Same, I got in! How did it go??
Thank u sm!! This was so helpful
ofc!!
Could y’all film some advice videos for the Barnard application? I’m interested to know what your extracurriculars were in high school ?
yes! will do keep an eye out for it soon
Hi thank you soo much! Could you do a computer science minor video?
great idea! yes
could you do a video about what its like being a premed at barnard? (specifically non-stem majors)
oooh great vid idea! neither of us are premed. But our friend is and we can see if shed talk to us about the process!
This video was so helpful!!! Can you please tell me the name of the "baby bio" class so that I can register for it this fall. Y'all are a lifesaver 🤩
ty for watching! lemme find that class for you now :)
how many courses did you take each semester of your first year?
I've taken 5 courses all semesters but one! (my first semester of my senior year). I think it is smart bc it gives a lot more options for you later on to chose majors/minors/ switch these. However, a lot of people take 4 their first semester to get use to course load!
Can a course count for two modes of thinking requirements? So like can I take one course that fulfills both Thinking with Historical Perspective and Thinking Through Global Inquiry or do I have to take two separate courses?
This a great question to which I do not have the answer. I don’t quite remember honestly :/ I would reach out to someone who works at Barnard who would know!
Thanks for making these videos! I'm considering applying ED too :)) I have a couple of questions for you guys: do Barnard students really get the "best of both worlds" of Barnard and Columbia/are there any specific instances where this isn't true? And do y'all know what the undergrad research opportunities are like and how common it is for Barnard students to participate in research?
Thanks again hehe I love this channel!
HI Allison, thank you so much for your comment! There are SO many research opportunities for Barnard students. I am economics major and I decided I wanted to do research this semester, I literally just spoke with my advisor and he gave me a list of professors who are doing research and needed help. Professors are always looking for students to do research with and will provide amazing support and mentorship for you while you are helping them. Additionally, I have a lot of friends who got paid to do research via different Barnard grants over the summer. I don't have much more detail for this but just know the opportunities are truly endless. Also in regards to your Barnard/ Columbia questions we have a few videos up on our channel that try (our best) to answer that!
Can you pls do a video on spillin the tea about Columbia and Barnard?
Or maybe even a video on your experience balancing NYC & College
