Once again you've made me feel okay about my paintings not being perfect. I am that person that wants it all to "be right". This has really helped me accept my flaws and remember that just like nature, I am okay the way I am. Thank you.
Thank you for another challenging Challenge! I enjoyed the many layers, the sunrays and the addition of the branches at the end. Great call! I learned patience and being comfortable when things aren't working out. I'm getting much better at improvisation!
I really love the way you challenge me with these paintings. I know I am learning and still feeling good inspite of the mess I have created in my paintings. Thank you!
I think it turned out awesome!! You didn’t panic and got creative. I love the branches coming out from the side!! It really makes it very interesting!!
You are gradually letting me relax into my painting and when I made a mess and was despondent I had the courage to just play and try some things out, thinking that ..well,I cant make it any worse! It doesn't matter. And to my surprise I made it much better. I added little branches and deepened and also continued lifted some areas with your "thirsty" brush.
I am loving this series. I appreciate that you don't refilm if you've made a mistake and embrace the messiness and give good tips on how to make the best of it if we slip up :)
I am enjoying these videos so much! My husband even commented as he was listening to you that this was good for my perfectionism. Haha, but he is right. Thank you for making us realize it's okay to feel uncomfortable in the creative process.
Oh wow...such a realistic and amazing piece to paint a sunlit forest.Especially the color choice is brilliant and love the simple techniques you painted to make this a masterpiece.Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial dear kolbie. Can't wait for the next two days of your amazing creations.😍🤩🤗❤💕😊
I really love layered landscapes and I especially love that you show the things you don't love and how to improve the painting - that's how we all learn!
I’m discovering just how hard it is for me to embrace the chaos and when to stop painting and embrace the finished product instead of just adding and adding and then being unsatisfied with too much paint. Thanks for pushing me out of my comfort zones! Learning so much this last week
I love this effect. Adding those dark thin branches at the end was inspired. It makes my painting POP! Sunlight rays need work for me though. But still proud of myself. Thanks.
I love the sun rays and I am excited to practice this technique. I think I have gotten caught up choosing a project that is more than I realize I am biting off. I have finished a few of the ones I was behind on and am so happy that I did not give up feeling like I should have been done already. Thank you for doing this challenge.... I see my growth happing already.
I've never been very patient with trying layers with watercolours. But you simplify the process so nicely that it's hard not to follow your techniques.i haven't done all the days but I learnt a lot from the ones I did try! Thank you! It helps to see you making mistakes as well and accepting effects that you didn't quite have in mind.
You are so right! I didn’t think this was going to turn out at all but the finished product is OK. I am learning a lot through these tutorials thank you so much!
I love that you make us feel ok with our work not being pristine ! I have wanted to learn how to paint the sun rays, and this has really helped me. I’ve enjoyed this challenge !
I would have never dared to attempt this type of landscape scene. It was super interesting to learn the steps to achieve sunlight piercing through the trees. Thank you for another great lesson :D
You make it look so easy! The layers drive me crazy some days waiting for them to dry but I love how you’re teaching in each project the patience to layer up
I am more confident and comfortable with exploring and making mistakes. I am enjoying the process and look forward to more and more challenging techniques. These videos are so helpful.
Your positive, encouraging mind set is very helpful to me! I see scenes like this frequently in the area where I live and have wanted to try painting them; you are giving me the little boost I need to give it a try. Thank you!
I love the way your sun rays turned out in the end. Mine are not looking great so far. This will be a great one to keep practicing! Thanks for the video!
I've done all the challenges so far. I am not a loose painter so this has really been a lesson for me. I might not be such a realism painter I thought I was. I kind of love this thank you so much!!
I was very disappointed with my painting today but after talking through it with a friend who is also doing this challenge I was able to find a better appreciation for what I’ve learned and knowing what I would do differently next time!
This was so great. I love the sun rays. I've always been curious about how to get that effect. You make it look so much easier than I expected. Thank you for all of the wonderful lessons
Kolbie, you inspired me in getting started with landscape painting (from The Happy Ever Crafter landscape painting tutorial). I love your simplified tutorial. Thank you very much ❤️❤️
This whole challenge has been incredibly informative and inspirational so far. I'm always so excited to see what the next day holds... also kind of sad that there are only a few more days left.
Thank you so much for putting these videos together - they're great! I'm not keeping up with one a day, but am planning to still do them all eventually :)
What color did you add to the payne's gray for the 4th iteration of trees? Beautiful and inspiring work. I am learning so much. It's lovely when you add what colors you are mixing.
Despite your misgivings, it looks very cool to me! This'll be an interesting adventure when I get to it-- I'm still struggling with your Mountain Meadow.
A mess was definitely made on this one, haha! But I got to try a few new colors of a palette I recently bought and that was so fun to incorporate them into this piece! These colors ended up making the final piece a little darker than your final result but I kinda liked that. Gave it a more fall vibe which I feel aligns perfectly with it being October!

I love this sunlit tree painting, always love the light element, just make it look so special. Thank you Kolbe.
"Tolerating discomfort" words to live by with watercolor!

So far this was my favorite - with lots more paint and options to go back in and add more paint

You have taught me that my paintings should not always be perfect. Thank You!! I can't believe it's already day 8. I loved this challenge.
What I’ve learned most throughout this challenge is how to cultivate a healthy mindset! So thank you, Kolbie! ❤️
You are so right! I didn’t think this was going to turn out at all but the finished product is OK. I am learning a lot through these tutorials thank you so much!

Kolbie, Working with you is wonderful and I’ve seen incredible personal and artistic growth in just a few days. Thank you!
Thank you for all the tutorials! Love the trees. You give me motivation to try and not beat myself up because it’s not perfect.
You’re the best: a teacher should guide students and let them learn how to live bravely their creativity. You always manage to do it! ❤️
I am more confident and comfortable with exploring and making mistakes. I am enjoying the process and look forward to more and more challenging techniques. These videos are so helpful.
Love the depth here and gorgeous sun rays peeking through. These textural pieces are a great way to work on my patience skills, too!
Your positive, encouraging mind set is very helpful to me! I see scenes like this frequently in the area where I live and have wanted to try painting them; you are giving me the little boost I need to give it a try. Thank you!

I love how you use layers in your paintings. I'm learning a lot about patience!
I really loved this one! It was so fun to paint and I really enjoyed lifting those sun rays.
Nice job painting sunlit trees! Nature is perfectly imperfect! It’s all okay, and that’s alright!
My chaos never quite came together on this one, but I still really enjoyed trying! Thank you for making it even seem possible to try this!
I just love how you created those luminous sunbeams! Thank you for sharing your process, as always!!
Absolutely LOVED this one. It’s soooo pretty
fascinating to watch the layers become more and more "real." Also a good lesson in the value of creativity and messiness!
Fun project - I love the sunlight.
It is a beautiful piece! It is great that you explain what you think is an issue and how to fix it.
I was very disappointed with my painting today but after talking through it with a friend who is also doing this challenge I was able to find a better appreciation for what I’ve learned and knowing what I would do differently next time!
I'm over halfway done with this one and hope to finish it tomorrow. I'm glad to have more practice with trees.
I love the journey though this painting and how honest you are in teaching it. It gives me hope that sometimes my messes may turn out okay :)
My favorite part was the tiny branches you added at the end!
Working on this one tonight! I love your honesty and how you don’t have to have everything perfect! Thank you for your wonderful lessons!
Another great class. Lots of details well explained. Can't wait to do this once I am at home. Thank you for being so real.
I like your Loved and Learned sections. It gets me to start thinking about my work differently.
I am really starting to understand what you mean now by painting in layers. Thanks for another great tutorial.
I'm a couple of days behind! But can't wait to try this. Love the techniques that brings the sun rays into the picture.

Thank you for doing these, Kolbie! I've never worked with water color before so I'm learning a lot.
I love this enchanted forest! And the rays of the sun are very realistic. I would like to realize this landscape one day 😍

Ohh such an ethereal piece. Cannot wait to paint it myself.

Sunlight is something I really struggle with. Thanks so much for this tutorial 💜
thanks Kolbie, my attempt was a complete flop but I liked all the new techniques i learned such as the sun ray effect!
Mais um trabalho lindo, aprendendo muito com você. A luz natural que você fez ficou mágico. Gratidão 🌻
This was definitely the most challenging one yet. Still figuring out how to best use my white gouache.
Love all the inspiration!
Love this one! Can’t wait to try myself ❤️ Sofar I finished 1-7, and commited to paint all 10 of this challenge 👍🏻
Thanks for embracing imperfect! I have to learn that myself :)
Sunlight is definitely hard and scary for me so excited to practice this one!
Gorgeous! I'm really enjoying the 10 day challenge. Thank you
This was good to see you figure out changes as you painted. I.e, adding gouache & branches.
What color did you add to the payne's gray for the 4th iteration of trees? Beautiful and inspiring work. I am learning so much. It's lovely when you add what colors you are mixing.
