Remember these 2 rules for hexa decimal addition
1. If the result is less then 16,write that digit as the sum for that position.
2. If it is greater then 16, subtract 16 from it to get the digit and carry 1 to the next digit.

@The information channel 9+9=18 and 18=1*16+2 , so carry part is 1 and sum is equal to 2. Again on adding 9+8+1(carry)=18 so again sum will be 2 and carry is 1. Again adding 8+1+1(carry)=10 which is equal to 10 in hexadecimal system. so answer is A22.

Tip for multiplication and addition
(a*b)%r==sum and (a*b)/r==carry
(a+b)%r==sum and (a+b)/r==carry
For subtrraction just remember that the carry is r always.

ANY numerical system ADDITION:
if the sum of two digit < base
we put it as it's.
else (the sum of two digit >= base)
we put the REMAINDER of (sum/base) in the result.
and the carry is the (sum/base) integer.

so basically if sum exceeds 15 convert number into hexadecimal . Then the remainder is written. down as the sum and quotient is the carry then repeat process when needed and finally convert each digit to its corresponding hexx valuehex
