Oh WOW! Really looks good. Now get the front windows tined to almost match the back ones and that will really even out the look. Even though my Alto Blue is already dark, I think having the same color on the pillars as the truck will look good even better. Thanks for doing this Tim and Sarah.
😊 Love the Maverick Monday videos. The rare chance to see in a different medium what people can do with their Mavericks is always cool. Love the look it gives.
After looking at the before and after shots several times I think Ford knew best. On a dark color it might be okay but for a light color like my '22 Cactus Grey Maverick it's a no.
I didn't realize this was possible. I've only had my Maverick a couple weeks. I think I'll leave the vinyl on, at least until it bubbles or shows wear, given that there is no going back once off.
Totally appreciate this video but I’m undecided if I would do it. I’d like to see how it would look if the front door windows were tinted like the rear. I think it would look even better. You got me thinking. 🙏🏻
I have a Shadow Black Maverick and haven't decided if I will do it. I don't care for the look with the vinyl removed. I would go in the opposite direction. There is a natural line that goes from the back of the bed (the lower edge of the plastic) to the bottom corner of the front window. I would extend it above the vent opening and around to the nose. Then, I would paint everything above the line black on a light-colored truck. The concept is similar to but more obvious than the Heritage Edition F-150 (which I wish I had instead of the Maverick) or some of the retro F-150s you see online.
Tim, your braver than I would have been with a hair dryer to soften the vinyl just enough to peal it off without stretching or tearing. Option TB-01, no vinyl wrap on the B pillar of a Maverick Tremor. Option TB-02 is an orange stripe to match the graphics and wheel accent. I'm following the MTC threads on the feasibility of installing front tow hooks. So far it's not advisable on a hybrid while the mounting on an FX4 Maverick provides a better bracket and plate to anchor a front hook. The part number for the left is: LX6Z17A955A. The right is: LX6Z17A954B.
I think it looks better without the black vinyl.. I want to do that on my Velocity Blue Maverick.. but I already installed the Ford window deflectors last summer.. I still might try and take the vinyl off , just be really careful around the deflectors..
I have a shadow black Mav and I really like the wrap! It prevents fingerprinting of the paint, which is a problem. I wish the back door had the vinyl as well. Honestly, I don't like it without, it makes the windows look smaller, it chops up the look of the side of the truck, and it loses fluidity and continuity. With the lighter colored pillar between tinted windows it cheapens the look. My 2 cents.
Designers black out the B pillar to connect the dark appearance of the front and rear side glass for a sleeker design. Many also black out the A pillar for the same reason. Looks chopped up to see the body color on a pillar.
I guess I will be the first to say I’m not so sure about it. I think I will be leaving it on my Azure Blue Maverick. Maybe if you tint the front windows it will look better???
Another great Maverick Monday Tim & Sarah. Thanks for sharing. Question? How about leaving it on but then adding a similar textured black vinyl wrap between the rear window and the trim piece or pillar C🤔
Outasite, and I'm in NW Ohio so I either have to wait for warm weather or bring the Mav in the garage and break out the Hair dryer. Do really like the look of that and my Rapid Red FE is going to take one more step up. Do you have a recommendation for a ceramic coating material to put on it. Another GREAT Maverick Monday!!!
I liked the look of the black vinyl on it.

I think it is a good idea to remove .
WOW, Thank you.
Looks alot better to me

I prefer it ON
I think it looks good either way.
Very interesting. Might look good on my Shadow black Tremor. Might like the shine instead of the mat finish.
I wouldn't do it...I have a shadow black as well, and without the wrap there's constant fingerprinting and smudging.
@@mrmrlee I can see that happening. However I don't grab that pillar too much. Have to think about it.
@@mrmrlee did you pull your wrap off?
@@johnwayne9885 I didn't remove it, but being there's none on the rear door pillar I notice the difference when shutting the doors, different feel.
@@johnwayne9885 My natural motion is to shut the door when getting out by grabbing the pillar, it's probably a different motion for each person.

are those factory side markers where it normally says xl or xlt or larairt?
I love it doing mine azure gray lariat hybrid

Personally I think it looks better with the vinyl left on, it just looks weird and not complete or something
Looks great on a light color. Not sure much difference on a darker color. But wait! Tim, put it back on! 😂
Heck I'd even put vinyl on bottom door frame for protection. But looks ok.
Eh, I'm kinda on the fence. Not convinced it's remarkably better looking without the vinyl.
It looks good without the vinyl pillars. I’m getting a carbonized grey tremor in 2 weeks. I’m going to do the same thing.
Thanks for sharing. I am thinking about nail scratches on paint . Might have to leave it on mine. Wil stiill check it out
Is this on every Maverick?
Yes

I think I like it 🙃

Sarah is a good wing man.
I have the cactus grey. WOW. I might try this when it get warmer in Michigan 😊
I may leave mine with black exterior. Finger print don't show up as bad on the flat black than the glossy black under the wrap.

You have a much newer Maverick, will this work on even a 2022???
Yes, mine is 2023. Nothing is different in 2022 versus 2023 in regards to this vinyl being able to be removed.

I like the look with it off. On my 22' Alto blue it would be less noticeable though. Not as much contrast. Thanks for the video!
@Long McArthur: looks great! Does it leave any residue behind that needs to be cleaned? Is there a clearcoat on the paint?
no residue, the paint is exactly like the paint on the rest of the vehicle.
Hate that ford removed the key pad entry .The dealer installed glue on replacement is not hard wired
I think there was water getting in the doors that’s my explanation
I guess I will be the first to say I’m not so sure about it. I think I will be leaving it on my Azure Blue Maverick. Maybe if you tint the front windows it will look better???
On my HPR, the front windows are tinted as dark as the rear windows... So I think the wrap looks good.
On the new Mavericks I thought the keypad could be stuck anywhere and was just like a remote fob with a battery. I didn't think it was hard wired?
This is a 2023. They were hard wired and were located in the b pillar, standard on XLT and Lariat.
@@longmcarthurford Thanks for the clarification! After seeing the keypad I wasn't sure.

Why would anyone want to remove it... and actually, why would any dealer do something like that?
I like the look, and it's my personal Maverick. This was not done to a stock Maverick. -Tim
