You actually could use Rage/Berserk in the final boss's final stage. Or Mind Screw some bosses to get a funny response. It's kinda fun that even Blood Omen 2 had more variety in combat than Defiance. Even when half of the skills didn't work well on enemies.
ok, so at the Sebastian boss fight i have a problem, when i posses the human i cant do anything with it, it just stands in one place and keeps yelling for help, so basically im stuck. Does anyone know a fix for this?
basically vampires use to not have the blood curse that they have and they were waring with the vampires, the Hlyden that is, because the Hlyden believed that their god was a parasite, or something like that cause of their "technology prowess(he was just look at both the soul reavers and defiance) so in the tail end of their ancient war they were banished and befell the curse onto the vampires as a final like "fuck you go to your god now when ur immortal assholes"
This game deserve a remake in hd best vampire game

The stubborn refusal to use Mist to sneak up on the first boss in phase 2 was hilarious.
Fun fact: If you play this game on the Xbox 360, Kain tends to spin and stop randomly during cutscenes.
The fact that the Marcus boss fight use to scare me when I was a kid is hilarious lol love this game I wish it would receive a remake

I used the checkpoint exploit as a kid to see, it only goes up about 3 times more then if you were to play normally 😂

Defiance's camera was so annoying that I abandoned playing it and watch walkthrough instead.

Do you get new powers after every boss fight?
Yeah, every boss has an unique ability and after they are defeated you absorb that new skill

No, they are different characters and deadly enemies to each other.
Hyldens are some alien ancestral race, the same as the vampires, and they have been fighting for centuries.

I love this game but the boss battles are very weak. Probably the least good thing about the game. Still I love the story and dialogue.
