Looks like someone has broken into the ground during the night and tried to recreate the 18th hole at Carnoustie in front of Wimbledon’s goal mouth area 😮
building a stadium in a regular flooding spot .... peekachu face "OMG IT FLOODED"... at the public inquiry into the ground being built i guess the concerns that were ignored about flooding really should have been listened to.
AFC/Galliard Homes/Merton council…. “Let’s just ignore the environmental agency and build on a 3B designated functional flood plain zone”, …. then are shocked when it floods!!!
This club doesn't have much luck! Relocated to Milton Keynes, spend years rebuilding a brand new club, years trying to return to plough lane, now this happens, poor poor fans! Hope it gets resolved soon AFC Wimbledon fans 👍
What do you expect when "AFC/Galliard Homes/Merton council" ignored the environmental agency and built on a 3B designated functional flood plain zone, …. this will happen every few years, the old Dog stadium that was previously on the site was always flooding.
Do better London come on first old trafford and now Wembley ? You guys are one of the biggest football stages in the world and your stadiums are showing the ugly under belly of Londons corrupt pocketing of money by politicians and officials cuz these stadiums should be top notch with finely tuned pitch’s and you would never see this on a NfL friend or NBA/NHL court or ice rink never those places are treated like royal courts and managed like them to so London you guys need to do better and expect more from your team/stadium owners
You are talking out of your ar$e. What is wrong with Wembley? I work at a lot of smaller grounds and their pitches are normally great but sometimes difficult to get turf to grow in our dank weather so can sometimes be patchy even using artificial lighting. You would never see this in an NFL ground because you guys use fake grass.
It's a golf course now.
get bale to help invest
I'm struggling to tell what's happened to the pitch, obviously flooding, but what's been brought up, is it built with sand underneath or something?
sandcastle by the looks of things
Basically every professional football pitch is turf on sand.
Newcastle will give them the gate receipts from the rearranged tie hopefully
It was said that Wimbledon will probably get at least 45% of the ticket revenue.. if it's true... then it's good for Wimbledon FC...
@@layartancep9263 It's AFC Wimbledon.
@@gregkiteos1936 Thank you for the correction
Yes and our club nufc have also added to your campaign fund with a donation....

That's like an unfitted carpet 😮
When it was the Greyhound stadium, the car park was famous for flooding!!!
yep... AFC/Galliard Homes/Merton council…. “Let’s just ignore the environmental agency and build on a 3B designated functional flood plain zone”,
Oh Jesus. I’ve never seen the grass get ripped off by flooding.
Great golf course
When did pitches stop being soil with real drainage?
