The soundtrack song title for both stages is "dire dire docks" So I think it is easy to get confused i.e. I am in Jolly Roger Bay but listening to dire dire docks song. Then when you think back years later after not playing you go "oh yeah I love Dire Dire Docks", thinking of the song and water levels in general.
@ That's why I don't swim deep out in the ocean or in black water. In terrified of blackness and sea creatures like sharks and other weird ones that dwell out in the deep.
@@spacedout3660 Copyright my ass! All these videogame walkthroughs with music and they don't get flagged. That's Nintendo and Disney! Must be some other stupid reason
Could it be that you're finally at the fire sea level for your second tangle with Bowser? Nice try! First you have to visit Dire, Dire Docks (At least it's another water level this time so Mario can cool off). But swim with caution! There are sharks, whirlpools, and a giant manta ray who might be even deadlier than that giant eel you've met in the last water level. Also, did you know that Bowser has this random submarine where you have to collect the star in order to unlock the Fire Sea? You didn't? Well, now you know lol.
Your walk through's have helped out a lot as I am new to this game. But you should also explain how to do long jumps as well as explain why there are no poles appearing until you defeat a different stage.
Why does everyone hate this stage? I love almost everything about it. Like how half of the stage takes place in very natural-looking water environment, but the other half is more industrial and man-made looking. I love how both halfs of the level contrast, yet still fit perfectly together theme-wise. Also most of the missions are pretty easy going, and just involve swimming through a few rings and whatnot. Sure, the red coins mission is annoying, but that's about it. I also love the passageway that leads directly back to the outside water area in Peach's Castle. It makes the stage feel more intergrated, like its an actual entension of Peache's Castle, rather than just some random place that you teleport to. Not to mention amazing, soothing music. So yeah, it's a unique enviroment, has mostly easy-going missions, great music, and actully connects to Peach's Castle. What's not to like?
Each time I go for the red coins there aren't any poles for me to grab. I'm using an emulator on my wii. I haven't gotten the 2nd key yet (meaning I haven't beaten bowser the 2nd time). The submarine is there and the platforms but not the poles. How can I get the coins? They're too far to triple jump to them or long jump to them. Anyone know a solution?
I'm able to get all except 2 red coins. The coin near the box that triggers the blue coins and the red coin to the right of it with the red corner walls surrounding the platform. I'm at 61 starts
Hey dude for some reason when I go to this level and am on the red coin star the ship does not dissapear and there are no poles so how do you get the sub to do that and the poles to appear.
Which Bowser? The first battle or the second? The latter is the one that unlocks the poles. If you've done both, you need to not select the first star in DDD, as that loads the level in its pole-less state.
One of the worst courses of probably the worst by far platform Mario game. I played Super Mario 64 only to take the challenge of completing all platform Mario videogames, but in this one the controls are very imprecise and a pain to use, especially in the water levels, and the game itself is uninspiring. As most of Nintendo 64 games, this shows the limitations of the hardware of that time to make proper 3D games. Technology simply wasn't good enough at that time to make good 3D games, resulting in disasters like this. Any other later 3D Mario is much better.
