in the police evidence tape??😄😄😄
Immediately noticed it. Nice touch to show the audience what she’s seeing on the tape (if they don’t end up showing it in the movie)
The exact same scream that they added in Pearl''s trailer ^
@@batool2000rox ahh well i missed that one. In the trailer for X they play that scream over the shot of lorraine running out the door before she gets shot too. A lot of use out of that scream lol
@@bananasaregood8655 I’m pretty sure when she’s running out the door it’s her Jennas scream in the opening of scream 5
I just checked and yeah it the one from scream but they do use her other one at another part in the trailer
Wow! Just f**king wow! It's about time someone made a decent film, because for the last 10 years I have not seen anything worth watching. I just finished watching MaXXXine, and I couldn't stop watching, what a brilliant film. This was a 9 out of 10 until the ending we all hoped would happen in so many films, now it's a 10. Watch this, you will not be disappointed.
Very Giallo-esque. I like how X had a Texas Chainsaw Massacre vibe, Pearl was like a technicolored nightmare, which bleeds into Maxxxine, which appears to be influenced by a sub-genre of horror, Giallo, that's known for bright shiny blood and Technicolor. This looks outstanding. And I'm holding out hope for an unexpected 4th film!!
Pearl also gave me very strong “Carrie” inspiration! ❤
YOU KNOW GIALLOS!?!?!?!? NO WAY
@@kvngggaladrosa ...lol...yea
I’ve read somewhere that the movie is described as a homage to Dario Argento and the Giallo genre. I’m very exciting with this one.
80s background music,
Loved it❤
Do you know what the song is?
Animotion - obsession
Laura branigan - self control
Both the songs were used in gta vice city
IT FEELS LIKE WEVE BEEN WAITING FOR AN ETERNITY!! ANOTHER MASTERPIECE INCOMING!
A new favorite 😍 saw it last night & it was soooo good! But didnt expect anything less as so were Pearl & X
It was so good! Just seen it tonight & I loved how beautifully 80s the movie was in almost every way. Just pure 80s nostalgia with the giallo fusion.
@@CrayDreZ yesss 👏
@@AliFrancisca I think I was just in love with the 80s tone & mood the whole time. The music that played throughout ending with “Bette Davis eyes” on top of how beautiful it was shot & really felt so 80s
@@CrayDreZ i left the theater & couldn’t think of the word “giallo”. Lol I was chatting with the person I saw it with & said, what was that word? You know, like dario argento’s films. Sooo thanks for the reply to my comment because that was the word I was looking for lol but it was just sooo artistically beautiful, thats what I want to see in my horror films!! I loved the cinematography! I also found some new music through the soundtrack! All around beautifully done! Felt like some scenes were cut & hopefully those will be available for viewing sometime!
THE BATES MOTEL 😍
....@Reggiezombie
@Reggiezombie well, the Bates Motel IS in the film psycho, so what's your point?
There's something truly remarkable about the way these movies look. They transport you back in time while adding a modern flair to keep things interesting. You can feel the love and attention to detail that went into creating them. It's like stepping into a time machine and experiencing the past with a fresh perspective. You can almost smell the nostalgia seeping through the screen, reminding you of a simpler time when things weren't so polished and perfect. It's a testament to the artistry and dedication of those behind the scenes who strive to keep the authenticity alive in a world of sleek digital perfection

The trilogy is officially complete! A24 will forever be the greatest and most respected studio of the 2020s!
Not really no. 60% of their movies has been really bad.
lol A24 is a really good Producing studio give propers Dues to the Directors and for the Fact the Studio learned years back that if they just hire good talent (as the brothers who own A24 tried to produce and Direct and one film was half good the other real bad) and not interfere that being said...A24 as some def Trash films they have produced that had good Premise Your just forgetting that Studios have all been bought up , and A24 is one of the few with enough oil money to produce Indi film directors ideas to the big screen with good budget lol

@rockzen8050 good point.

This was a well done trailer. Showed a lot but without actually revealing anything. They've captured the 80's feel perfectly & I love the use of Universal Studios as a setting. Add a bit of Laura Branigan with one of my favourite songs of the 80's playing over the trailer & 👌 perfection.

I couldn't imagine anyone else in this role except Mia Goth.
Well yeah. It's the role she played in the first one
ALSO Ti is making a 4th movie so I'm not sure if this is the end of Maxine's journey...if it is I'm interested to see where he goes with this.
@@TheGililgi Wait, what? He's making a 4th movie?? But wasn't it like... a TRIlogy, you know, like, three movies being connected with the third movie being the final chapter of the story?

Wow okay then
Let’s goo !
This was good, Mia Goth is gorgeous and a great actress. Pearl is still my favourite, that movie was amazing. But this movie is still good, and I actually thought that this was better than X. So my ranking for the three in my opinion:
1: Pearl
2: Maxxxine
3: X
I have so much respect for Ti West and the entire crews that worked on the movies. They almost came from nowhere with so much talent and a balance between hommage and identity, with freshness, well-written characters without dwelling on endless over used tropes…
Ti West been cranking out bangers for years though, absolute legend
MAXINE GIRL, I MISS YOU SO BAD
Wow. Ti West officially has outdone himself. Instantly one of my all-time favorite trailers. Blown away.
This looks AMAZING!!!!! I thought Pearl was good- this looks even better!
Mia Goth and TI West has the potential to have multiple collaborations like Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese in the slasher horror genre and if that happens in the future, that'd be freaking awesome
The way they cut the music into this trailer is fantastic and a masterclass on how it should be done.
