Hence my suggestion to do a short straightforward utilitarian demonstration and instruction on how to get it, set it up, and use it. It can be used to model your different options for an antenna and get a fairly good idea which option is going to perform best, depending on your goals. Much more efficient than trial and error construction.

Several months ago, I met a rather personable and attractive waitress at a dinner that I occasionally frequent. At the end of my meal, she brought me the check and a slip of paper with her phone number and a note that read: "Call me sometime" The following day, we exchanged pleasant text messages. Not receiving a reply in what seemed an inordinate amount of time, I checked my last message. Thanks to autocorrect, I proudly informed her, with great conversation I might add, that I was a "homeless romantic".
Hi dave , which would you chose for grounding wire to the earth rod . I have 1inc wide copper strap, or 24 wire braided, I have both, but would appreciate your advice, Thanks dave, regards Antony England.. Ps the earth is for my hifi,
Not Dave, but I'll offer advice. If you are grounding for lightning protection or for RF grounding, use the 1 inch wide copper strap. If you are concerned about power supply grounding or audio frequencies, the 24-wire braided would be adequate. Having an earth grounding rod for hifi strikes me as a bit excessive, but if you are having a problem it might be worth a try.
There is nothing too wow about Fortran, in fact it is still use today in scientific computing mostly because the language has so many restrictions that it is difficult to write a poor performing program with it. My first job out of college was in a Cray Super Computer shop and a good friend, who was a program optimization expert, told me that life is too short too short to write code from scratch and you always start with something that already exists and works.
It depends if you want efficiency or integrity on the front end or the back end. Too many cooks in the kitchen vs. mass consumption - it's a balancing act. 73
Looking forward to your future Antenna engineering video (EZNEC tool) how-to video
Me too! This software has always much mystified me.
Hey Dave, happy new year! It may be interesting if you do a comparison to MMANA. Just a suggestion.

Yay! Can't wait for the model of the simple dipole.... can you make it on 20M Please??? Thanks Dave... W1SWL
What book Do you recommend for a beginner

I have EXNEC and could never figure out how to use it, at all

Maybe you should have gotten EZNEC!

We should have never mentioned the lamp. I'm a tad sad, now.

@@BryanTorok appreciate all advice, the ground rod should give me a quieter background, same as what it does for the radio, regards and thanksyou...
