Great video as always Alex. I would like to express some thoughts. There's another quote out there that states, "If you can't stay motivated, stay consistent". My issue is, no one has ever been able to tell me how to be/stay consistent. Being a student athlete over the years, it's all about discipline and consistency. There were days where I'd wake up before the sun was up, do conditioning and then got back home to prepare for school. I was in the best shape of my life and a great player. Starting was motivation enough, and being a captain and a key player for the team. But that was then. Now, as a full-time college student, I have no idea what motivates me, and no idea on how to stay or be consistent. It seems that the only thing I'm consistent in, is in being distracted. The same goes for work. My shifts are on autopilot and I'm socially drained when I get back, but then I know I have homework and other responsibilities. I'm not in the "rat race" yet, and I don't want to be, but it seems that time is flying past me faster than it ever did before, and the time I do have is taken up by everything else I don't want to do. I really have to make time for things I want to do, and the time I do make, never seems like it's enough.

I came to this channel because I found an actual relatable desk setup that wasn't sponsored by Grovemade, and stayed for the relatable life experiences. I'm a 4th year bio student who isn't all about the party life style, and your experience on routine really resonated with me. I thought I had my whole life planned out for me when I was a computer science student, that I'd get an internship out of college and work in big tech. But after revaluating my path and trying to do things I'm more passionate about, it's given me more perspective and a chance to enjoy the things I love to do, even without a set plan. Your videos are so well edited and high effort that I always look forward to the next one, I wish you the best!

As a second year aerospace engineering student, this hit home. I've felt so loss in the endless studies and assignments that I forget that doing stuff outside the routine and switching things up is normal, but I've become accustomed to ignoring it. Thanks for the reminder. Looking forward to more relatable content.

I never was a student, I finished my apprenticeship when I was 19 (I am 37 now - time flies!). I also craved more than a 9 to 5 job, but I ended up being in a 7-3 job (half a year working just 4 days per week, about using my holidays how I want to use them in single days) and since some years, I am allowed to work 3 days per week from home, which is awesome for me. I always wanted to help people. In my position in complaint management in a bank after some other experience I have a slight feeling that I can. Back then I would not think that this work could help but it does! So even without a red line and a good plan for my life, I ended up to a thing that feels good for me. I just can say for now, follow your heart and try to see all points of view in hard times. Your life doesn't need to be a perfect CV. We are not alive to impress others than ourselves! btw - nice video and good luck with your journey of life. :)

Soo trueee.. even now it’s two weeks break i just didn’t worked on my school work for three days i feel so down and disappointed on myself and like u said we are on out-pilot we haven’t put anything in our day that we can look forward to idk maybe we should but can it be… maybe my fav part is just going to bed but eventually I won’t stay for a few minutes until I’m dead sleep so.. maybe there is a huge gap in our spiritual wellbeing aspect our mental wellbeing there must be that gap that leaves us on this situation..😐

Sometimes it's not about giving up on the interactions and "the good parts" for routine but it's about combining them. Getting some folk to regularly go to the gym with you, or sharing meal times with friends can help put stories to days of a week and stop monotonous days blurring together on autopilot.
