Public transportation, and even the town I live in has bus services elderly use to ride around and do grocery shopping in. Hell, you can even order your groceries directly to your door now. 5:00 is a perfect example of how it helps to be calm even when the situation is terrible. Front doors weren't working, probably jammed if the front of the car was pushed back into the doors, and the girl panicked. Bystanders couldn't open the back doors and first instinct was to break the windows. Eventually the solution was that the girl inside needed to calm down enough to unlock the back doors and get out.
It’s pretty easy to tell someone that they need to remain calm, but it’s not that easy to manually pull yourself out of shock either. How arrogant and self centered do you have to be to sit safely on your couch behind your phone, and judge how clearly someone who just got in a car wreck is thinking? Common sense isn’t always there for some people (that applies to you by the way). You are one person. What you think, how you handle things, it doesn’t matter. Not everyone is like you. And that doesn’t make them stupid either. When something like this happens a physiological response is triggered. Physiological, NOT psychological. That means that in a lot of cases they AREN’T thinking, they’re on autopilot. Honestly, come on 😂
@@rlynn8249 I'm more pointing it out for anyone that watches this or reads this comment than the actual people in the video. Just a reminder that if someone is in a similar situation that trying to stay calm will help them. Similar to the whole mythbusters thing with a sinking car, they showed that on mythbusters and it's probably saved the lives of multiple people because when they got into the same situation they didn't panic and were able to escape. This is a good example of how even in a regular car crash it's easy for what is happening to overwhelm someone and they miss what could be a simple solution to a problem. You are correct in that this is actually a common response to a stressful situation for people. My point is that just because it's a common response and understandable, that doesn't mean that this is what you should do in this situation. But like you point out once you are in shock and panicking it's not easy to go back to being calm.
Motorcyclists are the best people that exist, thanks to them there is hope for humanity, I hope that any future motorcyclist is good... God bless you and I send you a biker hug from Argentina 🇦🇷🤝

With the sloth clip, they made two major mistakes, first of all don't turn it around if its crossing a street, take it to the side it was crossing to. Second of all NEVER relocate it, keep it where you found it unless its crossing a street then you take it to the side it was headed to. stay safe out there!
With the clip of the people getting the back tires to touch, it’s not a bad idea, if you ever went off-roading you know how to do the “bounce” technique lol, get the momentum going up and down then the driver backs up when he feels his tires touch
I think the mindset of us bikers is that it is so much easier for us to park anywhere to be out of the way of traffic and get off so it is easier to just help people in these situations.

just because the lights show up on a dashboard it doesnt mean its not the battery because it can have power to show the lights on dashboard and that but at the same time it might not have enough power to actually start the engine
8:05 alternator is dead. If your car is running and then it dies because the battery went dead, then it's always the alternator. Once the car has started, you can pull the battery out and it will still run if you have a good alternator. (For those of you who want to argue semantics, yes, I understand it's more complicated than simply pulling the battery, but my point still stands). Also, she said it's a brand new battery, which means she's been having this problem and has been misdiagnosing it for a little while. It doesn't matter how new the battery is, if the alternator is not charging the battery and running all the electronics in the car, then you will run down that battery in less than a half hour.

I was in an accident in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin, the only person who stopped to see if I was okay was a biker….i was passed by two cars and an ambulance they just smiled and waved. I felt bad that the biker felt like he needed to ask if it was okay for him to stop and help. I felt very safe and would take him stopping any day of the week.

8:05. If it’s a brand new battery, chances are it’s not dead. Just developed corrosion due to either a loose connector or there was already corrosion from the previous battery. Has happened to me twice on the trail on my atv, and my connections were tight! I always have the NOCO battery terminal cleaning kit with me, but anything that can scuff up the metal (almost anything will, it’s most likely made of Lead) will allow the power to flow properly through metal-metal contact.
If its a brand new batter, check the terminals because sometimes the man cub in the shop forgot to tighten them enough or knocked another wire loose while installing it. Could also be an issue where the battery is shorting to frame causing a continuous draw to trickle out into ground. (AKA wiring issue, which can be a nightmare.)

@ 3:50 .... This 77 year old man says that woman likely should not be driving. Her unsteadiness suggests very poor reflexes and long response times. Folks in that condition are hazards to themselves and to other drivers and pedestrians. She needs to submit to an insurance exam before someone gets hurt or killed.
This hits home for me because of one time i had to go to the doctor for my grandmother it is was not for me and i walked to the door and i heard AAAAAHHHH BAM and i went around the corner and my grandma was on the ground and i ran into the doctor's office and was like can you plz help me my grandma fell while trying to go to the doctor and the nurse was like wow what a good boy and the nurse said it was good that your grandson was there for you. I love you grandma RIP 😢
A lot of the times pleople you do never expect to be kind suprise you, I noticed that also, I'm 64 (and not very stabel) and some people complaining about the youth while they (adults, even with children in the backseat!) continue driving at a crossing path while young drivers stop so you can cross!! And people who do not fit in one of the 'boxes' set by society are kinder than those who do fit a 'box'!!! I like people who are different very much because I do not wanna fit in 'a box' neither!! 8:05. If it’s a brand new battery, chances are it’s not dead. Just developed corrosion due to either a loose connector or there was already corrosion from the previous battery. Has happened to me twice on the trail on my atv, and my connections were tight! I always have the NOCO battery terminal cleaning kit with me, but anything that can scuff up the metal (almost anything will, it’s most likely made of Lead) will allow the power to flow properly through metal-metal contact.

If its a brand new batter, check the terminals because sometimes the man cub in the shop forgot to tighten them enough or knocked another wire loose while installing it. Could also be an issue where the battery is shorting to frame causing a continuous draw to trickle out into ground. (AKA wiring issue, which can be a nightmare.)

@ 3:50 .... This 77 year old man says that woman likely should not be driving. Her unsteadiness suggests very poor reflexes and long response times. Folks in that condition are hazards to themselves and to other drivers and pedestrians. She needs to submit to an insurance exam before someone gets hurt or killed.

This hits home for me because of one time i had to go to the doctor for my grandmother it is was not for me and i walked to the door and i heard AAAAAHHHH BAM and i went around the corner and my grandma was on the ground and i ran into the doctor's office and was like can you plz help me my grandma fell while trying to go to the doctor and the nurse was like wow what a good boy and the nurse said it was good that your grandson was there for you. I love you grandma RIP 😢

A lot of the times pleople you do never expect to be kind suprise you, I noticed that also, I'm 64 (and not very stabel) and some people complaining about the youth while they (adults, even with children in the backseat!) continue driving at a crossing path while young drivers stop so you can cross!! And people who do not fit in one of the 'boxes' set by society are kinder than those who do fit a 'box'!!! I like people who are different very much because I do not wanna fit in 'a box' neither!!
