I was undetected, went near the extraction, and a whole patrol somehow started shooting at me through terrain, even though I was prone. There seems to be something that somehow ignores stealth in some cases like with extraction.
It’s hard u gotta understand the layout bc sometimes a strike won’t do the job and you have to throw a grenade In too clear the outpost u most likely will be spotted but if you just run back to the trees you will be ok

I usually bring along the walking barrage instead of the 380 for both of those reasons - the spread is tighter and more predictable, and you can walk it across several fabricators. When I saw the zunis and airstrike I was like damn this guy is way better than I am

@@atlgameslayergaming honestly, hasnt happened to me yet. I play a lot of helldive and usually try put new stuff depending on the mission (except for sentries, they mostly suck except for the defense missions), and most people are fine with it.
Funniest thing is, it takes time and experimentation against both races and with different playstyles to really work out what's most effective. A lot of the "meta" that people are following is only what's immediately obvious when you start playing.

If you play on console you can just appear offline it stops anyone joining you without a invite, that's how to play solo, is there a option on pc to appear offline I'm not sure

Bro stratagem mogged me, I did not expect those picks. Watching you work with the rockets, airstrike, and a rail cannon was beautiful, artistic even. Have you considered walking barrage for a rocket pod replacement? It does great at clearing mech fabricators, one well placed barrage can be walked over and destroy a medium outpost while you’re running off to avoid the reinforcements. It also has unlimited calls, and is my go to for solo extracting - call shuttle, go prone in a bush until it arrives, let the bots stack up on the landing. When it touches down, I call the barrage, walking it through the landing pad and pushing in after it. Works a treat. Well done Helldiver, Lady Liberty wants your signature for a C-01!
Thanks! Yeah I have friends who swear by the walking barrage. Only issue for me is it's a little inconsistent, sometimes it can wreck a base, other times it can miss all the vital targets. The long base cooldown combined with the 50% cooldown penalty meant that for this op it just made more sense for me to bring stuff I could guarantee hits with. They don't look quite as cool tho, ha.
I do stealth missions alot, he does it pretty differently than I, I tend to not switch tasks completely then return to them 6 minutes later lol Also that ending was evil

Yeah, timing my rearms is something I'm still working on. Think I was holding onto one in case things went south with a patrol, but could have saved some time.
really impressive, first time i watched a helldivers video of that length in it's totality, great watch. i don't really understand the stealth yet in the game however, it seems that as long as they don't see you they aren't aggro'd by noises, am i right in that ? cause sometimes you killed some of them with their allies fairly close by and they didn't seem to care their automaton buddy just exploded.
They can be agro by noise, which is also reduced if you wear armor with stealth perk, not just visibility. I've got a pretty good handle on it at this point but the only thing I don't understand is strategems... sometimes I throw a stratagem and the enemies are so clueless they don't even move, sometimes they immediately turn towards me and start attacking. Idk what to try differently.
@@silentsmokeNIN Could there be a difference b/w defensive and offensive strategems? The blue ones may not do anything, but the red ones get them worked up?
What silentsmoke said, it seems the armour reduces noise detection range as well so you can take out isolated groups as long as an ally isn't staring at the guys you kill.
@@silentsmokeNIN I think it has something to do with whether the stratagem ball lands in their field of view or not, I've had different results even with the same strat being thrown. Needs more testing tho.

this is some pro level gameplay good job! i hope the stealth will continue to evolve because it's the closest gameplay we have to "modern MGS" until Kojima does his magic with that stealth game he announced lol - despite the balance issues i still love how helldivers plays so i'm here to see it develop well!
The one thing about this extract point is that you have to be prone and as close to the edge and nestled between the rocks as possible. There is currently a bug with detection and certain terrain objects and most buildings don’t actually offer any obscurity. What you did here was good but going prone and more right would’ve saved you. The bots don’t patrol all the way up this hill but where they did patrol they were able to see you through the rock. Other than that man, very solid run. Truly one of the greatest solo’s I’ve seen
The more you know...I've started just waiting out the timer and then being free to stealth away from the point, then running in once pelican arrives, seems much safer.
If this were a movie, i would say i feel sorry for spike. Such a cool guy. Conveyed nice extension during mission and then he died at the end. Respect. The last scene makes some people understand how difficult the play was.
Amazing! My first stealth attempt was at difficulty 7 and not a 100% but it was successful! My second attempt went horribly wrong. Watched your vid to see if I could learn a few things and it's been very helpful. Gonna try some more stealth missions later!

Im so happy to see other players use unusual loadouts, similiar to the one i use the most, Anti Material Rifle gang rise up :3 Also! Try using it with jetpack, great way to reposition, or to get into really nice sniping spots. Or even into places where enemies cant get you
Don't get me wrong, the railgun is exactly my favourite type of weapon: high damage, piercing, charge mechanic, can kill yourself with it But it's always neat to play the uncommon loadouts
Respect to our solo Diver Operatives, while the newer divers will harden their experience in fighting ze bugs. The 'tougher than nails' Operatives are holding the line against the expansion of the Automaton Communists.
@@malikjordan833 you will overcome this burden, rule 1: do not dive. Bile spewers can still track you if you dive and hit your toes. Instead circle em and use thick cover. For bile titans diving is a good idea to get the slow off asap.

Sometimes it's possible, sometimes not. It really depends on spawn pool and other things AI decides to throw at you
Stealth with robots is way easier.
Autocannon shots can lure robots to the place you shoot. This might help you lower the rng effect

Bots know what an offensive stratagem is, and the commissars will immediately call for help if they see one.

Im so happy to see other players use unusual loadouts, similiar to the one i use the most, Anti Material Rifle gang rise up :3 Also! Try using it with jetpack, great way to reposition, or to get into really nice sniping spots. Or even into places where enemies cant get you
Yeah, not many sniper spots in the jungle, but loads in the desert and rock worlds that would be good for the jetpack!

Love the off-meta loadout. Personally used the anti-materiel rifle until 20 but I'm thinking about using it again for the style points now.
Don't get me wrong, the railgun is exactly my favourite type of weapon: high damage, piercing, charge mechanic, can kill yourself with it
But it's always neat to play the uncommon loadouts

Respect to our solo Diver Operatives, while the newer divers will harden their experience in fighting ze bugs. The 'tougher than nails' Operatives are holding the line against the expansion of the Automaton Communists.
I honestly sometimes find the bugs harder than the automatons though because they spit acid everywhere
@@malikjordan833 you will overcome this burden, rule 1: do not dive. Bile spewers can still track you if you dive and hit your toes. Instead circle em and use thick cover. For bile titans diving is a good idea to get the slow off asap.
God id be furious dying at the end like that, i know its only like 50xp and slips but guuuuh so demoralizing
