Luckily I already got this bag! It’s tough and durable, not so much to be used when walking, but like this. Perfect! Thanks for the video! I was looking at the bag for some time thinking that it had more potential.
The bag has tons of potential. I use it a lot and for many different things which is what I was going for. 3 years later and it is still my main camera bag.
I appreciate the effort and thought that went into this video. I am a video professional and I have resisted taking professional cameras on my motorcycling adventures because it turns my vacation into a job. I have been using an action camera and a phone when on my motorcycle, but twice I have destroyed the camera in my phone. On a recent trip I wrecked my phone camera and I brought the wrong USB cable to charge my action camera batteries. I will definitely have a close look at this bag.
Brilliant system! It should work very well I suppose! It's high time motorcycle luggage manufacturers come up with something exclusively for carrying the camera on a bike! Don't you think? Preferably a tank bag, because of easier access and also it is the part which suffer least vibration and movement while riding !
Been riding around with camera gear since 2005 never had any issues with rucksack.Carry lighting gear, stands and reflectors velcro strapped to panniers
I actually bought the same bag recently for the same reason (way too much camera gear to carry 😂) Not used it on the bike yet, I found the video looking for some decent quick release straps. I didn't know about the Rok straps thanks 👍
great video man very helpful, I have a smaller camera bag with same side access thingy, I might DIY some molly on it so I can easily use some kind of straps instead of the bungee cords I already use to secure my bag on place lol
How waterproof is the backpack in reality? I understand the AW stands for all weather but doubt Lowepro considered water being blasted at the pack at 130kph
I live in California, so I don't really have opportunities to test this thoroughly. However, I have been caught in one downpour and it held adequately. Sorry I can't be of more help.
These are called ROK Straps, and they're sold pretty much at every motorcycle store in the United States. They're really good and come in different sizes. People use them to carry tires, boxes, bags, etc.
@@xplor236 Thanks for that. I have a KTM Superduke GT and I don’t think it’s as easy to mount a big bag compared to yours? Also I’m wondering how the rain cover fits whilsts strapped to the bike? Usually they fit via elastic with fits over the bag but with the bag strapped to the bike wouldn’t it prevent that causing the cover to slip off? Here’s a video I took of my bike a while ago. Fitting a big bag to a sports rear seat would be a challenge. ruclips.net/video/PlaIRNz7GLY/видео.html

I have the exact same backpack. I carry it inside the Givi top case and its working fine until now. Nice video!!!
Super helpful video, thanks!
Any thoughts on vibration? Can it kill a camera?
It can and that's always a concern. Fortunately, nothing has ever happened to any of my cameras.
I' have a question : Can Motorcycle's vibration Damage a DSLR Camera ?
Beautiful Corbin seat you got there
Its a great seat. Still have it. Works great for longer distances.
Hahahahaha, I am just looking at that bag (LowePro 450 AW) and thought, this could be perfect for motorcycle.

Very helpful video. I’m curious. Where did you get those long straps from?

@@devonbiker I think there are smaller versions of this bag. You can use the ROK straps and tie them down to the frame in the back.
So after 5 years, did the vibrations do any damage to your camera or lenses...
Works like a charm! I haven't been riding much lately though, so I'd say that for at least 4 years it was fine.
@@xplor236 thanks
I really want to bring my R6 on my adv bike, but I'm so paranoid about shaking the shit out of it that I haven't yet.
Me too, canon R7 , 100/ 400 L
Did he ever reply?
@@five5over I replied to another comment with the same concern. Hope that helps!
