Actually, "On October 1, 2010, UAL Corporation completed its acquisition of Continental Airlines and changed its name to United Continental Holdings, Inc. The airline received a single operating certificate from the FAA on November 30, 2011." Just look it up. It's on Wikipedia as well as the AP
I wonder if other Star Alliance members have recently ordered the 787. I know that ANA was the first airline in the world to use it, and Air New Zealand has some on order.
No I agree, I wouldn't step on United. There are only a handfull of airlines I actually would fly and dozens I'd avoid. I'd never fly anything Russian, African, American, Chinese or Korean. Qantas, BA, Virgin, Singapore, Emarites, Ethiad and Lufthansa only. Safety is imperative.
QueenE Jj I don’t believe United has had any incidents with the Dreamliner yet. When they learned about the problem regarding batters they had them all replaced by Boeing. So technically this is one of the safest planes in the sky. Regardless of airline in the United States, training is strict here for pilots and ensures you have the best chance of getting where your going safely.
..and guess what? United Airlines' customer service still sucks, and their prices are higher than other airlines! BUT, look at the shiny new expensive plane!
This is the super great aircraft in this year. Congrats to Boeing from Indonesia.
This 787 is a new breed indeed!

Wow! They merged smart one. Continental's CEO even runs the airline.
Actually, Continental bought out United but kept the (more marketable and internationally recognized) United branding.
Anybody know when United starts flying the 787 Denver - Narita route?
My mom is an flight atendentt for united and I've been on the dream liner 31 times
nice
That's why I call the airline United Continental when talking about it in private.
just wondering like what. what did airbus bring long ago that boeing just bring.
2012 2023 United Is Sad😭😭
2:58 I want to pilot that plane!
United was not the first airline in the U.S. to purchase the 787. Contientnal was the first.

Boeing and Airbus or life
in a world where government bails out failure, having a good company doesn't matter. The world is upside down
United bought out Continental
pff, check Turkish Airlines's planes.
Not impressed, just another piece of machinery.
It would be great to ride in them, but I never see a big deal.
