- Here's another gut-wrenching example of why proper safety equipment should be your FIRST priority when you're building a race car. We were SHOCKED to see how intact the cab was after rolling SIX times! We're so glad you walked away Troy!

9:01 just if you're curious
Lowki Based “Mach one” says you’re a ford guy 😂😂😂
Aaron Rodriguez beat me to it lmao
You bro... your a real 1.
Thanks man
Thanks, I honestly didn't want to see anything else
Cleetus with another record.
1st GM stick shift car into the 7s and now...
1st car to run 9 seconds with a Kayak on top of the car. 😁
Still getting smoked by hondas
REPTILIANMAN 626 mostly because the car will break something when he races a Honda
@@kamplayz3784 all I see is excuses
Crash @9:00
I actually doubt that, i'm SURE someone in the UAE has strapped a kayak ontop of a 2000hp gtr at some point.
that rear axle is probably in orbit, that thing FLEW
I was watching in all the angles to see when/where it landed. I don't think it did
If it had tripped the timer he might've won
Dude, that's a decently heavy chunk of metal too. Tossed it in the air like it was nothing.
@@zxggwrt new strategy: eject parts ahead of you to trip the lights
YAAAA YEEEET
The word around town is that his rear axle made it to pueblo before he did......
That's really good. I legit laughed.
Thank GOD Troy was ok and ultimately uninjured from that wreck! I can't wait to see him and his team back at the track with their new build soon!
Breaking it just means he gets to build a faster one. Walking away intact lets Troy start the project sooner. Eager to see their next ride myself.
The Weapon Collection ... his head was touching the cage during regular driving. Clearly you aren’t a fabricator but that’s NOT how you build a cage. He’s lucky he didn’t end up in the hospital with major brain or head injuries.
Prime example of the importance of a correctly built roll cage. Glad he's OK.
Yeah but his head was touching the roof, Before the accident. Not a great built car. He is so lucky that car didnt land on the roof harder
@@danielssonsgarage Agreed if not for the roll cage though I fear he may have broken his neck. There should have been more to the car. But I won't Monday morning Quarterback this topic.
@@Mikey6048 yeah the rollcage def saved him. But it coyld have been better
Anton Danielsson yeah, without proper harnesses holding you in place it’s very easy to be killed in a very well done caged car.
Mikey6048 without proper harnesses it’s very easy to be killed in a car with even a very well built roll cage. Tbh this car isn’t even up to safety regulations. It just has a rollcage and none of the other required features to run down track.
Omg. That's just sad. So glad he survived. This is fun but the saftey is definitely in place for these reasons
That track was so sketchy
@@kiwicami287 that track is what they would say slicker then a babies bottom .
@@kiwicami287 yeah. I think that's why cleetus didn't really turn up Leroy or ruby. That track definitely wasn't good for big hp stick car. I lost my breath when that guy stopped flipping and his hands where folded over. He looked like he was out
Amazing how the roll cage kept the car intact and the driver safe.
@@drivewaymarvels311 definitely is the best saftey feature.
Glad Troy is okay. He's a great guy, and his car insane

man cleetus ruined his time with that kayak 😂😂 you can see it lifting up towards the end of the run lol
Its just the eagles doin' thier thing.
He knew that it wasn't going to be a record pass he had the boost way downbut yeah it made his horrible aero that much worse lol
Sometimes you just gotta enjoy the ride.
He took it off to make a legit run. But he said track conditions sucked, so aero didnt make much difference. But he was having fun which is what it's all about!
Raúl his aero is already not great. It didn’t affect it hardly at all.
Ouch! Always hurts to see a nice ride get rolled
That G8 is sick best color for sure for that car
Always nice to see a roll cage work!
Look at the inside of that thing! It's like nothing happened. Who ever did that, fucking hats off!
@@ginosanchez1569 What G8?
Mannard Mann not when they were just in that car being reckless doing accelerations without the passenger having a seatbelt. It’s actual perfect, because it proves how fucking stupid everyone on this channel is. They are going to kill themselves, it’s only a matter of time. Every single video they are avoiding every safety regulation like they are trying to die. His vette doesn’t even have a roll cage and iany car under 11 is required to run with a roll cage. I can promise you, that vette chassis will crush and immidiately kill the occupants. That and no rollcage, so no harness, stock seatbelt. He’s literally trying to commit suicide on RUclips.
That guy is a beast...
Wanted to rebuild to race the next day.. 🤘🤘🤘
REAL racer!! Lol
💪
Not gonna lie it was very do-able with the amount of people that was there just hangout after there runs before heading out or just watching and parts could’ve been sourced
He was already had a eligible pass Because he broke beams
@16:36 omg this should have been the thumbnail instead of the crash lol! 🤣🤣🤣👍 i can't believe that!
Probably thought that was the gas.
Hmm sometimes the cable slips out or rope breaks on a violent bump.... her cable seems to come from under the truck so it more than likely just slipped out on the bump is my guess. Such a wicked truck and driver, would have been interesting to know what it would have gone with it open. LOL For science of course.....
premature-ejection, she seemed used to it LOL.
Yeah malfunction. I'm glad she wasn't making a ton of power that pass.. could have been bad
405 Tina...love ya girl!
ah man thats heartbreaking seeing that twin turbo model A wreck like that. One of my favorite cars this year. Glad driver is ok
OMFG I WAS TALKING TO HIM IN NEBRASKA AND HE SAID HE CANT TURN IT UP TO MUCH CUZ ITS TO LIGHT 😳😳😳
OMFGHOLYSHITWTFSOMUCHCAPS
Now it's really light.
21:54 when you discover your English teacher is a moonlight drag racer.
Everytime that yellow mustang makes a pass I get a heartattack, it's pretty sketchy.
Also amazing to see what a rollcage can survive.
Funny, sometimes you roll your eyes at the strict cage requirements (I SERIOUSLY need THIS weld?!?!) until you thank God for the cage requirements.
That runway, it's the American version of Cootamundra Kyle. 👍
This one is prepped, Coota is not.
If I ever hit powerball, Im making the owner an offer he cant refuse, that place is beautiful.
9:01 And that's why kids roll cages are so important
Aswell as hans devices.
Meanwhile Belgium: its illegal to have a full roll cage in your car, and if you want one, it can only be a half cage, bolted. Welded half cages are also illegal. Reason? There's some stupid woman that is the minister and she think "if it's not stock it's not safe"
@@bmwe3945 Wow that's really irresponsible of her...someone needs to show her literally any car crash with a full cage installed, saves so many lives in the hobby.
@@Simmonsumers35 that b*tch is beyond saving, big brake kit? illegal. Engine tuning in whatever form? illegal. New radio unit? You need to reapply the car for the yearly check, and apply for a "tuning-check" and pay for an additional piece of paper which you always need to have with the papers of the car stating that your radio is changed. Cost of all this nonsense? 88 euro.
Obviously 2/3 of everyone who mods their cars in Belgium give her the midle finger.
The road tax is based on how much hp you have, the co2 emission and the cc of the engine, so if you have more power you get more taxes (a 1997 bmw 528i is taxed at 1k euro per year, 340 euros more than that very same car is taxed in the Netherlands.).
So if you have more power, it's basically tax evasion. Not that anyone cares, if they can't see it they can't let it fail on the test nor give you a fine.
The fines do go up to 60k euro or 6 year prison, but no-one ever gets caught. It's just an inconvenience everyone has to deal with
Oh and the minimum ground clearance is 11 cm, but you can pass with a minimum of 9cm because that's also a law (because springs decrease in height over time or some bs). And if you have coilovers, you need to have special papers that they are suitable for your car and you can only set the cars alignment to stock. Needless to say, you raise it up to 11cm for the check, pass it, and the mechanic will probably say "now you can lower it" or something (that happens like every year to me)
@@bmwe3945 Hope you can get someone with a brain next time, lol.
Hope Troy is doing okay that was a pretty rough roll, Cleetus with the Kayak just made me laugh and fear more again for drivers safety. Stay whole guys, love your vids as a collective and your work!
Cleetus is not 1320!! Been long gone
No bullshit I watched this video on my break at work today and on my way home tonight I seen Troys car on the Denver highway on the trailer! Made sure to stick my hand out out the window and let him know he's gnarly af! Glad the man is okay
The first 10secs of this video and my heart sank. Glad he walked away and sorry about your car dude!!
9:21
"Oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit No no no no no NOOOO no"
KYLE: "oh boy oh no no no no no NOOOO no no no"
"It's like deja vu"
Props to who built that cage 🙏🏽
Cars feel safer with a cage in them than without, and that wreck proved it.
That car is home built, Troy is a great fabricator.
__Devyn__ Nuanes Wrong, the driver was lucky to walk away without major head or brain injuries. This cage was built, not great, but to the STANDARDS required to race. However it was WAY low as your driver should NEVER have his head touching the roll cage or roof during regular driving. This cage was not built and fitted to the driver correctly whatsoever.
Wow that roll cage did great!!
That hurse has got to be one of the coolest racecars I've ever seen I love it. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite cars.
Benjamin Burton coolest car on RMRW in my opinion
HUGE props to whoever built the rollcage on that car. It did it's job and nothing less.
THATS SOME BULL HES HAD THAT RAT ROD SINCE 2007 AND HAS BEEN BUILDING IT FROM SCATCH HE SAID I FEEL SO BAD AND ALL MY PRAYS GO OUT TO HIM GET WELL SOON😭😭
He should be proud of his cage build and safety awareness. Absolutely saved his life. Glad he’s ok. So sad to to see it smashed up though. I bet he comes back stronger.
Thank goodness Troy is ok. That was scary. Cleetus is a lunatic running with the kayak. Hilarious! Great work per usual 1320!
IM GLAD THE MAN THAT FLIPPED HIS CAR WAS NOT HURT. GREAT FOOTAGE AND INTERVIEWS. I WISH I HAD A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF HOW THIS EVENT WORKS AND WHY THE RACERS WERE NOT STAGING AT THE SAME TIME IF THEY ARE IN THE SAME CLASS. EITHER WAY IM ENJOYING WATCHING.MY FATHER DRAG RACED IN THE 70s AT A LOCAL TRACK WHEN I WAS A YOUNG BOY AND IVE LOVED FAST CARS EVER SENCE.
That was a badass ride. Brought a tear to my eye
9:33 if you saw those rear wheels coming at you 😲😱
Underground Outlaws
The entire rearend went flying off into oblivion.
I love it that you take rides in the deferent cars. Pretty cool💪👍👍 kayak @9 second pass. Another world record 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hate seeing that model a all waded up
nothing at loss, probably had a damn GM under the hood and all repop panels
@@zuestoots5176 so? Still a nice car that was running decent times. Thats like a shelby cobra kit car only 20,000 bucks with a modern 427 would still hate to see one flipping threw the air like that. Just cause its not original 1930s model a doesnt mean it wasnt worth some money
I really liked that hot rod. I hope the guy is ok and he can rebuild it.
Prayers to him.
The car has been trying to kill him this week, did you hear he lost it in the rain almost rolled it then he was up on two wheels.
The guy that rolled the coupe will probably run a HANS, funny cage, and arm restraints in the rebuild. There were at least two really big hits while he rolled where he could’ve been more secure in that seat. Luck guy. Glad it wasn’t worse!
Thanks for the content 1320 🤘🏽
I figured the commo would be the one to spin out 😂😂😂
Lol mustangs bro mustangs...
🤣🤣🤣
That's exactly the reason I get nervous when Cleetus stays in it when he's completely sideways just for the time..he must feel pressure from the half a million plus people that watch every video to do well in everything he does.. he's human just like everyone else he's just a damn good wheel man..
Leroys less prone to that because of its low center of gravity. There is a reason why modern drag cars tend to be lower and abandoned gasser style cars with high centers of gravity.
Tina is the only real racer form street outlaws she's at all the events and drives her truck there... that's one badass woman!!!!!
Bill Duguay she’s not really apart of them I get what your saying though. I feel like the rest of them have gotten money hungry and only wanna show up when they’re getting paid. I know when doc and Monza, boosted came here to NC they wouldn’t race anyone unless they had a garuanteed win. They tried to pull that shit with my cousin and when he wouldn’t do it all of a sudden the race was called of but they ended up running someone else.
@@Tanner-bg2qn Did they accuse him of having a "Pro Mod" too? That's an old trick of their's- anytime they are scared af to race someone it's "because it's a Pro Mod"... They have caused this word to be the most misused word in racing today. Fucking reality TV
Bill Duguay it’s race week.... you can’t compete if you don’t drive you car to every track..... smh 🤦♂️
@@joshlarochelle1298 um drag week sir
i stand corrected wrong race sorry
That was a rough wreck! I’m glad that dude is ok! Lots of money and time but WAY better than planning a funeral. Thank dog for roll cages and other safety equipment.
Obviously kyle recognizes garrett has surpassed his own popularity since every possible video features garret's builds.
I love how Tina's roll cage is fully contained in the cab unlike the regular cabs with diagonal bars going through the rear "glass" just ruining any sleeper aspect they had going. Colorado's and Canyons are affordable but the rare ones that came with the all aluminum L33 5.3L V8's are still expensive when searching Auto Trader. I want an extended cab like Tina's but 4WD so I could dominate dig's on the street.
Poor guy almost rolled his trailer in the rain storm the other day and now that damn poor guy is not having the best of luck but he's lucky to walk away and that's all that matters
79tazman being on two wheels and less, two times in one week is to much for anyone.
Cleetus our there breaking records 😂 Dude is just have ton of fun, can’t wait to watch their video here on a bit
i honestly didnt expect cleetus to be running the damn kayak
He’s always goin have that pictured in every race for now on I can’t never get that out of ur mind .... I remember me rolling my car the first time ... I didn’t wanna get in the car again for awhile
Great coverage, quick editing, interviews were awesome. Nice Work!
I used to race a desert car back in the day & safety isn't luck. A quality chassis/cage, proper seats/belts, fuel tanks etc are life savers. There is always the unexpected, wild card accident but with proper safety equipment in the car and on your body, the odds shift drastically in your favor. The car not crushing wasn't luck, preventing fire wasn't luck, staying securely in the seat wasn't luck. He walked away because his car was set up well.
Alternating between Cleetus and 1320 .... Full Coverage 101
that wreck with the model A is why you cinch up those belts and have that approved roll bar. I am glad he is alright. That was crazy. I didn't see the actual incident on any other video so super glad you caught it. I had a Mustang wreck behind me once at the strip, that bothered me, I can't imagine it happening in front of me.
The save by the yellow GT 350 @ 18:29 was pretty impressive.
Betcha he didn't need a cup of coffee after that, to wake up. 😁
AAAAaaaaaalll the adrenaline in the world.
Tina looking all kinds of good. Where's the ride along with her?
Brian watson lol
lol
Damn. That on board was crazy !!.... Happy he's ok
It just looks like any old 9" TBH
I am so glad you are taking the time to interview the racers. It reminds me of the better days of NASCAR when the drivers weren't multi-million dollar spokesmen, just everyday people who love to race! Keep up the great work, I have been enjoying every video from race week!
The violence of that crash brought back the feelings of crashing really hard in motocross.
It always cracks me up when something this bad happens and someone says. Thank god.
It hurts is aerodynamics of your car look at the on board camera it shows the front of the car being lifted up
Ouch, been in a roll myself although nowhere near that speed. For a second I thought his wrist was snapped when you see the onboard.
Glad the safety equipment was upto spec and he's safe
That's what I thought as well. My stomach turned when I saw that limp wrist. It's hard for me to look at someone with a broken bone even though I have broke bones in my body.
Glad y'all had a camera in that truck. He looked knocked out for a second when it stopped. Looked like his hands where locked up
Glad Troy is doing good!! This is why safety is important...
The real star for me is that lady in the fox Mustang.... She is constant as hell!! Dam good driving!!
Lovin the Diesel Truck through all these videos! Hope Troy is ok! That was nasty
Yeah, and no air pollution either. So it proves you do not need to blow huge amounts of black smoke to go quick.
That A was a loose thing! Glad he is ok.
FRED is thirsty AF at 20:00 🤣
That wreck footage was on point! Glad to know he's ok
Proper safety equipment saved drivers life exactly doing exactly what it is supposed to do.
Soooooooooooooooooooo many beautiful cars. Can't wait to travel the USA! Best wishes from the Great White North!
Legend has it the rear axle is still soaring through the air.
Shows the importance of correct clearance between helmet and roof! Safety equipment always No. 1!
There's a welder out there that deserves a beer!
it's funny because cleetus and James haven't turned up Leroy or Ruby to their Max potential yet they're saving it for the final day
The track condition hasn't really allowed them to run a hot tune, they're just blowing their tires out. Cleetus actually had to lower his tune to get a better time on his second pass.
They want them both to make it to the end, don't they. Leroy needs to be turned down or it breaks shit every 2nd pass... 😅
@@tacojay5617 They're not turning it up on the big end either. They're being conservative to make it to the end- what everyone has to do unless they're car is built to a higher standard using big dollar parts and of coarse either a built auto or proper race trans like a Lenco or a Liberty or GForce built box
Daniel Brealey you realize Leroy is built with top dollar parts and is over a $300k build? And that ruby has a top dollar auto racing trans?
That orange camaro and the orange nova are beautiful cars. I don’t usually like ‘60s camaros because they’re so overdone but both those cars are freakin aswsome
pretty crazy wreck glad he's safe.
Having the Canoe on the roof of Leroy probably made it more aerodynamic
They should’ve had the kayak upside down/hull side up for that extra bit of drag coefficient. they probably gained some mpg lol
@@woddow They did. Check out Cleetus' video.
haha Cletus just don't give a Fart about aerodynamics .
Erik Balcázar aero is for garagistas who can’t build engines.
Have you seen leroy, it probably added a better slipstream 😂
@@DirtNastyCivilian Thats bullshit, Leroy would pick up about 8mph on the top end with some better aero, that 8mph would put him deep in the sevens
@@RathOX that might be true haha
@@DirtNastyCivilian well yeah, Leroy is an engine with wheels so who cares haha
Rich in his '65 GTO and Bill in his '66 Fairlane,, shifter cars X 2,, AWESUM!
Nasty crash thank God he's alright
And rollcages 👍🏻
I like that they have no walls down the track ...just like the streets we get it in on
The x on the roof saved his life , that’s why god gave us 4130
And he held on to his steering wheel. Otherwise that's amputation or at least a broken arm
Most home builds are done in 120 wall mild steel as this one is due to the bend in the top bar. That's not a bad thing, it's better to do that than use 4130 with incorrect welds.
God gave us 4130 to be welded by an oxy torch and win WW2, that's where it came from.
That said that roof bar took a huge hit once the car got airborne and landed. It was amazing how much momentum the car lost once the diff decided it was going to cross the line without the rest of the car.
@@dazaspc it was actually developed in Germany way back in the late 1800's for bicycle frames.
@@nzsaltflatsracer8054 I'm not sure about that. It was first developed as Armour plate of a sort that didn't need heat treatment. 1880's French but similar forms were used in aviation in WW1 but replaced by magnesium. It became cheap and available post WW2 in today s form as it was used extensively in aviation. I know the English started to use it for bikes in the late 20's early 30's but due to its use at Vickers mostly. It really depends on how far you let the actual make up slide Reynolds 530 has been around since the late 30's.

Welcome To The Madness once a car with that short of a wheel base breaks loose there isn’t much you can do. Hate it for him, that was an awesome build, thank god for roll cages
High center of gravity, short wheelbase, sticky tires. Recipe for a rollover.

Roll cages SAVE LIVES! This video is the proof. Without that cage he would of not been so lucky.
Viperman200221 he’s lucky to not have major head or brain injuries. You don’t build a cage that touches the drivers head during regular driving. You fit the car for the driver.
So that Rear Axle is on the way to Pluto now?!
So cool when the racecars are towin' their own tools/ parts.
We can fix it we have an awesome set of tools my dad is a TV repairman !

Best week of the year! Loving the Race Week! Thanks guys for all the awesome work you do to bring us great videos!
one time back in 2008 i flipped a Mazdaspeed Mazda 3 2.5 into a 25 foot ditch, three barrel rolls and the windows had banana peeled away from the body of the car. all 4 of us survived and to my astonishment the car didn't even get written off. G forces are fun and weird, after that crash everything felt different, I needed more. Pulling heavy G's can become an addiction.
