I got rid of it by myself as well, I think there are a lot of factors when it comes to psychosis like what triggered it, life experiences and age. I used to think the government was watching me and that I knew people because I listened to their music alongside a plethora of other symptoms. I had so much anxiety it was hard for me to step out of the house if I didn’t have somebody with me.
Ultimately for me a understanding of self is what got me out of it. I was stuck in that mind state for around 2 years but as time went on I worked on bettering my self increasing In knowledge. Like how to take care of my teeth/ oral health, working on my diet (no vegetarian doctrine/ high quality meats and produce). Watching what I consume on a mental level as well no tv if it wasn’t educational to some degree I didn’t watch it. I think realizing that there is a government agenda and that I wasn’t completely delusional comforted me in a way because I wasn’t crazy to feel wary about the government. The high amount of sugar we consume coupled with the vegetable oils (which oxidizes and creates free radicals in our body which can create all types of disease) in our food. The corn and soy they feed livestock which in turn feminizes men and damages us hormonally. I mean I can go on deep into this rabbit hole I think if you are trying to better yourself everything will follow suit or if you’d like to have a conversation we can. A big part of it is also recognizing your thought patterns and seeing how you are operating on a day to day to understand the dysfunction in yourself and your family and understanding (if applicable) that how you were raised plays a big part, if you are without father you may have come to terms with it but it doesn’t take away the fact that it still effects you in ways that you may be oblivious to.
So in summary working on my self is what got me out of it. If you are going through it clean your room, take out the clutter create a space that you know like the back of your hand. Start somewhere put down the weed and drugs if you do use, stop your bad habits and learn about yourself
I doubt anyone will read this but I hope my experience and message has helped you.

Hi I can completely relate. I went through traumatic life events in 2019. I lost custody of my children to the government after a nasty split from my ex. He was mentally abusive and other relationships that I had were physically abusive. I wasn't even aware I had psychosis until a few years later I started to understand it and took control. I did somewhat have to isolate myself from the world so I could re set and re asses who I could trust and who was genuinely a true friend to me. I felt very unsafe in those times it was an overwhelming feeling that I will never forget. Since then I have given myself the time to recover slowly but surely. I am careful on who I surround myself with, I have to be careful about what I watch on television(I don't watch horror or thriller films anymore) I don't go out after dark are just to name a few.
There is hope and I am not medicated . I believe that the brain can heal from trauma but you have to be mindful and patient amd surrounded by supportive people. I'm certainly not the fearless person I once was but in order to heal and manage my ptsd and the psychosis episodes that I had I no longer do certain things in life.
From time to time I get scared and fear for my safety but talking myself through it and reassuring myself is what helps.

I had Post Partum Psychosis after my second child.
It is extremely dangerous - women often kill their baby and their other children and often themselves.
They usually do not tell anyone what they are thinking - the psychosis is so real, they truly believe horrifying things.
I was fortunate that I told my sister and she insisted that I was delusional.
Harming my children was not my psychosis. I believed with my whole being that I was condemned to Hell.
I was dying - couldn’t eat and just sobbed all the time.
Finally, I was sent to a psychiatrist who diagnosed me immediately. I was put on the old antidepressants ( this was in 1981 )
    Nardil - an Mao inhibitor.
Took a month to work and ECT was being considered.
I suffered for over a month and a half till my psychosis left - had to stay on medication for 5 months.
I can only say that my suffering cannot be described in any words on this earth. No way to describe what I lived through. Simply beyond description. Without help, I would have died from an inability to eat.
I don’t know about other types of psychosis other than what I have studied as a nurse and medications used. They are extremely unpleasant. Every doctor prescribing them should go on them to see what it feels like. Then they might understand how awful they are.
Stelazine was added at the beginning and the akathisia was unbearable.
Clonazepam can control it, but no doctor will prescribe a benzodiazepine.
To all who are suffering on this link, I pray that you will find a way to deal with your psychosis. From someone who lived it and made it through.

Getting enough sleep (if you can) and eating as well as possible does help. For some the medication can help- for me it made me a zombie and it was the worse of two evils for me. I don’t really have anyone to speak to about it, I did once, I had a family, good job and a perfect partner, I had everything I could of dreamed of but when those demons in the head come for you they show no mercy do they. Everything left in tatters on the floor.

I had meth induced psychosis seven months into sobriety and it was followed by persecutory delusions. For me sobering up steadily made it better but the biggest thing that made me realize i was delusional was being convinced people were staring at me and talking about me in a restaurant and emberassing myself and my fiance by standing up and yelling at people in the restaurant. The delusions didn't go away right after but I knew they weren't real and could ignore them. What made me sort out what was real was when someone actually was being a creep and staring at me and saying messed up crap about me. I was convinced it was a delusion until he came up to me and said a bunch of heinous things. That really solidified what actions were real and what was delusion. I still struggle with it from time to time but it's not nearly as bad as it used to be.

Look into the Open Dialog approach. Psychosis is hard to treat "on your own" but that's because isolation and neglect are major causes of psychosis anyway. With the right support and acceptance by a close family or community in a loving environment, people can and do get better with little or no medication. It's not about disproving delusions, it's about understanding what they symbolize to the person and how that relates to prior emotional trauma.

Psychologists cannot prescribe medication. Clonazepam helps with akathisia, but benzodiazepines are almost impossible to get anymore because they are so addictive.
But having been through akathisia for only a month, I remember the horror 42 years later. I was put on Stelazine along with my antidepressant. It was not needed, but we didn’t find out until a month later.
I was helped with medication, but the cause of my psychosis was different. It was Post Partum Psychosis and antidepressants took it away.

In any case, doctors have no idea about root cause, and I feel like they sometimes assume stuff is psychosis even when it's way more complex... I mean, when you experience "some symptoms" but it doesn't exactly match anything anyone else talks about, but instead you get factors like existential anxiety and literally feeling some new, strong feelings, and you get psychotic symptoms only as a result of being stressed and fearful, right after falling prey to a risky belief system and also spiritual inquiries of being forced to solve existential questions, then it feels weird to just label it and shove everything in a box by taking antipsychotics and hoping they'll be your solution for the rest of the life without being able to reopen the topic and heal the mind somehow :P too bad there are no words to describe these problems, so it always feels that nobody else, not even those under psychosis, have the same problem. Luckily, people under psychosis seem to have horror stories that I never had to experience, so I have no idea what helps to whom; but one thing is definitely shared between all -- we need to avoid akathisia at all costs. Especially in long-term... If only there were alternative, spiritual healing approaches that weren't full of scams and false promises, along with risks of other natural drugs and their bad trips that can permanently destroy a sensitive person :(

Climbing like hands over one another too quick for me to get a hold of them. Everything i could get a hold of i was able to twist in a way for me to be incredibly scared of it. Also, i had somehow conviced myself the frogs in the lake were screaming at me. I took everything around me as an attack on my conciousness. The seccond time i had this it was much worse. Depends on how it began, your age, what your psychosis involves.
      Many factors.
If you have not had help yet, send me some info about yourself.
My son became delusional after a psychiatrist put him on a medication that is unknown to us.
He only went to psychiatrists because he has Tourette’s Syndrome and the Doctors at his Children’s hospital were dealing with his ADD, OCD and anxiety.
He was told that he would need to see a psychiatrist for the rest of his life.
When he turned 18, he could no longer go to the children’s Rehab where he had been going since he was 6 years old.
The Doctors at the children’s rehab got him a referral, but the referral was a year wait and then he was told they were not taking new patients.
By then he was seeing a psychiatrist at University. But that was for one year. He had to go to surgery on his knee - so had to skip Uni. Then he went to a new GP - ours had retired.
The new GP referred him to a psychiatrist.
      Worst psychiatrist ever!!!
Ruined his life. Put him on a med that caused him to deteriorate physically and mentally. He had actually become delusional on this med.
We had no idea. He became quieter, but not that one would notice.
Things happened that almost cost him his life - we had no idea what he had been thinking. We were just grateful that he was alive. But he lost 4 years of his life!!
We reported this Doctor to the Medical Association.
He was examined and questioned. He lied about everything.
And we could not even find out what medication he had been put on.
The Doctor is not obligated to tell you what is on your medical chart.
He still practices - on the “ Rate Your Doctor “ site, everyone says the same thing - totally incompetent, should not be allowed to practice Medicine; not just psychiatry, but any medicine
He should be struck off. But the Doctor’s Association believes the “ White Coat “ over patients.

Sometimes the messages make sense, as if you channel someone, other times it's just a mix or nonsense - and from anecdotal evidence we know that there are many people receiving messages asking them to hurt themselves etc. So what approach should we take? How to distinguish what is an illness? How many kinds of psychoses are there on a spectrum? Is there a kind of safe approach to avoid hurting our psyche? How much of the reality is real, given the (dangerous) synchronicities where seemingly some spirits affect the real world for you? @@houseofblues9016 through my more than 50 years of personal experience with many in my family the people that suffer the most are the ones that don't take personal responsibility and that never take the time to learn how to redirect negative energy to something positive. Prevention through education in the information age is the answer not big pharma and the broken medical system.

I'm sorry but this stuff should be like mandatory to confess to someone you're coming into a serious relationship with. I don't want these genetics in my offspring. Sorry that is cruel and cold to say but we have enough violently crazy people in the world....

You can try your best to raise perfectly healthy kids but if you can't even be open minded to the possibility that your children may develop mental and physical conditions, then don't even be a father.
It's so weird to call your children 'offspring' too.

    • @Don-zi2ze
      @Don-zi2ze Год назад +2

This is definitely a result from upbringing so if you raise your kids in a healthy space filled with love understanding and encouragement then the problem of them developing anything like this will decrease indefinitely.

Hopefully, everyone looking for a serious relationship will be transparent about their lives. This includes you.
There’s never a guarantee that the state of one’s health will not fluctuate. If you’re fearful of your “offspring” having a mental illness, you may need to consider not having children at all.
Lastly, there’s a difference between psychosis, psychopathy, and violence. It’s worth learning.

My bf is going through it right now. I didn't know anything about this. For a whole year he would say i hacked his phone or I might be cheating on him. I thought he was just talking rubbish and being insecure. But recently he lost his job and other problems occured. It was bad. For the first time I was lost for words i didn't know what to communicate. He hated me and asked me to leave. Its heart breaking it took a weak to heal but I still cry about it and wondering if he'll ever want to be with me again
