If you got 'The Pupil' title, it means that you bought for the first time a lantern from the Lantern Keeper (this info is also found in the wiki). So basically you must've gotten one of the lanterns I mentioned in the vid, but it must've been your first time getting one, that's about it x)
I'm 101% sure what you saw wasn't a lantern, it must've been an avatar accessory. Otherwise it'd be on the wiki or I'd have gotten it (at least once) after the 45k I spent. Hope this helps!
